hi y’all!

i am considering switching to a c&c cage to give my hedgehog more roaming space (he’s currently in a rabbit type cage situation). it’s been good for him for years but it’s honestly getting worn out- the plastic bottom is scratched up and i’m ready for something new.

i see c&c cages in this sub all the time that look so cute and spacious. i just can’t have an open top because of my cat! i live in a studio so i don’t have anywhere to seperate the two.

does anyone have a solution? or experience in this? i’ve never had one so i don’t know how sturdy they are. i’ve seen partially covered ones with the grid tiles on top. would that work to keep a cat out?

i know it to be a sleepy mountain town. what are the best things to do surrounding? i’ll have a car rented for travel, likely to stay in cantanzaro, 10 days.

i am interested in eating local foods, wines. would love to take a hike, meet locals.

i am from a very touristy area (new york city), so i’m not so interested in large tourist traps.

i like nightlife, dancing, a good time!

further on in the video a group of 10-15 people gather before the taxi leaves. i don’t remember any of this happening and i really need the taxi information to hold this bastard letting drunk passengers in and out in the bike lane accountable. was this you! please help!

i have a senior hedgie (he’s EIGHT this year and perfectly healthy!) and when he was younger he used a litter box. as he’s aged, he stopped using it. i think he literally became incontinent like an old man 🫣🤣

so…. i’m looking for your best tips to keep things clean and smell-free now that i have a little pee monster. my current method is to use pee pads over the entire cage with a liner over top. i clean with vinegar. i trash the pads and do a full clear out once weekly with spot cleans as much as possible…. it still gets pretty rank because i just can’t lift the pee obviously.

is there a better setup for me? am i missing something?

i’ve lived in new york a while now, but i was living in new builds and on high floors. i never really saw roaches in my old apartments.

i moved to an old building, 3rd floor. i’m seeing big roaches every once in a while, which i know is sort of normal and not indicative of infestation which is good. i’m just wondering if there’s anything more i can do to keep them away- should i cover my drains when not in use? i already have those bait traps out, i keep clean, and my apartment sprayed.

any suggestions?

wondering what y’all’s experience is with la mode bk. after my experience last night, i don’t think i will return.

my coworkers and i went there to get dinner / drinks and watch the game. party of 6, but because we all end work at different times we trickled in as time went on. the first of my coworkers arrived at 6:30. they ordered appetizers and dinner to go to bring to their families.

i ordered vegetable fried rice around 7:30 and it took NEARLY THREE HOURS, and it still wasn’t out. My coworkers had been there since 6:30, and their food wasn’t out at TEN PM. I told them it was ridiculous and I closed my check, paid for my one drink and left. They were too polite to say anything, and one of them had paid for all their food before it arrived. it was like she was stuck in purgatory.

i asked the waiter what happened in the kitchen, and he said it’s because WE split our check too many ways. this does not make much sense.

does anyone have a similar or dissimilar experience at la mode? i have heard people in the neighborhood recommending it, so i have to say i’m extremely disappointed by my experience.

Could y’all inform how you would know if you had Irish traveler DNA? Hoping someone with more of an understanding can educate me about this. I believe there is a difference between Irish travelers and Romani people.

My DNA came back with celtic and gaelic and i once had a ~psychic medium~ tell me i had traveler ancestors. i never even knew i was irish / scottish so now this has me thinking about that!
