Today my belief was shook

Funny post just to say although I adore living solo, and have done for the past 2 years… today my unshakeable belief in living alone was challenged by accidentally meeting a real life Thor 😂

My God ladies (and or gents) this man was beautiful. And he was kind, gentle all round decent person. I almost proposed to this mythical wonder of a person on the spot 😂

Then I realised he’d probably judge me for crafting at 3am while listening to heavy metal because I felt like it. And all was well again, the peace of being alone returned!

Who’s your living alone/your best life challenger? Who nearly made you give it all up?

Caius Faa’Tili 👏👏👏

Appreciation post for the phenomenal crawl over the line by Faa’Tili tonight

I’m not a Wakey supporter (although admittedly I’m a big fan of them) but something tells me that will be on Highlight Reels for many years to come 👏

What a try

Bird mimicking car alarm in UK

Yesterday I heard a bird mimicking a car alarm, they started with the urgent siren

Then they had a little sing song before moving onto the more sedate “beep…beep…beep” when an alarm doesn’t get switched off for a while

It was truly amazing, tone sounded most like a Blackbird but I couldn’t get to my phone quickly enough to record/use Merlin

Is there a UK bird known to do this?

Edit: thank you, I’m absolutely amazed at how many birds can mimic here!

I have a very vocal Blackbird that frequents a neighbours TV aerial so my money is on him. I had thought said neighbours were expert toast burners - their smoke alarm goes off quite often… 😉

Looking for advice and practical tips on how to deal with very sudden changes. I’m moving to a place I don’t know/have never been to and with no people I know there.

I have tried to research the area a little, and the house I will be living in to ease the transition. I’ve looked up cool things I can do and groups I can join when I get there…but the change in routine is very hard.

Even the changes to my daily routine because I’m having to make time to pack is very stressful, so starting somewhere new all over again is just something I’m not coping with.

Can anyone offer any practical advice to make this easier? Would writing out a new daily routine help? So many unknowns and stress I’m drowning
