There's a scene in Extinction 27.4 where Taylor and GU are talking about Eidolon and GU mentions Eidolon setting things in motion. Did she know about his connection to the Endbringers?

This might be a silly question, but I know that it's common for men to get referred to by patronyms like Odysseus is also called Laertides/Laertiades for son of Laertes. Is there a reason heroes like Jason don't get called Zeusides? Or is it just because there's enough sons of Zeus that it would get confusing.

In this context a Zubat is an enemy that is numerous, annoying, and while not typically difficult to deal with is potentially resource exhausting and typically evokes a reaction like "Fuck me, there's more???". Pokemon has Zubats, Borderlands has Rakk/Kratch. What are some examples from other games?

I've lived in Lowell for the last two years, but I've just gotten a job in Holliston so I'm moving there. I'm a bit of a nerd so I frequented my local bookstore a lot for their book clubs and I already know about Aesop's. Are there any other fun spots in or around Holliston that people in their 20s - 30s congregate? Especially queer folks.

Has anyone had enemies who would just run away instead of engaging at all? I just ran into a Gearhead that seemed almost programmed to avoid me. Even if I walked directly into its path it would jump over me and move away.

I'm kind of a weird situation at work. I'm a librarian for my city library and I was hired using funding from the federal ARPA program. The funding for that program has run out so the city is terminating my role once it does since they won't have money to pay me.

However, an internal position opened up in the library because the person who was working at got promoted out and this internal position is effectively the exact same job I've already been doing, and I'm 100% the most qualified person to get it. I interviewed for it last week, and I do feel like there's a strong chance I will get it. However I'll be out of work on the 30th and I haven't heard anything from management yet. I've obviously been sending my resume out and applying to a bunch of different places but I haven't gotten many responses yet.

Would it be unprofessional to ask one of the people who was on the interview panel if they plan to give me the job and express that I'm only asking because the answer to that significantly impacts my next steps. I obviously wouldn't do this under normal circumstances but I feel like these are unusual circumstances.

This might be a silly question but when Grey Boy attacks Purity and Astrid, Kayden threatens to blast him at the door but he tells her not to bother because they both know she can't kill him.

But Gray Boy isn't immune to physics right? Surely she could throw him back, potentially even blind him for a second and fly away right?

For me, I'd love something about the Blasphemies. I thought what little glimpses we got were cool and I'd love to know a little more about what their deal is.

I'm using Linux (Zorin) and I've checked my settings I definitely don't have social media blocked and I even tried whitelisting Discord but it's still not working. This is a sudden issue because it was working just fine with windscribe as of a couple days ago and I'm not sure what changed.

I was looking for True Blood and it literally would not run the search. Anything else I looked for would search immediately. Tried again with Blue Bloods on a hunch, same problem. Tried the word Blood by itself, same problem.

For example after the area code does a phone number like this: (###) - 123 - 4567 mean that that number was the 1,234,567th phone number to be generated for that area code? Or are they just randomly generated and checked against a database?

I'm not even sure this is 100% the best place to post it but if anyone's going to appreciate this, it's probably this sub.

One of my friends is a huge board game nerd. They own a ridiculous number of games and they go to board game events constantly. My friend is sort of a butch presenting person who uses any pronouns. This is important. To the outside eye they just look kind of like a textbook casual butch lesbian.

We were at a board game event and they had set up the game they brought at one of the open tables. A guy joins the table and immediately starts mansplaining how the game works to my friend despite them mentioning multiple times it was their game and they knew the rules.

Eventually he says something along the lines of "Well most girls don't even play games like this so I assumed" and my friend goes "Dude I'm not even a girl. I'm agender."

The guy immediately goes "Oh shit I'm sorry. I thought you were a girl. My mistake." And was on his best behavior the rest of the night. His entire demeanor changed once he realized they didn't identify as a woman.

For me I would use Danny Phantom as a great example of a Breaker. Someone who has to shift forms in order to access an array of abilities.
