Going into my induction with no sleep!!

I’m being induced in 3 hours and could not sleep whatsoever!! The reality of everything is hitting me, second guessing my decision on the VBAC.

I’m 3cm dilated, but I’m not in labor at all. They plan on popping my water, waiting 4 hours and starting pitocin if labor didn’t establish it isn’t consistent enough.

How likely is it that I’ll actually get a stretch of sleep during all this? I’m so stressed!!

I have one week to go into spontaneous labor, induction is off the table, any advice?

My doctor, and everyone else I’ve consulted won’t do inductions for VBACs. It’s either spontaneous labor or repeat c section. I didn’t care about that, until I was diagnosed with suspected fetal growth restriction at 38 weeks and was told I have a week to go into spontaneous labor!

I saw people mention evening primrose oil as suppositories yet I also saw someone saw it could soften scar tissue and increase risk of rupture. Any any any advice would need greatly appreciated.

Might have to do a C section at 39 weeks due to ‘low weight’?! I’m not convinced.

I’m 38 weeks today and my baby measured at 2.5KG, that’s the exact weight my first born was at birth at 38 weeks. I never went into labor with my first, medical malpractice is what lead to my c section but that’s a long story. I am a great candidate for VBAC as confirmed by 4 different OBGYN’s.

My Dr is saying we’ll until I’m 39 weeks for me to go into labor naturally otherwise we will have to do a c section. I am not convinced at all! The blood supply is excellent, his week by week weight gain is excellent, there are absolutely no concerns except that apparently 2.5 KG is slightly low at 38 weeks apparently. Her explanation is that the placenta ages and the baby won’t grow as well, huh?!

She says we can’t induce because inductions aren’t allowed with VBACs. I already asked her to call me so I can voice my concerns and I booked a consultation with another OBGYN tomorrow for a second opinion. I’m not looking for a medical opinion I just wanted to see if this makes any sense to anyone else because it makes none to me.

I can’t handle the whining, feels like a bee buzzing at my ears

I love motherhood genuinely the most fulfilling things ever despite hardships but the one thing that has been a true bother and annoyance for me has been the whining. It’s so irritating and overstimulating, I had to cover my ears so many times today.

It’s not like he’s requesting something and whining while doing it, he’s just “buzzing” with no clear reason. He’s just 1 year and 7 months, all the advice I’ve seen online don’t specify his age. I just need the mute button.

Obviously he’s bothered by something and so am I when he starts buzzing like that.

Shady subtle marketing across Emirati subreddits

Over the last week or two I’ve come across multiple posts, all of them about hair, and all of them mentioning ‘Be Bodywise’ products. I found it weird so I looked into it and turns out these Redditors get paid to post and get engagement while mentioning the product and brand!

Most recent one on this subreddit is about hair fall in the UAE, but there are multiple posts from different accounts across so many subreddits related to the UAE including DubaiCentral, Emirati Girls, UAE, Dubai, and more.

Just thought I’d inform others to beware of this marketing scheme.

Why are people from Myanmar suddenly coming to the Middle East for work?

I’m interested in learning why there is a sudden increase in people from Myanmar coming to work in the Middle East or more specifically the UAE?

When we were younger the work force was majority Filipinos but in recent years I’ve been seeing more and more people from Myanmar, even ones who apply to work as live in maids and nannys. A lot of them are so young too literally 18! It makes me wonder if some of them are pushed by their parents to come and work.

How are the average salaries like in Myanmar? What is the general outlook people have to working in the Middle East ? Is the pay actually that much better to be worth it? Are job opportunities low in Myanmar?

I’m so sick of farting 😪

I swear it feels like a workout, worst part is I can only go when I’m on the toilet so I have to get up multiple times at night just to let it rip. By the time I’m back in bed there’s another one ready to go. If I try to ignore it I get Braxton Hicks!! Who knew this could bother me more than the nausea.

Teeth yellowing from aligners despite excellent hygiene.

I know the first thing people will say is hygiene, but I brush and floss my teeth over 5 times a day. I never put on my trays before brushing & flossing, never eat or drink anything other than water with them on.

I’ve always had super white teeth to the point people thought I had them whitened when I didn’t. So, I don’t understand. Why have my teeth suddenly start yellowing from the aligners? My dental hygiene is incredible and has always been, I’m just so confused.

Is it possible that excessive brushing somehow causes it?

I don’t understand why his bedtimes so inconsistent.

He used to be so good, slept independently at the same time everyday. He’s 1.5 years old now and that’s no longer the case, he will absolutely not sleep to a schedule whether it’s the nap or bedtime.

He will run around until he’s completely exhausted that he passes out as soon as we carry him to the crib. He naps around 12, and his sleep varies between 8:30 to 11PM. He has 1 nap capped at 1 hour, he wakes up everyday at 7AM (we wake him in attempt of keeping a schedule).

I just don’t get it.

Is it time to potty train?

I had been interested in EC since birth but I couldn’t be consistent. He’s 1.5 years old now and he’s really good at communicating whenever he goes #2. He announces it (screams “kaka”) before he wants to go, and right after. We also always wash him after so he just runs directly to the bathroom as soon as he’s finished.

I feel like we’re just a single step away from potty training, but I was gonna look through the potty training subreddit for advice and got demotivated because the single post I saw on 18 months old had the comments all saying he’s too young. I’m also thinking it may not be the right time since I’m pregnant in the 3rd trimester.. I’m not sure how long potty training takes.

Electrolysis has been the best thing I’ve ever done

I was looking through my snap memories and found photos of which I was documenting the paradoxical hypertrichosis in my face and hormonal hair growth in my neck.

It took me right back in time, it’s so weird how something purely cosmetic could have such a huge impact on mental health. I could easily tell from the photos how miserable I was, really gave me a chance to reflect and be thankful.

Another thing is, I knew my skin got immensely better after starting electrolysis but I did not expect it to be as dramatic as it is. I used to get really bad acne around the hair growth due to irritation, so many scars. My skin is so clear now. I’m just grateful.

I was going to attach photos but I don’t want the post to be about my progress or images, just ranting.

My mom is overly concerned over my toddler’s self soothing habit

I’ve wanted to make this post so long ago but I am so concerned that creeps can access this so I’m planning on deleting this.

Ever since my son was born he would always grab himself during diaper changes and my mom would go on about how he’s gonna be a handful when he grows up insinuating that it’s a sexual behavior when *I know* it is not. I got pissed off about it and knew she was not right.

Ever since he turned 6 months he has been sleeping on his stomach with his hands under him. Eventually, his hands always was around his diaper area but I was not concerned. At some point he started moving rythmatically but again I was not concerned as I read its just self soothing to sleep.

However, I feel like things changed now at 18 months. It became a little habit that is no longer limited to sleep, at any chance he will lay on his stomach and move rythmatically while grabbing his diaper. I just always stopped him and distracted, and I decided to also intervene when puts himself to sleep by keeping his hands by his side hoping it would make him forget about it but he just ends up kind of grinding the mattress anyways.

Anyways, I recently went on holiday for a week while my mom took care of him and she just called me talking to me about it and how often he did it and it has me fuming. Partly because it had already been on my mind, it’s embarrassing especially when he does it in public and at family gatherings, I can tell what everyone’s thinking without them uttering a single word and I’m just there fighting him to stop and do something else but he just drops to the floors and keeps at it and it’s been such a burden for a while.

He’s not old enough for me to tell him not to do this in public and frankly I don’t think he’s even old enough to even feel anything remotely sexual which is why my mothers comments pisses me off so much especially given the comments she had when was just one month old!!!!! I’m a woman so naturally I actually have no clue whether it’s possible or not and don’t know how to talk to my husband about my feelings since it’s been weighing on me so I’m posting here. I already decided I’m gonna be blunt with her and tell her to never bring up this topic again whenever she does next time but I’m trying to work through my own feelings about it and if I am supposed to do anything about it or what.

I started electrolysis to get rid of both hormonal and paradoxical growth from laser. I saw treatment was going really well and got excited so I requested they treat the fine hairs as well.

It worked too good, my cheeks feels too bald now. I didn’t realize how much softness those hairs add to the face, it was almost a transition from the sideburns to the cheeks. After the years of struggle I went through with hirsutism, I never even thought that there will be a time I make a post like this.

Just a rant, not complaining. Very happy about my progress, electrolysis has been the best thing I’ve ever done.

I would much rather get the Denza N9 through the official dealers here but they aren’t launching it until early 2027 and who knows how long it will take to deliver after that.

I need a family car, and I’m giving birth in August so I’m on a time constraint. My main concern here is purchasing it from the gray market and struggling with maintenance and parts.

Here’s my question, considering the official dealers are planning on launching it soon anyways, does that eliminate the struggles I’m worried about (maintenance and parts)?

My second choice is a Rox 01 but the 7 seater 3rd row doesn’t have isofix for car seats so kind of defeats the point of getting it as a family car.

I desperately need to get some maternity pants but I can’t seem to decide which form to get. Some come with the stretch panel all avoid the top (right) and some come with the stretch panel on the sides only (left).

I can’t seem to find anything in stores so I’m ordering online and don’t want to waste money if it’s not comfortable. If you’ve tried both forms, which did you find most comfortable?
