Just… testing something…

EDIT: This post is about IN GAME RELATIONSHIPS. This isn’t about adult men calling 15 year old girls “Waifus”, I think we can all agree that is weird 💀

Ok SECOND EDIT: This post is mostly about the age discourse and the misinformation I saw around that - the discourse around the sibling thing ISNT ABOUT wether dating your stepsister is moral or not (ITS NOT! 🎉), it’s about wether or not you view Futaba as your stepsister in the first place. I personally don’t, and some people do. And that’s fine, because everyone is different and is allowed to have different opinions. But I want to say that there is a lot of in game evidence that this sibling idea is predicated mostly by fandom headcanon. 👍

The biggest piece of misinformation I’ve seen in this entire fandom is that Futaba is somehow really young, even though she’s the same age as Kasumi . Google will literally tell you that she is 15. I could go on a whole rant on to my theory about how this idea started to spread, but I’ll spare you. Needless to say, a 1 year age gap is not unusual in dating in general.

And to the “they are basically siblings” argument let me also remind you that
- You meet her 4 MONTHS into staying with Sojiro, who had no intention of you meeting Futaba. Ever.
- Joker has parents? And friends back home? This is glossed over in the game but still relevant, he isn’t an orphan.
- They don’t live in the same house or go to the same school

I’d also like to say I have played Persona 5 (Royal) RECENTLY, not in the last year, within the last two months. Persona 5 definitely suffers from chronic “Misrememberment Syndrome” where people who haven’t played the game in 5+ years make wild assumptions on their poor memory of the game that has been supplemented by just strait up misinformation people have spouted on the internet in the meantime. I’ve seen everything from casual players to big YouTubers spout this nonsense and nobody listens or talks about it 😭

You can dislike Futaba and her romance route, just don’t dislike it for fake reasons. If you want to pick apart a problematic romance in the game there are three adult women right there

METAL WOLF : my boyfriend’s AC!

Old illustration of my bf’s AC! I had such a fun time watching him play the game and all of the variations he made of this base design.

One thing I love about AC is how many opportunities it provides the players to use their imagination and create their own storytelling. You start to wonder, what do the AC pilots look like? How would my AC change over the course of the story? How would I rename it? It’s super immersive and AC6 made me fall in love with the games :) 💜💜💜

One Year Ago - Local Kimono Dressing and Tea Room

Hello! First time posting here :)

Last spring I took a college course on art forms around the world, I’d always wanted to try a tea ceremony, so I did some research the moment I was home for the summer.

I happened to find a local diaspora who offered kimono dressing and a tea ceremony out of her house for very cheap, she says she wants to make Japanese culture accessible to those interested. She even changes her tea room between summer in winter and educates on different kinds of kimono.

She didn’t just dress me, she taught me how to dress myself in kimono (which is why mine doesn’t look perfect), my shoulders and arms were definitely hurting when I was finished!

I’m going back in September with my boyfriend and I’m super looking forward to it!

Happy to answer any questions about the experience :D!

Me and my mom’s eye color!

The first two are mine, the second two are my mom’s. I’ve heard grey, hazel, brown, green, blue(ish?) for my eyes. I think they are pretty cool but I find my mom’s more interesting. Her eyes are very green with a spot of deep reddish brown in the middle, which I think is central heterochromia. I definitely inherited her eyes, but I think mine are a little more subtle compared to hers. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the bad pictures of my mom’s eye, the lighting was bad :(

Funny anecdote about Ghost Lantern

Here’s a funny story about Ghostly Lantern! So I go to an art college and MTG artist Kari Christensen (who did Bident of Thassa, Chandra Gremlen Wrangler, and Chaos Wand) actually works there as a professor.

I went up to him, nerd that I am, and wanted to talk to him all about how he came to do illustrations for Magic. I mentioned that in the last game I played one of his cards had made an appearance, Ghost Lantern. I had even looked up his artist tag on the MTG database and it was listed there.

Well he laughed and said “Actually, I didn’t do that card. It’s been misattributed to me, they are working on fixing it.”

Sure enough, if you look up Ghost Lantern online, Kari Christensen is no longer labeled as the artist, but there is still this printing with his name on it LOL

Kemopla Wolf - Medium Kemono parts and Photoshoot!

Back with the Mid-Kemo version of this build! I managed to grab some BJD clothes I already had but I did order a dress for her :)

Regarding the Mid-Kemo parts… they are SO much more fragile/loose than the high kemo parts. The cream sections on the forearms loved to pop off (which can thankfully be fixed with some plastic cement). Also, the swivels at the thighs are very loose, especially on her right leg, it was falling off constantly and made it a pain to pose! Unfortunately, she probably won’t be displayed like this a whole lot :(

Anyways please enjoy my photoshoot!!

Kemopla Wolf- Complete!

So fun!!! Still have to build her low-kemo parts but my hands hurt from all this building TnT. I really tried to slow down and carefully remove the nibs, reduce flashing, and sand it down to a smooth finish. I’m a really impatient person but I’m proud of the final result, especially on the legs!

I intend to do a matte coat on her, though I’m wondering is there is a way to go in and add definition to her body before I do it.. any suggestions? (Pastels etc)

Hello all! I am creating a character for a dnd campaign and I’d like to ensure historical accuracy in my depiction of her. I’ve tried my best to do some research myself, but I’m having a hard time digesting the information or finding clear answers. My character is the daughter of an Egyptian Nomarch, she’s a bit spoiled and she has a unique ability that the people around her interpret as spiritual.

Here are my questions:

  1. When was the peak time of Nomarch power in Egypt? From what I can tell it’s at the very end of the Old Kingdom around 2100-2000s BCE. Is this accurate?
  2. Obviously, people at the time didn’t use “2000 something BCE” to describe their year. What Egyptian year would my character use to describe the era that she is from?
  3. What was the prevalence of women in religious practices?
  4. What were the prevalence of women in general in the society at the time? What would be expected of my character as a woman?
  5. Also, what would be expected of my character as the daughter of a Nomarch?
  6. How would other’s perception of her spiritual abilities change the way in which people would regard her, would the expeditions she would be under be different?

Any bonus information that could help contextualize my character would also be amazing.
As some bonuses: Are there any good websites or blogs I can visit to look at contemporaneous clothing that she would have worn from the time period? Also if you have any name suggestions I am all ears :)

Thank you!
