A producer wants my script for 12 months, to try to find investors etc. How does it work?

I sent my first feature script to a manager / junior producer. She is interested to represent me and also produce it (meaning looking for producing partner, investors, casting etc

She basically said the script and all underlying rights remain entirely mine. Her role would be to take the project out - shape the strategy with me, approach producers and potential producing partners, financiers, sales/distribution, casting and other relevant parties and rep the project in those conversations. And nothing would ever be agreed or committed to without my approval and I remain attached to direct.
If the film gets made, she wants credit + fee + share of net proceeds - to be agreed and papered later on.
She wants an initial 12-month term with reasonable protection around introductions and work generated during that period.

Is it a normal procedure? Don’t I have to ask her some money? As I guess I couldn’t reach other producers so I could lose 12 months if she doesn’t find money.

Labs and residencies for features films?

Do you know good residencies/labs etc such as Sundance labs for a director who wrote a first feature taking places in the us (but not American citizen)? Thanks!

I think it’s nice that we share the same sky (…) Like, we’re both underneath the same sky, so we’re kind of together.

Problem sound on publish online

I'm trying to have a music automatically playing when the doc open (on a brower). But it only play if I press play, and it also stop when I go to the next page. Even though I selected "play when page load" and deselected "stop at the new page". Any ideas?

Do you think DCP-o-matic is enough for a DCP for a film festival?

I don’t know much about DCP but I guess for a 20min film image ratio 1.85, in 2k, sound in 5.1, with a tutorial on YouTube it should be enough to make a DCP right ? Trying to avoid paying like 200 dollars for something I could do on my own

Can anyone solve this old internet theory by asking Matt Damon if he was an extra on an episode of Friends or not

An A-List actress' manager made me sign a submission agreement to be able to read. Is that common?

Hi! I wrote a screenplay (my first feature) and sent it (with a deck) to a manager of an A-List (Oscar winner) actress for the lead. The manager told me it sounds good and his assistant sent me a submission release form (basically stating that I wrote it, they won't use it unless we agree etc etc). Didn't hear back since (it's been maybe 3 months).
Is it a common thing? Do managers do that a lot? (sending a submission form?) or does that mean they are interested?
Do you think the actress will read it? Or is it just for them to have a look and if they really like it they will transfer it to her?
Do you think after like 3 months it means they won't move forward?

Thank you

Edit : corrected the few mistakes (English is not my first langage)

Why do you think Zendaya didn’t do the behind the scenes interview on S03?

Realised that everyone did some interview for the behind the scenes videos on HBO Max youtube channel except her. I guess wirh her relation with Sam she didn’t want to talk to much, and probably made the « no behind the scenes interview » in her contract
