We're planning a Valentines trip to lake Louise and a bit more, but not sure what else? What's a logical second destination? Toronto? Montreal? We're open to any suggestions or corrections you might suggest.

For reference: Husband has never skied before or ice skated. I'm a beginner at both. He's up for it though. We're two guys, married, this is our 9th trip to Canada.

We've been to:

• Vancouver/Victoria Isl.
• Calgary 3 times (Rodeo) (+1/2 day in Banff town)
• Quebec City (Christmas) / Montreal (just a day and a half in Montreal)
• St John (1/2 day stop on Queen Mary 2)
• Halifax (1/2 day stop on Queen Mary 2)
• Churchill, Manitoba (polar bears)

Here's a guesstimate itinerary.

• 2/10 Wed
• 2/11 Thr Beginner Ice Skating Lesson, +?
• 2/12 Fri Fly to Calgary, travel to Lake Louise
• 2/13 Sat Spend day at Fairmont, Lake Louise / Sleigh ride, dog sledding, walking around the lake area
• 2/14 Sun Beginner Ski lessons at Lake Louise
• 2/15 Mon Travel to Calgary, fly home

I’ve been training at Iron Culture in West Orange for about two and a half months, (moved from another gym) and am looking for a reliable workout buddy for company, to trade spots, and push through sets.

* **Focus:** Size, upper-body dumbbell work, and structured machine lifting, soon squats, RDLS, etc.

* **Schedule:** Flexible (living 10 minutes away), but aiming for consistent weekly morning/afternoon slots

* **Vibe:** Middle-aged, married gay guy, laid-back, and consistent

It doesn't matter if we lift the exact same weights—just looking for someone who shows up regularly and wants to put in solid work. Drop a comment or DM if your schedule aligns.

A lot of my shopping comes from Ebay. A lot. If I need anything, that's kind of my go-to, and I buy slightly used or underpriced new. I can afford store bought new, but why? I recently bought an essentially new pair of Levi's 501's for $35, a new jockstrap for $25, and a nice new Nike gym bag for $30. I also bought some nearly new workout shirts and shorts. Those weren't amazing deals, but I'd rather put money in another person's pocket than a big corporation. And, so many clothes go to the dump or developing countries and end up overwhelming them. I feel like Ebay is recycling in a way, and keeping sone stuff out of land full, it doesn't add to demand where a corporation will use new resources to create new stuff to sell, etc.

I get it, I'm not saving the world, but I think Ebay and similar sites are helpful. And honestly, a strong motivator for my husband and I (we're two guys) to save money isn't for us, it's to leave money in our will to our nieces and nephews, ages 7-24yo. Life is much more difficult (or maybe precarious) now, as far as getting a stable foundation financially, than it was for us.

Ok, so its a nuanced take, but I thought it was with a mention. We've stopped spending money on things. We don't collect anything, we're done decorating our house, we don't drive a fancy car or wear fancy clothes.

I want to ask folks to mention if they're gay or straight because I believe there may be a difference there in the answers between the two communities however; I feel like folks may not always be comfortable sharing that. Please share if you want.
