First protect. I am IN LOVE with this craft 😍

So I have been crocheting around 10 months, absolutely obsessed. I have never really managed to get into knitting despite many attempts…I randomly decided to try Tunisian crochet last night on one of my aluminium crochet hooks and completed 3x16 stitches. Had a free day planned today, ordered some cheap as heck hooks from Amazon which arrived this afternoon. It’s now 8pm and I cannot put this down. I’m making a cushion cover. The fabric is somehow much thicker than crochet but SO MUCH softer. I love it!

I use no-bleach red hair dye, my pup is ALWAYS under my feet. This is the result.

Honestly, I think it’s a ringing endorsement for a no-bleach hair dye that it can do this to black hair…but I also worry about how long it’ll take until this comes out lol

Does anyone know the name of the guy at the gate of the tip?

He has welcomed me by name every single time I’ve been there in the last year. Yes, I know he has my name right there on paper, but he makes a point of saying hello. I think he’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, I just want to know his name. If anyone knows who he is (brummie lad, big eyes), please let me know

I still find it hard to believe that this is me!

The first photo was taken in January 2025. I weighed 83 kg (183 lbs), and at my height of 157 cm (5'2"), that definitely put me in the obese category. All of my clothes felt tight, and even walking up the stairs was exhausting.

I started taking Mounjaro and eventually reached a dose of 3.75 mg. By the summer of 2025, I was down to 56 kg (123 lbs). I hadn't quite reached my goal weight, but I was close...and then I lost my way.

A lot happened. I changed jobs, struggled financially, and my family received some devastating news. I stopped taking the medication, and my eating habits were anything but healthy.

Then, in January 2026, just after turning 47, I finally decided to get back on track. By then I weighed 73 kg (161 lbs), so at least I hadn't regained everything. I cleaned up my diet and started taking Mounjaro again.

And now I'm the person in the photo on the right. (I used AI to change the background because I've also shared these photos in Swedish groups and didn't want people to recognise my home.)

I'm now in maintenance at around 51 kg (112 lbs) and have maintained that for the past two months. I've reduced my dose from 3.75 mg to 3 mg, and I'm continuing to lower it gradually to find the right longterm maintenance dose.

I have no problem feeling hungry, it's perfectly normal and healthy to experience hunger. What I do want to keep under control, though, is the food noise.

But yes, this is me.

This person sells the finished products on Etsy and I think they’re beautiful, I just wondered if it was a known pattern as they don’t credit anyone else for it?

Either way, they’re super talented (DolceAmoreCrochet on Etsy), I just wanted to know if it was a recognisable pattern to anyone?

Edit: WOW people here really don’t like people asking for patterns! This sub is literally here to ask for patterns. I know what doilies are, I have made plenty of them. I am here just to ask if anyone knew the specific pattern this person was using. Yes I could go work it out for myself, but god, I’d rather not see a pic of something nice on Etsy and straight-up plagiarise it if there is a designer I can support. Plus, crochet is a mindless pastime for me, I like the fact I can do it without thinking, I don’t wanna have to do all that. Jeez

When the delivery instructions say to leave behind the wheelie bins…

I guess I can’t complain, it *is* behind the wheelie bins!

I built a British style family home...unfortunately next to a cliff so the screenshots are weird.

Another day another build. This game has my WHOLE heart! <3

Decided to try building something COMPLETELY different to the quaint cottage yesterday....last pic has them next to eachother just to show the contrast lol...it's only 1 bedroom but I wanted to try building in multi levels and mezzanines...was fun, and SO much easier than TS4 even at this stage!

I can't wait for gates and platforms!

Well, I spent much too long building this only to realise I had made the front door inaccessible. Thankfully the side and back door are just fine.
