Knee pain - meniscus or tendinitis?

Several years ago I had a slight tear of my meniscus. MRI showed it was the area with greater blood flow and rest and PT was advised. Year after that I had similar pain but MRI was inconclusive and rest/PT again prescribed. Last year was told it was tendinitis when had a similar but less painful incident.

Yesterday I started to feel some pain but it was just dull while walking. No obvious cause. Iced it when I got home. By last night it was very painful and tender pressing the spot on the left medial side circled in the photo. Quite stiff when I woke up but pain is much more tolerable and walking in the house has reduced stiffness.

Any thoughts on meniscus issue, tendinitis, or something else?

Frequent running - normal operation?

My older Nest thermostat didn’t run like this with the constant on/off, especially overnight hours. I saw in other posts about the temp differential and have set the cool to 1 degree, but no noticeable change.

Plano Tax Election for Arena

Not online that I can see, but Fox4 shared the Plano Council voted to put a special tax on the November ballot to support the city’s contribution to the costs. Tax would apply to rental cars, tickets, and parking.

So if it passes, Stars fans will help pay the Stars contribution through higher ticket prices and help Plano’s contribution through taxes on the tickets and parking.

Yay us!

Edit: CBS11 story here

Contact Switch keeps arcing

Replaced old Nest thermostat with an Ecobee using the PEK kit. No issues at first. Now I’ve gone through two condenser contacts. HVAC tech assumed the switch was bad the first time. Came out second time and capacitor was good and replaced the contact again. No issues for a few hours but it arced again.

Thermostat shows 27.8 volts. No loose wires on control board, PEK kit, or thermostat.

Goodman condenser.

My unit has a resistor between the C & W terminals. At the wall there is not C, only R, G, Y, and W. Do I leave the resistor in place?

Non-Spousal Beneficiary to 401k Paid out in lump sum - options

Upon death, company paid out in a lump sum minus 20% withholding. Company does not offer other options.

Getting conflicting and confusing information on ability place the payout into a IRA of some form within 60 day requirement. Can this be rolled over to avoid this as income this year?

Week of July 5 / Forecast Impacts

I know it’s a bit early, but forecast shows temps getting close to 93F/34C. Not as bad as it has been, but still hot.

We have tickets for the Louvre Wednesday morning, Eiffel Tower Thursday at 14:00, and Saint Chapelle Friday at 11:30.

Seeing the closers recently due to heat, will next week’s temperature be high enough that any of these will close and we need to have backup plans?

Recently Replastered Pool and Stains

Pool was replastered a couple of months ago. No issues until a few days ago when these stains started to show. Similar to what I would see if a nut fell, but there are no leaves or nuts falling right now. Most are in shallow end but there are some in the deeper end. Water chemistry looks good. Any ideas on cause?

Went through rain and behind center console is wet. We can feel it wet where the carpet ends in foot wells. Any ideas where the water could be coming from?

Door Dash Shipping?

My package is being handled by Door Dash Delivery. I have never seen that before and it’s been stuck for several days. Any experience with this shipper? Is this one of those companies that never updates status until the package is delivered?

Ducasse Sur Seine Reservation Question

We are looking to take the Ducasse Sur Seine dinner cruise for our daughter’s birthday. I see the boat leaves at 18:30 but when you make a reservation it lists 19:00, 19:30, and 18:00. Is this so you can eat on the boat before departure and then enjoy more of the sites once the boat departs?

A friend originally from NM really helped our family out recently. I happen to be in ABQ this week and SF for a day for work and would like to bring something back in appreciation. Any suggestions? Budget is $100.

Rental car and I’m far away from rental location and they were no help when I called.

Fuel gauge shows half a tank left but miles left shows 84. When I first noticed the issue I thought it was because the miles left was based on past driving, so I reset the trip miles but no change. I’ve driven 280 miles so far starting with a full tank.

I’m in a remote area and wanted to get some input on if the fuel gauge would be correct. Filling up based on the miles left would be a bit challenging and out of my way.

Edit: Average MPG is 39.5.

Replacement kit used thinking it was a bad roller. Sound continues. Constant noise that slows down when the dryer is turned off (as shown in video). Any suggestions on what to look at next?
