PlayStation is not backing down from getting rid of physical games and has added an "Important Notice" to the PS5's disc drive

Has there been any credible leak about the PS6 CPU and GPU performance?

Has there been any credible leak about what the PS6 CPU and GPU will be comparable to on the PC side? I'm curious what desktop CPU and GPU people expect it to match.

I think Sony's logic is that people who are price sensitive and dependent on cheap physical discs cannot afford a PlayStation 6 in the first place

I'm 100% sure Sony won't take the decision back

They already knew this would have huge backslash. 15% users still are 15 Million users.

Even if you vote with your wallets. Sony was already prepared for this. They will get losses/lose customers in starting but in a long term it'll be huge profit for Sony.

We knew this day would come, physical had to die someday. We just have to accept it and move on

Personally I'm excited for PS6 and gonna get it day 1

If you're switching to PC because PlayStation is going digital only, so means were you buying PlayStation only for the discs? And not for the convenience and the ease of use that made consoles popular in the first place?

Is there any solution for this? I can't remove this, and it always pops up when I start my XAX

Do people here use the "Ultra Performance" DLSS 4.5 with PRESET L?

I have been using the Ultra Performance DLSS 4.5 with preset L recently, and my experience has been very good. The images are still very sharp.

I play on a 27-inch 4K OLED monitor. Maybe that is why my image looks so sharp, even with a 720p render resolution upscaled to 4K.

If we read the Sony article properly, it is written that "code in the box" will still be available with retailers. This means retailers can have their own sales, and we are not only limited to the PlayStation Store

People here making arguments to switch to PC doesn't make sense, as the only argument they had was that the PC has multiple storefronts.

If a game is also available at a retailer, they can have the same sales as they have on the physical discs. The only difference is that instead of a disc, it will have a code. We still have multiple retailers who sell the same game at their own sale price

Assuming this, we can easily get 120fps using DLSS performance + frame generation on RTX 5080
