Anbernic rg557 dimensity CPU Mali GPU

Civilization 5 will not boot at all even when switcing dxvk , fex, d3d8 and command line arguments.

Civilization will boot in winlator Mali plus bionic but Its stuck to a window (no fullsceen) and im unable to change resolution.

I have been trying for weeks.

Switched too trying to get starbound to boot but have corrupt graphics on boot regardless of what dxvk I use or d3d8 and again command line or debug arguments suggested by Google.

Any suggestions are appreciated and thank you also thank you to the Devs it must be a headache and hardwork so no complaints 🙏🙂

Grab yourself NFSU2 repack complete the setup and then install the us 1.2patch and then copy the hoodlum no cd patch from game copy world.

Quick disclaimer keyboard controls and joypad work the mouse does not and the thirteen-ag wide-screen fix causes the game to not boot so I'm running in 1280*1024 5:4 ratio HD with Extra Options Mod to unlock content cars and parts plus more tracks and racing modes plus it has bug fixes.

Open Winlator -> Start Menu -> System Tools. Install Wine Mono, Visual C++ Runtimes, and the "extra_libs" plugin package.==================================================

2. WINLATOR CONTAINER CONFIGURATIONS

Edit your container settings and match these options exactly to fix performance bottlenecks and texture corruption:Graphics Driver: wrapper-v2(Note: wrapper-leegao gives higher FPS but breaks alpha-channels/font layers)DXVK Version: 1.7.3 AsyncBox64 / FEX Presets: Change from Intermediate down to Performance or Fast(Removes heavy emulated CPU overhead)Zink Descriptors: notemplates(Forces a safe fallback loop for legacy 2D interface text)Memory Resource Type: dmabuf (or opaque)(Avoid "ahb" as it causes textures to bleed and skew colors)BCn Emulation: Auto (or Full)BCn Emulation Type: ComputeASTC Transcode: Disabled(CRUCIAL: Turning this on breaks the menu into grids and makes cars invisible)ETC2 Transcode: Enabled(Forces the internal leegao_bcn engine to safely decode textures)==================================================

3. EXTRA OPTIONS MOD SETUP & CONFIGThe NFSU2 Extra Options mod works beautifully to fix old game engine quirks, skip corrupted video intros, and add features, but its standard scripts must be tweaked to prevent Wine crashes.Download the "NFSU2 Extra Options" mod archive.Extract the files and look for the "scripts" folder.Copy the "scripts" folder and the "dinput8.dll" file. Change the Windows Version dropdown at the bottom to "Windows XP".(Stops Wine from trying to upscale display layers, which causes boot crashes)==================================================

5. RESOLUTION & ENGINE REGISTRY FIXCommunity widescreen patch scripts (like ThirteenAG) crash this specific setup on boot. To force a higher resolution safely without scripts, keep widescreen patches uninstalled and use this built-in Registry edit:On the Winlator desktop, go to Start Menu -> Run.Type "regedit" and press Enter.Navigate down the left folder tree to this exact path:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Need for Speed Underground 2Right-click an empty space on the right side window -> select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.Name the key exactly: g_RacingResolutionDouble-click your new key, check the "Decimal" bubble option, and enter one of these numbers:Enter "2" for 1024x768 (Highly Recommended for RG556)Enter "4" for 1280x1024(Do not use 3, as it will crash the display engine)Optional: Create additional DWORD (32-bit) keys in this same folder to disable broken early-2000s lighting effects that cause screen flashing:Create key "g_MotionBlurEnable" and set it to 0Create key "g_LightStreaksEnable" and set it to 0Create key "g_LightGlowEnable" and set it to 0==================================================

6. IN-GAME VIDEO SETTINGS Once in the game, open Options -> Display Settings.Ensure "Anisotropic Filtering" is turned completely OFF. Leaving it turned on triggers an immediate crash. Keep standard texture filtering on normal/linear

Through google searches and trial and error I have manged to get steam installed and some older PC games discworld , farscape , need for speed underground 2 with a bit of lag and SimCity 3000 which seems to run at full speed running in winlator.

I switched over too Ludashi as I think I understand correctly it has better support for Mali GPU's (Mali g615 mc6) I have tried various configurations but have had no success trying to get Civilization 5 to work I will also try Civ 4 , steam app fails to launch entirely.

It or I can not successfully start a new game I only have the main menu , loading screen , and GPU configuration screen working , where as before it was in a window with no GPU config options available or resolution recognized when using the in-game graphics configuration.

Is it possible to get Civ to work ?

Is there a way of increasing speed (reducing lag and loading times for command and conquer red alert 2 and Tiberian Sun that use direct draw as they take forever to load in winlator , I haven't tried Ludashi with CnC yet.

I have taken pics of my current config in Ludashi any help would be really appreciated I'm finding configuration very stressful please take into account my learning difficulties I'm still learning despite using ex gear strategies with wine in the past I learn by doing and repeating thank you

I have enabled and disabled hacks plus enhancements and changed settings to accurate for texture decoding , I'm using process of elimination and what I know from pcsx2 and desktop/gaming computers I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the exact function of each graphic option for the gamecube/dolphin only ruffly what it does and how it behaves.

Ebay find people commented don't bother , bin it , burn it, not worth it , 😆 well the rat rod is 90% there.

Swapped out the mobo and all other components they are cleaned tested and sold but I binned the PSU.

​

This setup the CPU socket has some damage but I have a bracket that works well enough on the remaining plastic tabs, 3 and 2 tabs.

​

Completely disassembled everything including the temp/fan controller new button cell battery fitted everything cleaned and a bit of bending the metal frame and side panel catches were all out of shape and the PCI/AGP Bay.

Amd Athlon, Ati Graphics , a chunk of ram 256 I think and an 80gb disk with patches win 98 , specs also in pics.

I will do a proper post with accurate specs soon.

WIP as the front fan catches the case unless at a very precise angle and the front panel cables need a bit more freedom/flexibility.
