The truck still drives great but the rear brake lines rusted out and the bracket where the E brake attaches to on the driver side has completely rusted off, so it won't pass inspection. It's a V8 4x4 extended cab Sport. Also the bolt connecting the drive shaft to the differential has almost rusted through completely. My mechanic quoted me $1200 to replace brake lines and the bolt, but can't fix the e brake bracket. The ac and heat do not work. It has 213k miles and I just use it for the dump and hardware store. It's been in my family since new. It will probably cost me $1000 to get the E brake bracket replaced, but the truck is so rusted you can poke your finger through the front bumper.

Is it time to junk it? Would anyone buy it? I looked at replacing the lines myself but they are very hard to get at and I'm not that patient or that good of a mechanic.

I've been riding for over 20 years and was in great shape when I started. About 5 years ago I put on a lot of weight and I'm not sure why, but I did. I can't ride nearly as much as I want to because of it. I need to lose 50 pounds. Have any of you struggled with this before and how did you lose the weight?

I rented a XC90 B6 AWD in California while on a trip because I've always liked the way they look and am in the market for a new vehicle. The MSRP of this vehicle is $79k! I currently own a Pilot and it is by far a much nicer vehicle. First, it rides extremely rough. You feel every single road imperfection. That was totally unexpected. I expected it to ride like a cloud. The Pilot rides smooth. Second, there is only a screen to cover the sunroof which does nothing to block out the heat from the sun and is always letting in light. There is no way to close it fully. Third, you have to turn auto start/stop off and through the screen every single time you start the vehicle. Forth, there are no steering wheel controls for volume or controlling media. Fifth, the auto setting for the AC is not auto as it doesn't control the fan. The fan speed is manual and there is a huge difference between 1 and 2 but very little between 2 and 5. Basically you either have a very low quiet fan or a strong loud one. Sixth, the Harmon Kadron audio is lacking and the sound is all around muddy no matter what I did with it.

Maybe I missed something, but I expected the seats to be ventilated, but couldn't figure out how to get them to cool. The heat option was clear, though.

The 360 degree camera was awesome, especially in a tight parking garage.

The driver assist was a little wonky. it would alert me when nothing was there.

The adaptive cruise control is the worst of any car I've driven, which would be my pilot and a Camry that I rented. It almost came to a complete stop on 10 with no traffic close to me. it scared the crap out of me so I stopped using it.

Anyway, I was extremely disappointed, but at the same time gained more appreciation for my Pilot that outperforms the Volvo in all the areas above and costs half as much.

I've done the 1.5, 4, 9 and just started the 25 mg pill and nothing has happened other than being tired and sometimes I get horrible headaches. It's bizarre because I don't think I'm eating much at all, but at times I have a huge appetite, usually in the morning which is odd because before this, I didn't eat in the morning.

Anyway, I'm done wasting money on this. It just doesn't work.

I have to wear a black suit and tie for a wedding in August. I sweat 💦 a lot.

Can anyone recommend a good dress shirt for summer weather and a heavy sweater? And perhaps an undershirt?

I've been looking all over and came across Mark Dodge in LA. My local dealers are giving me prices about $10k more than theirs. I will fly down there and buy a truck if those prices are real. Are they the cheapest in the country? Seems too good to be true.

Ram is making it hard not pulling the trigger. I was pricing trucks and the difference between the Big Horn Lone Star and the Laramie is $10k to $15k. Other than leather interior, what is the extra expense for?

Look, listening on a phone is one thing, but I spent some time watching some good phone recordings of Rush in my home theater and on my sound system you can hear every drum hit. On the phone, you miss 75% of it. Anika is amazing and I don't know how she learned all of this in only a year. It's one thing to learn the songs, but to learn them so accurately is insane. She is definitely one of the greatest drummers alive today.

I have a wedding to go to and it's in a church without AC. I'm from DC and that would be awful here. I'm supposed to wear a suit and am concerned that it's going to be miserably hot. What's it like there in early August?
