dear future lover,
I'm a words of affirmation person, but try to out-joke me with consistent, sweet energy and see how fast that activates physical touch. Haha.
I hope we meet in this timeline.

Take a bite of my heart tonight
wash away my desire to be kissed.
You are cruel to reveal things.
So without care, wash away
my desire to be kissed.
Started reading this as soon as I woke up today. A tear may or may not have fallen 🥲
Guys, it does get better!
I got over my limerence.
As much as I can, I respond with excitement or show interest because that's just how I am - even when all I get is indifference. I don't do "mirroring".
Masyado akong mabait sabi ng marami. I can take a lot of hits. Ang haba ng pasensya ko pero nauubos rin pala. Pati yung katangahan ko. Fuck, I'm over this shit! I don't deserve this. (I know, I know, ginawa ko to sa sarili ko lol)
Anyway, the air feels fresher, kasi wala na kong pake 😂
Excuse me while I prepare my pancit canton with kimchi, fried seaweed and malasadong egg.
Cheers! 💓
Dear Life,
I appreciate an implicit understanding of rejection. It grants you the quiet fade—a graceful way to accept that feelings aren't always returned.
I'm at peace knowing that for as long as my heart has the capacity, someone out there carries the same enduring warmth.
All the love,
- M
Hi! Just wondering if anybody is interested in exchanging art by sending postcards. I recently joined Postcrossing, pero it would be cool to have someone I can exchange art with from time to time. If you're not familiar with sending postcards, I can teach you! This one's a postcard I made after a trip to Sagada 🙂

After sharing my handmade postcards in this post, a kind postcrosser offered to send a card and some stickers my way. 💌
Look at how thoughtfully she designed the envelope with her homemade stamps! She beautifully drew different German pigeon species and used iridescent paint to highlight their feathers. She also introduced me to her pet spider, Fussel—and as a lowkey fan of spiders (from a safe distance) and Spider-Man, I think that's so cool. I also love the extra Van Gogh sunflower painting she included.
Since I don't own any stickers yet, thank you so much for these, Phoenix! Your kindness traveled miles and made my week. This is my very first postcard in an envelope, and only the fourth one I've received in my lifetime! 😅 It has definitely inspired me to try carving my own stamps too.
Special thanks to my mom for going the extra mile with this flat-lay photo haha Since I'm away from home, she's been my official mail-opener and photographer.
Hope my card reaches Germany safely soon! 📬
I’ve always thought I was nonchalant.
But it turns out I liked flowers. And for a long time, I cultivated them in this small stomach.
I wasn't ready for the butterflies.
Sometimes, a few would visit at the most awkward hours of the day. Sometimes at dawn, before my mind could even catch up. I just kept watering the garden. I let them lay eggs. I stood by and let the caterpillars feast on everything.
All of a sudden, it became a swarm. I was completely overrun. They are in my lungs now - i can't breathe. They're in my brain - even my thoughts have begun to flutter. They are spilling out of my ears and my mouth.
It’s proof I can still feel things after all.
We don’t talk now, maybe that’s for the better.
So I'll regrow this garden. And if a new visitor comes along, maybe I'll prepare a pathway... with this newfound chalantness.
Thank you, I guess,
Retired backburner
Here are my top three hihi
Dropped by Scribe to try their stamps. Learned about this through a friend. Ang cute 🥺
I'm a car speeding down the boulevard without a break
My first three postcards finally reached their destinations after a month in transit! I only just realized that direct messages are received through email, and reading those thank-you notes a few nights ago was the perfect pick-me-up. I've been needing an outlet to lay out my blues in the middle of this tough week.
These sketches—especially the ones from my Sagada trip—were also made during a heavy time, so seeing them create a genuine connection means the world to me. It's especially rewarding to know that the recipients liked my long messages. I just hope they also enjoyed squinting through my tiny handwriting, haha! My friends would tease me for sending the lengthiest texts (like this post), so I'm glad that trait is being put to good use and is actually appreciated 🥹 So lucky to be part of this community.
Making postcards has revived my love for drawing. I started setting a 3:00 AM alarm once or twice a week just to sketch before getting ready for work. I draw until my back hurts and I lose sleep. I draw even more when I'm down or anxious. I'm probably obsessed.
If tracking my sent cards feels this amazing, at this point, getting my first incoming mail is going to break my brain!
Progress is slow but I love the process 🙂
