I’m my goshI’m so jealous of millennials they got everything 💔 The DVDs, the clothing style, flip phones, MySpace, music. They’re so lucky. This decade is so boring and everyone is so boring with no personality. Everyone just wants to fit it with others now in fear of being made fun of. The 2000s technology looked way better than today’s I wish it never evolved past that. Any millennials reading this just know I envy you 🙃 Teen culture is so dead hopefully 2030s will be better
My question is why do you guys still follow the bible if it was used to justify slavery? And if god is on the side of the oppressed, what does that mean when the oppressed are still the ones suffering?
Two choices we have. Worship God until you die or don’t worship him and spend eternity in hell. Not to mention he is “all knowing and is in control of everything”. Meaning every choice you make he already knew what choice you would pick and everything is planned. The Christian logic is something good happens = gods plan, and when something bad happens = free will.
Christian’s will say when a child dies of cancer it’s “free will”. Did the child choose to have cancer? Or they’ll say “consequences” what did a child do that made them die of cancer? Clearly not an all loving God. Christian’s praise God but blame the devil. God is responsible for all the “good” things in the world and the devil is responsible for the “bad” things in the world.
This puts god and the devil on the same level of power. Because they both have the power to influence the world. So if God has the power to stop the devil from doing bad things to the world then why would he not stop the devil? Isaiah 45;7 God declares his sovereignty over all creation saying he forms both light and darkness, and brings both peace and calamity.
Their god is also responsible for all the child rape, violence, wars diseases etc… But no Christian’s respond by calling it the devils work giving him EVEN MORE power. So God notices the bad happening and doesn’t care so he is not all good. Mind you god created the devil knowing what he would become.
“If you need the threat of hell to be a good person, you are just a bad person on a leash”.
If God exists I think he would be more proud of atheists who don’t need a reason to be good and kind to people. This is one of the reasons I dropped Christianity. Why do I need a reason to be good?
I’ve been told it’s best to follow Christianity just in case God is real but that to me is saying you’re just living in fear
I woke up today and I had 3 long thin scratches going down my arm. I didn’t wear any rough clothing to sleep and I have woollen bedsheets. There’s no way I could’ve scratched myself because I was wearing a long sleeve shirt. Nothing in my bed either that could scratch me in my sleep so I’m a bit confused. I don’t own pets
I’m male so I don’t really think this could happen or maybe I uploaded it wrong? I just followed the normal instructions from ancestry
So I’m Nigerian specifically Igbo and wondering which gedmatch calculator I need to run my dna into to get the most accurate results.
God is described as all powerful, meaning He has the ability to prevent evil. He is also described as all loving, meaning he would want to prevent unnecessary suffering. Yet evil and suffering continue to exist.
For example, why would an all loving, all powerful god allow someone to be raped or murdered? Or consider a baby born with a painful condition that means they will only live for a few days before dying. What purpose does that baby’s suffering and death serve?
When I hear Christians respond to questions like these, the most common answers are that god gave humans free will or that humans cannot be forced to love Him. While that may address suffering caused by human choices, it doesn’t explain cases like the baby born with a fatal disorder. That baby did not choose their condition.
Another response is that god can bring good out of suffering. But if god is truly all powerful, why would He need someone to suffer or die in order to bring about good? Couldn’t an all powerful god accomplish that same good without allowing such suffering in the first place?
To me these questions are difficult to reconcile with the idea of a god who is both perfectly loving and all powerful.

It’s 2am now and I just got up becasue I saw a light pulsating in the middle of the sky. It’s looked like it was moving further and further away but it’s gone now. This is around Clare.
Last night I was explaining to my parents that if god is all knowing there is no way free will can exist, becasue he knows what you will choose every time so it’s impossible to choose different. They proceeded to say “I’m thinking too philosophicaly”because I’m using logic to think and not just blindly following a book. They said philosophers end up not believing in god because they think too hard and go crazy. I just thought that was stupid because that’s not even a concept that is hard to understand, and if your religion is being dismantled that easily I think you need to open your eyes. I think I’m going to open up another conversation about this so if appreciate advice
