How do you deal with wanting someone to talk to when you’re in your 30s?

How do you deal with wanting someone to talk to when you’re in your 30s?

How do you deal with wanting someone to talk to when you’re in your 30s?

I’m curious how people in their 30s deal with this.

I’m having one of those Saturday evenings where I really feel like talking to someone. Not necessarily because something is wrong, but because I just want to have a conversation with someone who gets me.

I live with my parents, I have friends and family, but sometimes I don’t feel comfortable reaching out to them. You know when you have people around you but still don’t feel like you have your person? Someone you can randomly call, talk to for hours, share your thoughts with, or even just sit in silence with.

I tried doing the usual things today. I watched The Vampire Diaries, tried reading, tried distracting myself. But I couldn’t really focus on anything.

And eventually, I ended up scrolling reels which, of course, made everything worse.

The algorithm keeps showing me romantic, lovey-dovey content, and when you’re already feeling a little lonely, it hits differently.

I’m not even sure whether I actually want a relationship at this particular moment, or whether I’m simply craving human connection.

So for those of you in your 30s—what do you do when you have these moments?

When you want to talk to someone but don’t have anyone or you don’t have a partner or “your person” to call, how do you deal with it?

Do you simply sit with the feeling? Distract yourself? Go out alone? Journal? Call someone anyway? Or have you found a way to genuinely become comfortable with your own company?

Can I do sadhana today on grahan during my 5th day of period?

Today is the 5th day of my period, and I’ve already washed my head twice in the last five days.

Today is also a Grahan and Rajashri Nandy Sir has given a specific sadhana to do. I wanted to ask whether I can perform it while I’m still on my period. Would doing it cause any spiritual complication according to traditional Bhairava/Tantric practices?

If the formal sadhana is not advisable during menstruation can I at least do maansik japa of the mantra, like “Om Bhairavaya Namah”? Or do the sadhana advice by Rajashri Nandy Sir ?

Lost almost 60% of my hair

I’ve been losing a lot of hair these days. I’ve already lost around 60% of the hair I had as a teenager, and if this continues, I’m worried I won’t have much left. I have vitamin D and B12 deficiencies, and I’m taking medication for both, but the hair fall hasn’t improved. The saddest part is that I’m losing hair much faster than it’s growing back, so the new hair growth just isn’t keeping up… FYI- last photo is current picture..

Can a woman in her early 30s, with no plans of getting married, still find happiness?

I’m a woman in early thirties. I’m the only earning member in my family. I have elderly parents, no siblings and almost 100% financial responsibility for the household. Marriage isn’t a part of my life plan anymore not because I hate the idea but because of my circumstances.

This post isn’t about whether I should get married or not. That decision has already been made. What I’m struggling with is everything that comes after. I don’t even remember the last time I genuinely smiled.

I’ve slowly stopped talking to most of my relatives because every conversation eventually turns into “When are you getting married?” They don’t understand that it’s not that simple. In a small town and an orthodox family being an unmarried woman in your 30s is still treated very differently. I know many people will say, “things have changed” but honestly, they haven’t changed everywhere.

The same thing happens with acquaintances and even colleagues. I can’t really call them friends because whenever a conversation becomes personal, someone eventually says, “you can’t stay alone forever just get married.”

To keep myself occupied, I work a lot recently, I also started reading books because people say books can become your best friends. They do help. They keep my mind engaged and I genuinely enjoy reading but it’s still a different world. It keeps you busy, but there’s still something missing.

The hardest part is at night. When work is over, my parents go to sleep and I’m sitting alone… that’s when everything hits me.

I wonder where my life is going. I wonder what my future will look like and the thought that scares me the most is, what happens when my parents are no longer here?

I’ve seen videos of women in their 40s who never married. Some of them seem happy and fulfilled. Some have strong friend circles and meaningful lives but I don’t even have that. I don’t have a support system outside my parents.

As I’m writing this, I have tears in my eyes.

I’m not really looking for advice about marriage. Please don’t tell me to “just get married.” I’m looking for hope.

If you’re a woman who chose or had circumstances that led you to remain single, especially in India, how did you build a meaningful life? How did you deal with the loneliness, the constant questions from people, and the fear of growing older alone?

And if you’ve found happiness, what did that journey actually look like?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Has anyone here actually practiced Kamdev-Rati Sadhana? Looking for genuine experiences.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been researching a practice called Kamdev-Rati Sadhana, which is mentioned in some publications from Pracheen Mantra Yantra Vigyan/Kailash Siddhashram. The claims made in the text are quite extraordinary, so I wanted to ask people who have actually practiced it or have knowledge of this tradition.

According to the material I found, the sadhana is said to:

* Increase personal magnetism and charisma.
* Make a person appear more attractive and radiant.
* Improve confidence and overall presence.
* Bring the blessings of Kamdev (the deity of love and attraction) and Rati.

The procedure involves starting on a Friday after 10 PM, worshipping a Ratikaam Yantra, chanting 51 malas of “Om Kaam Ratyei Phat”, wearing the yantra for 21 days, and continuing daily japa. The text also says that Guru Diksha is required.

I’m curious about this particular sadhana and wanted to hear from people with real experience.

* Has anyone here actually practiced it?
* Did you notice any genuine changes, or are the claims exaggerated?
* Is Guru Diksha truly necessary, or has anyone done it without initiation?
* Is this considered an authentic traditional practice or a modern publication?

I’m not looking for promotional claims—just honest experiences and opinions from people who have practiced it or know about this tradition.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Are Scorpio Ascendants destined for a difficult life? What’s your experience?

Hey fellow Scorpio Ascendants,

I often hear that Scorpio Ascendants go through constant transformations and that life tends to be more intense or challenging than for others. I’m curious—has that actually been true in your experience?

How has life treated you overall? Has it been particularly difficult, or has it been relatively smooth? What kinds of transformations have you experienced?

I’m also curious about the spiritual side. People often say Scorpio Ascendants are naturally drawn toward tantra, sadhana, occult subjects, or deep spiritual practices. Has that been true for you?

Also, which Mahadasha and Antardasha are you currently running, and how has it been affecting your life?

In my case, I’m in Rahu Mahadasha – Sun Antardasha. My Sun is in the 8th house and is also my 10th lord. Since the Sun Antardasha began, I’ve been dealing with a lot of challenges at work, especially ego clashes and power struggles. I had expected this period to bring career-related issues, and so far, that’s exactly how it has been unfolding.

I’d love to hear your experiences. Whether your life has been difficult, transformative, or surprisingly positive, please share your story. It would be interesting to see if there are any common patterns among Scorpio Ascendants.

32F, Unmarried, and Constantly Feeling Behind. Looking for Advice on Reinventing Myself.

I’m 32, unmarried, and lately I’ve been struggling with the feeling that I’m behind in life. Not just in terms of relationships, but in terms of who I’ve become as a person.

I want to be someone who learns quickly, thinks clearly, speaks confidently, communicates well, and has depth and presence. Sometimes I feel slow to understand things or slow to respond, and I wonder if intelligence and communication skills can genuinely be developed at this stage of life.

I’m ready to put in the work—reading, writing, exercising, journaling, practicing public speaking, learning new skills—whatever it takes. I don’t want shortcuts; I want a realistic roadmap.

For those of you who transformed yourselves in your 30s or later:
-What habits made the biggest difference?
-Which books or resources changed the way you think?
-How did you become more articulate and confident?
-How did you stop comparing yourself to others and focus on your own growth?

I’d really appreciate practical advice and personal experiences rather than motivational quotes. Thank you.

Is solo female travel in India really as safe as social media makes it look?

Hey girls,

Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I have seen so many YouTube and Instagram creators talking about how solo female travel is becoming safer in India and how some cities are great for women travelers. Right now, I’m in Varanasi with my mom, and honestly, my experience has been very different.

A little context: I’m 32, dressed pretty normally, and not doing anything that draws attention. Yesterday, I was returning from the airport wearing a simple jeans and top. Today, I was walking alone during broad daylight, around noon, wearing a salwar suit. In both cases, men were staring at me constantly. Not a quick glance, but the kind of staring that makes you very uncomfortable.

What surprised me even more is that it doesn’t seem to matter what I wear. Even when I covered my face because of the heat, people still stared. It’s mostly men, not women.

I live in Bangalore, and while no place is perfect, I rarely experience this level of constant staring there. Here, I genuinely don’t feel free while walking alone. I find myself becoming more conscious of how I look, where I’m walking, and who’s around me. It’s frustrating because I came here with a lot of respect for the city’s culture, history, and spiritual significance.

A friend told me that things used to be much worse and that this is actually an improvement. But if that’s true, why does this still happen? Why can’t women simply walk down the street without feeling watched all the time?

I don’t mean this as criticism of Varanasi specifically. I’m trying to understand whether this is something other women experience too, especially while traveling in different parts of India.

Has this happened to you? How do you deal with it? Do you eventually learn to ignore it, or does it always bother you?

Would genuinely like to hear your experiences.

Is Returning Home During Mrityu Panchak After a Varanasi Pilgrimage Considered Inauspicious? Seeking Guidance

I need a genuine opinion and understanding of this from people who know about Panchak.

I reached Varanasi on 5th June for darshan of Kashi Vishwanath, Sankat Mochan, Kal Bhairav, and other temples. Late at night, a family member called me and told me that Panchak (specifically Mrityu Panchak) is starting from 6th June around 7:30 PM and will continue until 11th June.

The issue is that I have a return flight to Bangalore on 8th June. My family is saying that travelling during Panchak is very inauspicious and that I should be careful.

I am confused because:

- I started this pilgrimage before Panchak began.

-I am not travelling somewhere new; I am simply returning to the city where I live and work.

- I am coming back after visiting one of the most sacred pilgrimage places in Hinduism.

- My Ishtadev is Kal Bhairav, and I have been visiting his temple daily while in Varanasi.

I know some people may say that if I have faith in Kal Bhairav, I shouldn’t be scared, but I am being honest that this information has made me anxious.

So my questions are:

- Is travelling during Panchak actually considered inauspicious according to Hindu traditions?

- Does it apply in a situation like mine where I am returning home after a pilgrimage?

- Are there any remedies, prayers, or rituals that people traditionally do before travelling during Panchak?

I would appreciate sincere and respectful answers, especially from those who have knowledge of Hindu scriptures, astrology, or personal experience with Panchak.

Thank you.

32F | Brahmin | 5”7| Looking For Life Partner| 22 LPA

Hello :)

32F, currently based in Bangalore with my parents. Originally from Chhattisgarh, with family roots in Uttar Pradesh, and brought up with traditional Hindu Brahmin values.

A little about me:
I’m a working professional earning ~22 LPA, financially independent, and fairly settled in my career, though still ambitious and wanting to grow further. Life wasn’t always easy financially, so stability means a lot to me today.

I’m a single child, and my parents are a very important part of my life. As they’re growing older, their care and wellbeing are my responsibility, and any potential partner should be understanding of that. Whether they stay with me, nearby, or I continue traveling frequently to care for them, this is non-negotiable for me.

Lifestyle-wise:
- Pure vegetarian (strictly no non-veg)
- Non-smoker, non-drinker
- Health conscious; I work out regularly
- 5’7”
- Spirituality is a very important part of my life—not just as a belief system, but as a daily practice. Puja, sadhana, devotion, and inner growth are deeply meaningful to me.

Long term, I see myself moving toward a more spiritually aligned life—perhaps in places like Varanasi or Ujjain someday—balancing seva, spiritual practice, and a peaceful life once major worldly responsibilities are fulfilled.

Personality-wise, I’m not extremely outgoing or socially hyperactive. I have a small close circle, value meaningful connections over quantity, enjoy dancing, cooking when time permits, occasional movies, spending time with family, and I’m hoping to travel more in the coming years.

Why am I here?
Honestly, I wasn’t always sure about marriage, partly due to what I’ve seen around me. But with time, I’ve realized that if I do choose partnership, I’d want one built on love, respect, emotional safety, friendship, shared values, and mutual effort.

Looking for:
- Hindu (strong preference for Brahmin / someone aligned with similar values and lifestyle)
- Age-compatible, emotionally mature, kind, compassionate
- Financially independent (similar professional stability preferred)
- Health-conscious
- Ideally 5’11+ (yes, I love heels 😄)
- Someone who respects spirituality, family responsibilities, and personal boundaries
- Someone who understands that marriage means partnership, not control

I’m open to living with family if the environment is respectful and balanced, but I do need a partner who understands my bond and responsibilities toward my parents.

If you’re looking for something genuine, value-led, emotionally mature, and long-term, feel free to connect.

PS: I took some help from AI to organize my thoughts better
