Wenduag, Act V and Toybox

Hi

Sorry for the title but can't spoil too much heh ? So for some reason I didn't get Wenduag quest in chapter 3 and she has now betrayed me. I didn't do her romance (that far at least), but I choose her in the beginning if that's useful. There's a few flag in toybox for her respect, another for her betrayal in drezen but no matter what I did, she still betray me. Does anyone know anything I could do to prevent that ?

Thanks

Question about stinking cloud and these kind of spell in general

Hi,

So I have trouble finding a definitive answer about that online. Can you stack these kind of spell ? I mean, if I cast let's say five stinking cloud with the same character on the same area, are the enemies gonna roll five times ?

Thanks

How are you guys level 15 in act 3 ?

Hi!

So I'm currently doing my first core run. Before that I've played multiple time in normal and didn't really bother with levels. I've done everything I possibly can right now (except Ulbrig quest and DLC content) in act 3, and going for Ivory Sanctum. So I'm close to the end of the act. I'm level 13, halfway to 14.

Looking only, I see that most people are level 14 at that point, and some say that you should be 15 by the end of the act 3. I don't really remember how much exp there is in ivory sanctum but I will never get that much. So how come ? Why ? Am I missing something ?

Thanks

What do you do when you're surrounded at the start of the battle ?

Hi!

I'm doing my first core run right now. It's mostly okay but there's a specific situation I'm struggling with (and end up usually with dead companion). Let's for example the Regill quest requesting you to go to a hellknight camp. There's a few combat there, then you get inside and there's another one. Thing is, there's enemy everywhere around you.

I can make my tank go to some, my MC (also a melee) with some other, but my backline is directly close to other enemies. Making them moves will create attack of opportunity, using massive crowd control will affect them too, and they'll get attacked since they're close.

In that specific situation, the whole blackline died, but the frontline was able to clear everyone, so it's not THAT bad, but still, how do you manage ?

Thanks guys

A Lost Pigeon in My Garden

Hi everyone!

English isn't my first language, and I'm translating this with ChatGPT. Sorry if it shows. I can speak English, but for this particular subject, I'd like to make sure everything is perfectly clear.

To give you some context about the location: I live in Belgium, and I share a garden with my parents, who are my immediate neighbors. My parents put out seeds and bird food in their garden, so it's quite normal for us to see lots of birds, including pigeons.

However, about a week ago, we noticed a different pigeon. It's much prettier than the usual pigeons, and it stays for hours and hours in the same spot, on the wall separating our garden from the other neighbors' garden. It also started eating the food we put out.

Two days later, it actually came INSIDE my house and came all the way over to me. That's when we realized that it was very comfortable around humans. We can't really get close enough to touch it, but we can stand at least a meter away from it without bothering it.

We also noticed that it has leg bands. One is black and looks like some kind of sensor or electronic tag, while the other is blue and has some writing on it. Unfortunately, I can't read it because it's extremely small, and I can't get close enough to see it properly.

So this pigeon obviously belongs to someone, and we're assuming it got lost while traveling? I'd really like to find its owner rather than simply leave it here, but I'm unable to read the band.

I know that setting up a trap could be an option to catch it, but my parents have a fairly excitable dog, so I don't think a trap could safely be left on the ground.

What can I do to help it? Is there a way to identify the owner without catching the pigeon?

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about my party composition

Hi!

I'm currently doing my first core playthrough. After some hiccups in the beginning I'm now doing good, currently level 5. My party is as follow :

- MC is a pure bloodrager primalist, my biggest damage dealer right now. Going for demon path.

- Seelah, multiple dip, tanking.

- Wenduag child of the manticore, second biggest damage dealer

- Camellia Spirit hunter, mostly debuffing

- Ember stigmatized witch, assisting Camellia, spamming area of effect, will do damage later

- Woljif, mostly there for the thieves things

I just got Daeran and I'm wondering. He seems to be mandatory, for his healing and for his divine spells, but I don't know where to put inside there. Woljif seems like the most logic place ? However I would also like adding Aru later, but I'm not sure. Is that party with Daeran in place of Woljif good, would you change anything else ? I'm looking for effeciency first.

Thanks

If dead companion lost two levels with ressurection...

Does it mean that it should be avoided ? I saw someone say that this was not implemented but I raised my Seelah and while she's still at her level 4, there's a (-2) next to her level. So what does it mean ? How does it even work ?

Thanks

Is it normal to struggle that much in core ?

Hi!

This is about WotR. A bit of context about my experience with the game: I've completed it once on Easy (while making pretty questionable build choices. I put some thought into them, but nothing remotely optimized). Since then I've experimented with different builds and made it to various points in the game, but never beyond normal difficulty. I've beaten much easier games on their highest difficulty settings (BG3 Honor Mode, for example), but I'm definitely not an amazing player in general.

I recently started a core playthrough. My main character is an Ecclesitheurge, and my party is Seelah, Camellia, and Lann. Since I'm not confident enough to make my own builds, they're all based on CRPGbro's videos.

The beginning was fairly easy, then I reached the maze. I have to rest fairly often, I buff before the tougher fights, but overall I've been making steady progress without too much trouble. Then I got to the Water Elemental. It took me a good half hour, and I burned through a ton of scrolls and potions, but I eventually managed to beat it.

So I'm actually pretty proud of that, but now I'm stuck in the room right next to it with the four enemies. I just can't get through that fight, even though it's one of the last rooms left since I've already cleared everything else. At best I can kill two of them, but sooner or later the biggest one (level 5) decides to stop focusing Seelah and switch to someone else, and once that happens it's usually over in two or three hits. My characters barely land any attacks, so I just can't kill them fast enough. Sure this is only one room, but I'm afraid I won't be able to go through the game there if I'm already not able to clear the whole dungeon.

Is this normal for this party on core? Is my team simply not strong enough this early in the game? Or am I missing some important mechanics? I mean, I buff before the fight and I'm doing everything I can think of.

Thanks in advance for any advice. I'll take all the tips I can get. :)

Merci

Is what I'm doing as a build okay (remake) ?

Hi guys,

I'm still at the beginning of the game, at the end of act 1. I started with strenght build and one handed weapon. I then got the fire rune and took a few levels in mana. I was thinking about fire mage but it seems to be pretty weak in mid game and I don't really want to struggle to much. So my question is, is a spellsword build fire/strenght doable and not too weak ? Can I keep taking a bit of both or will I end up weak in both ?

Thanks

Is there any easy way to play it in 2026 ?

Hi,

Long time ago I bought the ultimate edition but never played it. Now I'm trying and I've got a few problems.

The first one is language. Game is only in english and even if I understand it well enough, I prefer to play in my first language. Already found a solution for that, thanks to someone online.

Second problem are the crash.

Third one is playing 4k. I would like to play it like that. I've managed too with some mod but the UI is way too small and I can't really find a solution. There's mod to make it bigger, but it's still not that big and some description stay microscopic anyway. I could play in 1080p but if you got a solution ?

There's guide on steam but they're all putting a shitload of mods, and one of those guide is not even clear. I just want to keep the game the same and avoid crash and bug, not changing everything...

Thanks guys :)

Des avis sur l'IFAPME ?

Salut !

Any good, real world, KINDA grounded series like The ship of theseus

Hi,

I recently bought and finished The Ship of Theseus, which I absolutely loved. Since then, I've been looking for other seinen manga that are somewhat similar (and, above all, high quality, that's important to me).

By "similar," I mean stories set in the real world, which may contain some supernatural or fantastical elements like The Ship of Theseus, but not to an overwhelming extent. For example, Monster fits perfectly into that category, and I'm planning to get it, but I'm looking for other recommendations in the same vein.

I've heard about 20th Century Boys, but in my country the volumes are far too expensive.

Thanks for your recommendations!

Frankly and with as much objectivity as possible, how is it now ?

Hi guys !

So, the game launched a long time ago now and people still here on this reddit are mostly huge fan on the game I suppose, so it's a bit hard to get objective but I wanted a debate, or just your two cent.

I played the game from start to finish when it came out and find it kinda okay. Not great, not a game I would complete again because of a lot of "meh" things, but not something I would give a bad review or anything like that.

Now there's DLC, patch, different event, etc. Do you think the game, right now and with all DLC, is worth it ?

Is the search bar kinda broken today ?

Hi,

So this is only today, never happened before. When I search for anything, it shows a bunch of things somehow related to the same subject of what I'm looking for, but the actual video I'm looking for is always buried far away in the list of video. I searched for example for the CGI ending of Kingdom hearts 2 and got a bunch of other KH videos, some Final Fantasy and finally, what I was looking for.

Did they broke something or is there a problem with my youtube ?

Thanks

edit : I just realized that you now need to click on the "video" tab after searching, instead of staying on all. Then it shows accurate results.

Any "good" rpg with possible poison build ?

Hi guys !

So it's kinda a strange request. I love poison in videogame. Using it I mean, fuck those dark souls swamp. Unfortunately, it's most of the time a tool, a spell, but rarely something that can be the center of your character. I said dark souls and in two for example, you can do something with it but it's really bad and ineffective.

Do you any game (that are at least good, no mediocre one) that could let me do that ?

Thanks !

Gonna really start playing DAO it and I want advices to maximize fun

Hi guys,

First of all, a bit of background about my relationship with this game. I don't know if it's useful, but here we go. I'm old enough to have played it when it came out, but back then I was a bit too dumb to handle an RPG like this. I didn't want to bother with a build, I just wanted to kill stuff, so I gave up on it. Over the years, I've tried several times to get back into it, and I've always ended up quitting. I don't know why, but I don't think it was because of the game itself, rather about me and my mindset everytime I tried. Right now, I really want to play RPGs, and I'd like to seriously give DAO another, this time serious, shot.

I already had the Ultimate Edition on Steam, and I'm currently modding it to prevent crashes and improve the visuals a bit. In the meantime, I'm thinking about my future build, or rather my future class. I'm not looking for performance, I'm looking for fun. Could you tell me which class, in your opinion, gave you the most ? Instinctively, Blood Mage appeals to me, but I'm not sure it's actually that fun.

Thanks!

IFAPME, Stage et Chômage

Salut,

Merci
