Also, what do you think of my mini-slate here?
Had a great time playing this remake; I give it an 8/10 personally. However, no one seems to be addressing the several elephants in the room from the prequel missions in how it fits into the lore.
So I'll ask and see what you guys think:
All of these figures are in acceptable condition with most of their accessories, however I don’t have the boxes for the Red Mark 7 Spartan and *maybe* Chief & The Weapon, as well as the interchangeable hands for Chief & The Weapon. If I do find them, I’ll be sure to include them all.
I want to sell all of these figures at once instead of separate, my asking price $80 but I will cover shipping.
However, I am open to selling these individually for a reasonable offering but shipping would be on you.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I've made a Halo cosplay before, and while it was a moderate success, I didn't scale that thing to my body, so it ended up just...wiggling around. I want to make the suit tighter so it doesn't wobble everywhere, but I have no idea how to scale myself with the armor parts.
My next cosplay is due in less than 90 days, so I have some time and a head start. How can I scale? I heard of a program called Armor Smith, I think? Is it good? Or are there alternatives?
(Oh, and here are some images of my suit. Master Chief Mark 5!)
Might make it Jerome-092 and add a red stripe but hey who knows?
Battle-worn vs. factory new
In Halo First Strike, John-117 believed he considered Linda-058 to be the best Spartan because she can operate effectively as a lone wolf and as a sharpshooter without needing a spotter. And given that she did an impressive stunt in First Strike (dangling off a suspended cable upside down and shooting Banshee pilots out of their cockpits), literally less than a day after surgically recovering from plasma wounds, I can see why.
John has also said that he would lose a fist fight to Fred-104 because not only does he consider him the currently physically strongest Spartan, but he also believes that Fred intentionally holds himself back to give the others the spotlight; in many ways, he seems to consider Fred to be his successor as leader of the Spartans. There's also the fact that Fred is a tactical leader, often the de facto leader of Blue Team when John's not around, and he is an excellent fighter with knives.
With all that taken into account, who is the best Spartan-2/Spartan in general? Both in practical terms and in terms of how the Chief judges them? One can even argue that Chief is the best since he's a jack of all trades, so to speak. He already spends most of the games being a lone Spartan with various weapons, so it's not an easy question to answer. But I want to know in his eyes, who is the best?
So I was rewatching the Project Foundry reveal from last year, and I completely forgot the fact that Chief doesn't have "117" stamped on his chest in the CE remake cutscenes.
Honestly? I don't understand why they took that out. It gives more military legitimacy, given that in our real world, US soldiers have names tagged on their uniforms. Why wouldn't Spartans? It'd be a lot easier to tell apart who's who for standard UNSC troops.
I also noticed in Halo: Reach, Noble Team also had tags on the sides of their armor. Then there's Halo Wars 2, and Jerome has his number stamped too, and he's wearing an older armor than Noble.
It kind of breaks continuity since Spartans have tags that early in the timeline.
