Finally tried Bunpo after hearing people raving about how much better it is on this subreddit than Duolingo, and I have to say, I’m less than impressed.

It’s nice that they explain grammar, but that’s really the only thing going for it. The system is extremely particular about how you word the sentences. Not to mention they’re also using AI? Which is why people got so upset about Duolingo in the first place. It doesn’t really seem like that much better of an app.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Edit: I am talking about Bunpo not BunPRO. I got the two apps confused. I am going to give BunPRO a shot. Thank you to the commenters who pointed that out!!!

A bit of backstory: my cousin (23M) and I (24F) have always been closer than our other cousins. He has two older brothers who used to pick on him as a kid and a dad who encouraged unhealthy masculine traits in his sons, stuff like women not being the same as men, etc, by way of jokes and humor. His mom later divorced the dad (good riddance) and my cousin was left with his mom since the other two boys had moved out at that point.

Recently my cousin and I have been communicating often outside of family gatherings. I love my cousin, of course I do, but he’s someone I need in small doses. He’s always been irrational and extremely immature, even now as an adult. Recently we had a misunderstanding over text and he got so upset over something minor that he refused to speak to me for three days, and I completely didn’t notice until Saturday, when we were supposed to go to a bar together. I had been looking forward to it all week and I felt like the rug had been pulled out from under me.

Here’s one of the things he said that really concerns me:
“I really thought that when I became an adult that I would stop getting laughed at by woman” (sic).

I reached out to one of his brothers who told me has a tendency to fly off the handle at the smallest infractions. The brother told me he had blocked him three times this month alone, and once it was over something as small as not liking the new Netflix avatar live-action. If he says anything negative, he’s blocked, if he says something positive, my cousin considers it condescension.

Meanwhile my cousin has been texting me daily, but I don’t want to talk to him so soon after that argument. But give his reaction to me “laughing” at him (i reacted with the ha ha reaction then changed it to a heart because I realized I had misinterpreted his text), I worry that if I stop talking to him or avoid him he’ll do something drastic.

What do I do?

I can't fill in these squares. I know I could just use the fill for the shape, but I'm having the same issue with other projects as well. The program refuses to let me fill in. I also can't draw on a PNG, even though I used image trace

Looking for some good books to read. The three listed above are all same sex couples but they don’t have to be! I’m a bit picky in that the writing has to be good and so is the plot. There can be sex scenes, but I’m okay if there’s not any.
