Just opened my sealed copy of ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ ready for tomorrow night’s viewing, checked out the date on the leaflet inside and was instantly disappointed.

A lenticular spoof ad at a bus stop near Meta's London headquarters flips TV personality Kylie Jenner's smart glasses campaign into a skeletal surveillance warning depending on where you stand.

The design borrows from They Live, the 1988 film where special sunglasses expose the manipulation hidden inside advertising.

The underlying concern is real, since the latest Ray-Ban Meta generation records up to three minutes of continuous video, has stealth mods and researchers have demonstrated again and again that footage can be matched to names and addresses using facial recognition.

Thanks to all who said to get this multi case for the Godzilla criterion collection. Disc 6 and 7 were a little bit stuck so I think I switched them all in time.

Went in after coming out from watching The Mandalorian and Grogu. Was after The Matrix, Re-Animator and Pitch Black, so picked these up instead

Haven’t watched City of God in an age, so looking forward to reminding myself how good it is. Mary and Max is a first time watch, going in completely blind about it.

Enjoyed another visit to NYC with this one

Out buying some 4k films today. Wasn’t looking for a steelbook, wasn’t looking for this film, but as soon as I saw it, I had to have it.

Saw this many moons ago, a blind watch on VHS and I absolutely loved it. Don’t think I ever upgraded from the VHS copy, so it’s been a while since I’ve seen it. Looking forward to tonight’s viewing
