Possible PCV issue?

Looking at buying a clean XC70 with the 3.2L 6-cylinder. The only issue is a CEL for cylinder bank 2 running too lean and a high pitched noise at idle. My guess is a PCV valve, google says it’s the pcv valve oil trap assembly. What do all of you Volvo experts think? Ideas on what the cost may be to fix?

Are ties from the Tie Bar good quality?

I've posted a few times looking for a high-quality, silk version of my favorite tie (photo 2) which is just a polyester one from kohls, then today I came across this tie (photo 1) from the tie bar that says it’s 100% silk. Are their ties good quality? I think it would be a good replacement for my current favorite tie, let me know your opinions!

2nd Gen Touareg reliability and things to look out for

Considering a 2nd gen Touareg VR6 for my first car, any common issues or things to worry about in terms of reliability? I am reasonably mechanical inclined and can do a decent amount of work myself. Also planning on getting a PPI done by a local Euro car specialist owned by a family friend.

What does “give it to god” mean?

I hear this advice a lot, especially when it comes to hardships in life. Like anytime I am struggling with something, my mom’s only advice is “give it to god,” and I’ve also heard this line from priests and teachers but never understood wtf it was supposed to mean. I also feel like it’s kind of a cop out, like if someone says this, they don’t really care about your problems and a just saying it to act all holy and to feel better about themselves.

I feel a calling to the church- would any of you mind sharing your testimonies?

Hello all! I 17M was raised catholic, and my family is still very devoted to the catholic church. I stopped believing in catholicism roughly 4 years ago and currently consider myself to be an agnostic. I initially started learning about the LDS Church through ex-LDS content on YouTube, and I was very intrigued, which led me to do more research into the church. I began watching and reading content that rebutted the ex-LDS content that I initially consumed, and I started to feel like there was a profound truth in the LDS church. I feel like the Spirit is calling me in some way and is trying to tell me that the church is truth in the LDS Church. I would appreciate hearing your testimonies, and I feel like they would help me a lot on my faith journey. Thank you all!

Are custom/bespoke ties a thing?

I have this tie that I really love, I’ve posted about it on here quite a few times, but it’s always bothered me that it’s just a cheap polyester kohls brand tie. So I was wondering if bespoke or custom ties are a thing, would it be possible to replicate this pattern but with real silk? I mostly just want to cut down on the cheap-ish looking polyester shine, and I think it would be cool to have a custom tie. I would be wearing it for my senior pictures and probably high school graduation, so I would probably also like to add a personal touch like embroidering “class of 2027” or something like that on the back. If any knows if this is possible, what a good company would be to use for this, or what this might cost I would love to know.

Edit: I’m located in the Midwestern U.S.

For those here who grew up catholic, how serious did your families take mass and the faith, and do you think that played a role in you leaving?

For example my mom takes Catholicism very seriously and is always very strict about getting to mass and makes sure we dress up for church, like I always have to wear a tie and stuff. And we need to go to adoration and do a daily bible study and pray the rosary every night before going to bed. And I do think that part of the reason I no longer believe is because of how strict my family was with the faith. Even though I’m PIMO, I feel a lot more freedom and peace not believing, even just keeping the fact that I don’t believe to myself.

What if Mercury survived?

Would Ford have actually done something with the brand other than just barely re-bodied Ford products? What kind of company would you like to have seen Mercury become?

Any suggestions on a nicer/higher quality version of my favorite tie?

This has always been my favorite tie, and I’ve had it for probably 7 or 8 years now, but it’s just a cheap polyester Kohl’s brand tie, that’s gotten pretty worn out having been my go to for church, weddings, prom, anything I need to dress up for. I’d like to get a replacement for it, but something from a quality brand, and ideally a silk tie, but I’m not sure what to look for or what this pattern is where the stripes are the same color but different textures. If any of you have recommendations I’d love to hear them!

Is there any major difference in the suspension between the suspension in the luxury package cars vs the suspension in sport suspension cars aside from the struts and shock absorbers?

So many people talk about how much peace they find through the bible and stuff, but even when I was really devout, I never felt any connection to scripture. It never brought me peace or really elicit any feelings. Granted, I stopped believing when I was 14, so maybe I just wasn’t old enough to understand it or build a connection to scripture, but even reading youth bibles or going to bible study at youth group I never felt anything when reading the bible.
