In my opinion, the fist of the northern star has one of the worst adaptations among the popular shonen.
The 1984 anime from Toei animation is very poorly preserved, as they changed the plot, added a huge number of unnecessary fillers and stretched the events as much as possible. Using the same attack animation of 109 episodes is brazen.
The 1986 film is shit. Trying to fit 136 manga chapters into 2 hours is a terrible idea.
ova movies OVA movies of the 2000s have the same problem as the 1986 film OVA films of the 2000s have the same problem as the 1986 film. Too many important points were cut out.
An American film... 0/10 it would be better if it never existed.
The 2026 remake is made entirely in 3D, which scares the new viewer very much.
