Hesitant about Cyberpunk 2077, please help

I've been playing this game for 9 hours, and I don't know if I want to continue. I feel like I should, as this is one of the games that is highly beloved by a lot of people, including my actual real-life friends. More importantly, people are saying this game has an amazing story, and story is the most crucial thing for me when it comes to my gaming preferences

My only problem is that I hate being the hitman and those anarchy-type cities. The weird thing is that my favorite genre in media is dystopia/utopia, but I like it when it's more nuanced, and people are controlled with something like an ideology and not just everyone walking around with a gun. It's not even the fighting itself, I didn't mind fighting for the galaxy in Mass Effect or even being an assasin in Dishonored, but here it just feels like fighting for the sake of fighting. I hate feeling like some mafia/mob person

I might be completely wrong, and if I am, maybe you'll help me see it in a completely different light.

Games like Spyro: Reignited Trilogy (for a kid, PC)

All the best game recommendations I've ever gotten were from this community, so this time I'm asking for your help with finding a game for a kid in my family

He's 10yo with ADHD, and he absolutely loves Spyro Reignited Trilogy (just like I loved the original), with more than 400 hours there. Now he knows the game by heart, remembering all the dialogue, egg locations etc.

I want to find a game that will bring him the same amount of joy

Kao the Kangaroo was also pretty good, but I think he doesn't like that there aren't any other characters, except Kao there, not really. With Spyro, he loves that there were levels played as other characters, and I think he likes the levels better as well

Crash Bandicoot was a bit too difficult for him, as with Crash you sort of need to go through a lot of difficult areas to finish the level and progress further (even I struggle sometimes, being a gamer my whole life)

He also loves Mario Brothers franchise, or whatever it is called with Mario Party, Kart etc. But these are the games he loves to play with us and each of them is much more expensive, so it's a bit different.

He loves when everyone is friends; everything is colourful and cute. I'm asking mostly for PC, cause you can find games a bit cheaper than with Nintendo

Why did I get the achievement?

I've just finished the game for the first time and oh what a ride. I absolutely love it

I guessed the twist after the flashback with "You are not who they say you are". Btw I didn't quite get if real Morgan is alive or not and where she is

But my main question is about "Do no harm". I killed the cook, so I don't get why I have this achievement. Maybe it's cause I killed him with a briefcase?

I was scared of getting inside the escape pod with him, so I just wanted to show him that I don't trust him

I threw a suitcase in his face and got a "Best Surved Cold" achievement. I didn't think anything about it until seeing the "Do not harm achievement". So, is it a bug or a feature?

Please help with finding a silent mouse

As this is my favorite gaming sub, I thought I'd ask your advice

I need to purchase a new gaming mouse as my Razer Pro Click Mini, unfortunately, isn't working well (I tried all software solutions, doesnt help, and it's time to change it anyway)

I'm now choosing between a Logitech G PRO X 2 SUPERSTRIKE and anything similar, but cheaper (I can technically afford it, but I would really prefer to spend less)

I have a very prominent claw grip, my hand are medium, maybe closer to the smaller side, but not much, so as long as the mouse isn't huge, I should be fine

My preferences are

- silent top buttons are a must, I hate those clicking sounds when I work. I'm fine with louder side buttons as I use them only when gaming
- rechargeable (I didn't like changing batteries all the time with Razer)

I would prefer it in white color, but it's not a must

Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there a date of when the game is going to be fully voiced?

I apologise if it's been asked, but a quick reddit and google search didn't reveal an answer

I want my first playthrough to be when the game is fully voiced, so is there a specific date when it might be?

What are the best unpopular story-driven games you've played?

With Steam sale, I'm searching for more story-driven games to play

Of course, many of us know of Life is Strange, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Detroit Become Human, Until Dawn etc

But could you please recommend hidden gems you've found that are story driven?

As for unpopular, I would say it's less than 5-6k steam reviews maybe? The less the better

Here's my input to this topic, all of them are amazing and very story driven

The Thaumaturge

Not for Broadcast

The Berlin Apartment

This Bed We Made

The Pillars of the Earth

Dreamfall The Longest Journey and Dreamfall Chapters

Easy Metroidvania/Platformer?

I wanted to ask for a recommendation for a game. I'm now in the mood to just chill, take my controller and press buttons to jump or slash something occasionally

The problem for me is that with the rise of souls-like games I can't really find a game that would be for this purpose. All the metroidvanias and recent platformers I tried are too difficult (Constance, Hollow Knight, something about 2 penguins). I don't want to spend more than 10 minutes on a boss in a game like this (I don't mind it in RPGs tho)

I know that not being able to go through the level too quickly is one of the laws of the genre, and I know lots of people love it. I would say I've had the most success with Rayman, but I've played it dozens of times at this point, and it was easier just cause I've always played it as a couch co-op

TLDR I want something where you run, jump, listen to good music, enjoy great art and defeat bosses in less than 10-15 min without needing to google their mechanics

What is Smite 2 doing against toxic people now?

Smite 1 had a reward system for being good with cosmetics and skins

Also, when I reported someone in Smite 1 for toxicity, I often got "action is done against the player you reported" (or something like this)

In 90% of cases when I'm reporting someone it's for being toxic to other people, harassment or things like that with other 10% of my reports being for afk cause I don't really care about anything else

This being said, in Smite 2, I don't think I've got notification that the player has been punished more than once or twice, which makes me believe nothing is done against toxic players

Now it looks like bullies don't even care about being reported

Can we bring a reward system for good behavior + more punishment please for harassing people?

Thoughts about a certain blonde couple after rewatching

When I was a teenager watching the show I hated that they didn't end up together, their chemistry is amazing and I still think so

But

Now I love they are not a couple, cause I think it highlights difference between Caroline and Elena as characters

Sorry, but there is no way in the world that most people would ever even talk to Damon after what he did to Jeremy, let alone date him. But Elena loves him, so she thinks it's more important

Caroline is aware of all the things Klaus did and she also feels attraction. She keeps her distance because she knows she can fall in love with him, but she chooses to not be with him, because she thinks about his actions first and her attraction to him second, whereas with Elena it's the opposite

I love Caroline's storyline with Klaus because it's exactly what a sane person would do if they ever felt attracted to a mass murdering vampire. Keep their distance

How do you read multiple books at a time?

I've been reading since I was a teen and I even went to get literature & language degree, so reading for my studies too. But I could never understand how people can read multiple fiction books

I get reading non fiction and fiction at the same time. Or multiple non fiction

But with fiction... Don't your worlds and characters blend together? How do you manage to go all into the world without thinking of another one you're reading?

Maybe there's something wrong with me, I don't know, but I'm the same way with tv shows. I can't really watch several series at the same time (so I end up binging 8 seasons of one for a month)

I'm asking because I could imagine people reading two books at the same time, but I've read comments on the other post and people say numbers I couldn't even imagine

How do you not forget what you've read? Names, places?

And maybe if you were like me before and switches to reading multiple books, how did you do it?

What is a rare thing you found on your first playthrough?

After several hundred hours, most of us still find new items/dialogs/places and so on in this game

I am curious what is a rare or hard-to-find thing you found without any guides during your first playthrough that you now realise could've easily been missed

Some of mine are:
(maybe some of them aren't that easy to miss, but I'll mention them anyway)

- chest with Kagna's note (I love stealing from libraries)
- tossing a coin a lot of times and pissing off Mattis with it
- getting an eye from Ethel
- jumping into the abyss to find the Underdark (I'm really proud of this one, thanks to Astarion's voice line about a wind or something like that)
- killing Yurgir with the power of persuasion
- getting Loviatar's Love blessing (how could i not?)

Best 2nd person POV books you've read

I have just finished reading A Dowry of Blood by T.S. Gibson and I loved it a lot. Even though, it's not a big book, the characters have distinct personalities, gothic atmosphere is well-done and overall it is very well-written

I think one of the reasons I loved it so much is because it's 2nd person. I'm not sure but I think this is the first 2nd person POV book I have ever read and I loved the experience so much I want more

Could you please recommend some 2nd POV books you enjoyed?

It can be any fiction genre, but I do prefer, fantasy, dystopias, mysteries, dark romantasy and books with good plot twists

Will Z-series accesories fit R-series vaccuum?

I want to buy Dreame R20 Ultra, but I really want to have a hose and a soft dusting brush

With soft dusting brush, I don't really care if it rotates or not, I just want to buy these accesories but use Dreame r20

Suction power of 200aw is enough for my apartment, but I prefer omni brush much more, because I won't change them anyway
I tried z30 station version that had everthing I needed, but station had no manual emptying, so I had to return it (most of the time I quickly vacuum a small space, i don't want to listen to auto emptying noise every time)

A book that has the best plot twists but NOT mystery/thriller

I LOVE plot twists in the books I read, and because of that, I have read a lot of thrillers/mystery/detective stories, etc.

However, I want to experience that feeling of "OMG, WTF!" where it's not even the main focus of the book

It can be a fantasy or even a romance (pls no toxic relationships tho), historical fiction, sci-fi, anything really

Some additional favs of mine besides plot twists (but not necessary at all)
- great character arcs, especially for grey characters
- a romance where at least one of the partners is good and kind
- witty and funny dialogues
- good spicy scenes (but not erotica)
- carnival/circus setting
- monastery/cult setting
- medieval/plague setting
- interesting family dynamics
- found family
- magical systems where magic is connected to emotions/flaws

Fantasy where magic is secondary to family/romance/politics

I want to read a fantasy book that reads a bit more like historical fiction. I want the story to feel a little whimsical, but with lots of plot twists and character development

I don't want it to be about a royal family or a princess. And I don't want it to focus to much on a magical system/dragons/witches etc. I welcome magical beings, but I don't want the main conflict of the story to be magical

It could be something about a jester, a royal librarian, a stable person or maybe the Queen's right hand? It can be a bit smutty too, but I want the story to have something meaningful besides romance

Thank you for any recommendations!

edit: any lgbtq romances are more than welcome

Dreame z30 station. How to turn off automatic auto-emptying?

I've just purchased dreame z30 station and I can't figure out how to turn off automatic self emptying

I sometimes need my vacuum for a couple of seconds in another room, when everyone's asleep, so I need to be able to do self emptying when pressing the button opposed to when putting the vacuum to the station

Hello! I really like everything about h60 ultra model, especially the stand, it looks great and very convenient for storing accesories, my main concern is how it handles long hair

We have two people with long hair in our household, so it is a major concern. I know it has JawScrapers™" Hybrid Brush but how effective is it?

I was also thinking about buying Dreame Z30 or v30, but Roborock's station just looks too good and in other areas, they are quite similar

Do you have any advice?

reddit.com
u/Aromatic-Solid97 — 4 months ago

I'm choosing btw these two models, but I'm open to others

The main factor for me is dealing with long hair, both of these models have their own anti-tangle technologies, but with vacuums you never know until you test it

Visually I like Roborock a little more as it has a very nice station with accessories neatly hidden inside it, but there aren't many reviews or videos on youtube about this particular model

With Dreame, it looks promising, especially with 310 suction power, but it feels like it's the only advantage over Roborock, though I might be wrong. I do have a very nice Mova E40 ultra robot vacuum and it's basically the same company

Do you have any advice?
Besides long human hair, we dont really have anything special, we don't need mopping, our carpets are very small and thin, so if you can give any additional information pls let us know

Basic info:
budget: 300-400 euros
country: Slovakia
floors: **hard floors + two small thin carpets (**no need for mopping)
main problems: long human hair, a lot (several ppl in the household)
needs: accessories for cleaning furniture + little tube brush thingy (not sure how it's called)
