Articulated Scott Pilgrims Reserves Out!!

Who got one? Love the Patel idea. Hopefully they do the others too for the normal line.

Looking forward to seeing the other 2.

They mentioned interchangeable, companion characters and articulated for $45.

Plus 2 more figures - imagine Ramona and an Ex.

Devil's Advocate: I think the new NYRR system is a good idea?

Trust me, they will never please everyone. It's just impossible.

There will always be a supply and demand issue and coming from someone who hates lotteries (I'm rarely ever selected), I don't think this is a terrible idea.

  1. The $99 - yea i get why people are very mad at this but you have to realize that if it was free or something much lower, there would way more ppl trying for this making it even harder. They need some sort of barrier and this was the price point I guess they felt would be it. Also, it's nice to know you still have access to race other races (not going for 9+1). I just assumed originally you're out of luck.

2)I mentioned it in another comment that I'm most likely part of the problem. I do practically every NYRR race. In 7 years, I'm at close to 115 races. It's just something I love doing. I love the community aspect of it and just all of it. Now with the 6 a year guidance (for 9+1 credit) I wouldn't have to stress the drops and maybe do less races so more ppl have a chance.

3)With that said, it does seem like it will free up the pool more for people to do more non 9+1 races.

  1. I see a lot of comments about how it should be more focused for NY but I feel like it's said many times that its a very small % of ppl who are members from outside of NY.

  2. Pushes virtual races to help out which we can do anywhere like always.

  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but you could technically sign up to member plus all year long and try for races. This September deadline means that won't happen. If you decide mid year you want to start trying, you're out of luck and have to wait.

There are things that I'm personally not aware of how it works like Streakers and exceptions for things all that so that does sound like it sucks. Just for random ppl like me, obv i have to be picked, but it doesn't sound horrible?

Anyone catch this 2 layer printby the artist Doaly? Thought it was unique.

He uses like an acetate paper that creates two layers. They are officially licensed which is nice they went through the right channels. There is also a Two-Face.

Cascade Plex 600 Issue - Buzzing noise after install

hey! thought maybe someone can help me out. There is this nonstop buzzing for the last 3 hours. I checked the site and it mentioned about possible air inside or an impeller issue but it doesn't really show how to fix the impeller.

Anyone have this issue?

"Donating" Race Shirts

Does anyone ever know where the shirts go after we throw them in bins? Was curious.

Reason I ask is because epsecially recently, there seems to always be a discussion about "donating" race shirts instead of throwing them out. For instance, the recent NYRR Bklyn Half shirt i noticed people getting upset with the OP because they mentioned throwing it out instead of donating.

Who do ppl think are actually getting these shirts? I know the idea is amazing to think of but I can't imagine any family seeing that NYRR Half shirt and being like yea that would look good on my kid.
