95 VT1100 Honda Shadow. Spent a long time ironing out all the issues with this bike. First ride of summer she quit 2 hours from home in Otaru. Made in America and some parts not available in Japan (!) ordered, waited then Swapped the stator and rectifier. First Did some shorter rides, then 300km loop up the coast a few weeks ago. Today got the approval from my wife and took it 600km around Disetzusan to see the foliage. Got a bit chilly on the way home but feel like i finally did a ride worth sharing. Hope you guys had a good ride this weekend too.

After alot of work, I finally got this front bar on. Got it for free and spent the effort to repair a couple cracks and painted it at home.

Can't say that I really like it tbh . Fitment is pretty poor, I rated my paint skills at 6-7/10, I'm gonna say 5-6 now seeing it fitted.

Anyway it's probably gonna stay on the car now. Still need to wire the fog lights and reinstall the arch guards and under tray.

This tiny little flower only appears for a few hours of a day before it wilts. They do continue to blossom apparently, but I noticed it just growing in the corner of the garden this morning .

Got this used Gialla wing for the BL5 in January. Sanded it down, primed, painted, cleared with rattle cans and 2k cans in my shed in opportune moments over the last few months. Found some genuine Subaru World rally team decals for an Impreza and put them on the wing end covers. Pretty stoked on how it turned out. And yes the Gialla front bumper got done too. Just haven't got that mounted yet.

Finally sprayed some clear on these genuine option Subaru headlight garnishes then put them on a couple weeks ago. I know most people won't like them and they are plastic stick on parts but they make my car look different and I like it for now. The car is a Blitzen replica I guess, appearance wise: previous owner fitted the front and rear bumpers and skirts . I put the light covers front , rear and waist spoiler, black Leather interior. Currently running the factory 18 wheels again - mileage is definitely worse than when I was using the prodrive forged 18s.

The picture is from my last day out in May when she died due to loss of voltage during a ride around a coastal peninsula here in Japan .

After 3 parts order cancellations, eventually ordering a stator from caltric in US, and a side cover gasket from eBay in the US, slow shipping, I got the parts fitted only to discover with the voltmeter that it still wasn't charging properly. AI pinpointed the rectifier when I described my woes.

Bit the bullet and ordered a Shindengen Yamaha upgraded rectifier which I just wired up today and finally I'm seeing 14+ volts at idle.

Here's hoping the rain stops and I can rack up some miles this summer!

I didn't plan on it initially but things just been spiralling a bit 😅 In winter there's no time to do anything but surf the auctions now it's summer there's a big birthday for her coming soon. Alot of Cusco stuff which is plentiful on the used auctions. Just need to find the time after a new addition to the family. Coilover lowers already cleaned up, wing and bumper in process waiting paint, other parts probably get a coat of metallic blue 2k caliper paint. Kinda waiting to have the bumper painted to pull the whole front off and do the timing belt water pump at the same time.

The bad girl in the background is my RSRA project car, sitting on ice for now cause my wife says it's not a priority 😆, Blue 555 is my daily.

Corded, Hitachi wh22. This thing is old and I got it for about $23 here in Japan. Never owned a proper impact before and I can't believe how good and affordable this was.

I got given some Subaru driveshafts still attached to the knuckles with the staked axle nut. This thing just whizzed them off without hesitation.

Can't wait for the next stubborn nut or bolt !!

This season I was mainly riding 4 of these. But even the oldest boards get brought out now and again. I have most of my older boards all stored in my old home country.
