One Day I’ll Have To Bury My Daughter

TW; Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Loathing, Self-Harm, Death, Gore, Depression, and Existential Topics.

And it’s not a secret. This curse of eternal life was given to me twice. One by a mad scientist, and then again by a mad titan.

Of all the people who could’ve done good with eternal life, they chose me. And for what? So I could suffer endlessly? So I could watch my friends become facists and their statistics?

I’m not crazy. I’m unstable, I’m unwell, but I’m not crazy. I know what’s really going on. I can’t die because they don’t want me to. I could have died so long ago, but I didn’t. And now that open wound has closed up, and I will never again know peace.

I know that I never shut up about it. About how much I want to die. But the truth is, it’s not my fault. The fact of the matter is, as much as I hate my life, I hate myself even more. I don’t want to die because it would be comfortable. I want to die because I deserve to.

They say that you only truly die once you are forgotten, yet I’ll live far beyond that point. My legacy, my memory, will only last as far as I’m willing to remind them of it. That won’t be very long.

Because I’m not a human, or a mutant, or superhero, or a villain, or anything like that.

I’m a monster. A cancer. And there’s nothing I can do about it. This is all I know, all I’m willing to know. The only warmth is the feeling innards against my skin. Of blood splashing onto me. A short Polaroid of Death’s cold embrace.

My daughter’s beauty only serves to distract from her oblivion. The kindness of those closest to me only helps avoid the abyss that waits for me in the end. I can joke all I want, but it’s true.

Nothing lasts forever. And that’s exactly what I am.

Part 3; Green Lantern + Spider-Man = Spider Totem!

Long ago, the ancients created the Beast Totems to bond with warriors that would henceforth be able to protect the universe. Each totem corresponded with both an emotion wavelength, and an animal that embodied it.

One day, when young mechanic Peter Jordan was on a trip through a Californian desert, an alien StarCraft crash landed before him. Bloodied and battered, an alien by the name of Aben Pasur crawled out from the wreckage. He entrusted Peter with a mystical wristband known as a Spider Totem, and told him the Spider Totem’s oath.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Upon wielding the ring, Jordan could fly, sense danger, and, most importantly, create most anything by shooting glowing webbing from his Totem. Peter realized that he would have to honor the memory of the kindly Aben by carrying on the duty of protecting the innocent.

From that day onward, Peter became Sector 2616’s primary Spider Totem. However, many others have taken on the mantle, such as Miles Stewart, Jessica Crew, Ben Gardener, Kyle Parker, and many others. After all, anyone can wear the band!

What happened to Wade’s teleporter?

In his older appearances Wade teleporte a lot. Like A LOT a lot.

But he just doesn’t do it anymore. Its such a bust!

In fact, he has a lot of gadgets and gimmicks that were just left behind to focus on the lame metahumor. It’s a real shame.

I really wish they’d bring it back, because it doesn’t make sense for him to just ditch it.

Kinda hate how understated Carnage’s power is

Now I’m not a powerscaler or anything, heavens no, but I think Carnage’s strength deserves a lot more credit.

In some stories he’s treated like a standard symbiote, or like your run of the mill baddie, but he’s really not. Few heroes should be able to handle him on their own.

He‘s shrugged off blast from Doom, tanked attacks from Sentry, torn his way out of an adamantium sentinel’s eye, overpowered Luke Cage, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Hell, one read of his first ever story will Telly ou all you need to know. He‘s a huge threat.

Long story short, Carnage deserves to be treated like the powerhouse he is.

Part 2; Superman + Iron Man = The Man of Steel!

Tan-El was the successor of the intergalactic weapons dealer Kryptech. He was only a teenager when he discovered the shady practices that had been occurring. How-El, his father, had been selling to the forces of the Apokolerian dictatorship, aiding in the destruction of countless planets.

Appalled, Tan-El prepared the destruction of Kryptech Industries. He publically leaked the company’s information and secrets, before making his escape. He flew away in his own invention, the Super Man Marque 1. It was a suit of armor that allowed the wearer to fly, shoot lasers, lift buildings, and move faster than a speeding bullet.

After what felt like ages, he crash landed into a farm in Kansas, where the boy was adopted by an elderly couple. On Earth, he was given the name Anthony Clark.

Eventually, he moved to the city of New Tropolis, where he founded Clark Industries, and met lifelong friends Olsen Rhodes and Lois Potts. Secretly, however, he would also take on the superhero identity of the Man of Steel, protector of Tomorrow!

Batman + Deadpool = Bloodbat, World’s Greatest Assassin!

Young Wilson Wayne, child of Thomas and Hailey Wayne, was born into extreme wealth, as the future head of the Torontham-based Wayne Industries. However, the boy had a troubled mind, and was easily convinced by the family’s butler into burning down Wayne Manor, with his parents still inside.

Wilson received the blame and was institutionalized in Killbrew Asylum. The asylum, however, was secretly a front for an illegal superhuman enhancement testing site.

Poor Wilson was turned into an unkillable mass of muscle, with the drawback of his skin being covered in tumors.

Horrified by his own visage, Wilson escaped into the shadows. He was later discovered by Dras A’Cul, and recruited to the Legion of Shadows, where he learned to hide in the shadows, and to strike with deadly efficienc, alongside his “beloved“, Dras’ daughter Shiklah.

However, when ordered kill an innocent child, he finally defected from the Legion, returning to Torontham to protect the innocent, and hunt down and annihilate the guilty as the violent vigilante Bloodbat!

P.S., Torotham = Gotham + Toronto, butler = Alfred + The Butler, Killbrew Asylum = Arkham + Weapon X, Dras A’Cul = Ras Al‘Ghul + Dracula, Shiklah A’Cul = Talia Al’Ghul + Shiklah, Legion of Shadows = League of Asassins + Legion of the Unliving.

Unknown

Wade sat alone in a barren safehouse. He fiddled with his gadgets in silence. His neural disruptor net, his teleportation devices, his holographic image projector, among others.

Once more, he wallowed in depression. How could he not, knowing that, one day, he would bury his own daughter. One day, he would be alone in a wasteland that was once called home. He was a god amongst men, living as a man amongst gods.

He couldn’t lift things with his mind or make them explode with his hands. Oh well. He’d just have to improvise.

And so he did. He always had, in fact. From that fateful meeting with Tolliver, and then onward, he learned to rely on his tech. What else could he rely on, after all? His “friends?”

The mere notion was humorous. Nobody trusted him, so why would he trust them? That was how he thought for a while, at least. But as time went on, he learned to accept the fact that, for once, he needed to embrace change.

And so he did. And for all that, he ended up burned. Once again.

But things were different now. He wasn’t just a mercenary. He was more than that now. He was a hero.

…Right?

I hate when people justify the swapping of host as “character growth.”

Fucking how? How does making MJ Venom and Eddie Carnage allow for character growth?

Venom is all about character growth and redemption. Every time we see Eddie he’s growing and evolving. I think people are just so used to more poorly written characters that they feel like completely changing the status quo is the only way to keep things fresh and interesting.

It’s such a bad excuse to justify glazing Marvel or cooking to VenoMJ. Genuinely might be the worst possible mindset.

Purely because I feel like it, I’m gonna start calling everyone younger than me ‘Kid’, ‘Son’, ‘Kiddo’, etc.

Your complaints are duly noted.
