We’re a small team of friends who make trailers & video content for indie games, and we just launched our new website!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m Brad, founder and creative director of ByCherryMedia.

We’re a small creative team specialising in trailers, gameplay editing, devlogs, social content and other video/creative work for games. We’ve just finished rebuilding our website, so I wanted to share it here and introduce ourselves properly.

We’re a small group of friends who have known each other for a long time. We originally met online playing Call of Duty: Ghosts back in 2014. Over the years we all went in different directions, built different careers and picked up different skills. But gaming was something that always kept us connected. Eventually we thought, why not put our skills together and build something around gaming? And that’s basically how ByCherryMedia happened.

Today we’re a small team covering video editing, game capture, motion graphics, music, sound, and localisation. I’m personally responsible for most of the creative/video side of things, with the rest of the team helping across the different areas.

We’ve had the opportunity to work and build relationships with some really amazing game developers from all over the world this last year:

VaultBreakers Map Overview (now unlisted)
VaultBreakers Playtest Showcase (we’ve helped amass over 1 million views for VaultBreakers on YouTube!)
Slumber Realm Trailer
Swimpossible! Launch Trailer
Relooted Demo Trailer

And our new website is finally LIVE - bycherrymedia.com

We’ve tried to make the process as transparent as possible, particularly around pricing. One of the things we’ve added is a pricing estimator, where you can select the type of work you’re looking for and build up an estimate based on the scope and requirements of your project. So rather than having to contact us just to ask how much a trailer or social edit would be, you can get an estimate yourself before even reaching out!

We’re currently taking on a limited number of projects over the next month or so. We’re deliberately keeping the number limited because we’re still a small team, and we’d rather work with a handful of developers and give their projects the attention they deserve than take on everything that comes our way.

If you’re working on an indie game and need a trailer, gameplay video, devlog, social content, motion graphics or something more custom, please check us out!

And if you’re not looking for anything right now that’s completely fine too, we’re always happy to meet other developers and see what people are working on!

Thanks for reading if you’ve gotten this far :)

[ForHire] Looking for more indie game trailer, social media, and other video projects

Hey everyone!

I'm Brad, founder of ByCherryMedia, a media agency focused entirely on video content for games.

Over the past year I've been fortunate enough to work with some incredible developers and studios including:

• BetaDwarf (VaultBreakers)
• Carry1st in marketing PUBG Mobile
• Chugga Games (Slumber Realm)
• Arcane Cabinet (Swimpossible!)
• Nyamakop (Relooted)

I help developers turn gameplay into marketing content that gets players interested, including:

• Steam trailers
• Announcement trailers
• Gameplay showcases
• Social media content
• Short-form vertical videos
• Feature highlight videos

Most of my clients are indie developers and small studios, which I genuinely enjoy because I get to work closely with the people building the games.

A few projects are wrapping up soon, so I'm looking to take on a couple more games for the coming months.

If you're working on a game and need help with trailers, social content, or marketing videos, feel free to DM me. Happy to chat even if you're just looking for feedback or ideas.

Thanks! :)

Hey everyone! I’m Brad, founder of ByCherryMedia.

I’ve been obsessed with games for basically my entire life. Started with a PlayStation 1 when I was around 4 years old, then went through the whole pipeline: Gameboy, PS2, PSP, PS3, PS4, Call of Duty addict, first gaming PC, montage editing, funny gaming videos with friends…

Eventually I moved into professional editing and worked for several years in localisation/media production for AAA studios and publishers. Over a year ago I left that path to build my own media business focused specifically on indie games, and I am completely obsessed with this work.

Over the past year I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing developers:

  • Actively working with BetaDwarf on content for their new title VaultBreakers
  • Ongoing social media content for PUBG Mobile
  • Recently completed an updated trailer for Slumber Realm (solo dev Brian was my first client through Reddit!)
  • Collaborated with Arcane Cabinet for two Swimpossible! trailers
  • Collaborated with Nyamakop on their demo trailer for Relooted

I specialise in:

  • Game trailers (Steam, YouTube, Kickstarter...)
  • Social media marketing edits
  • Announcement videos
  • Gameplay and feature showcases
  • Short-form vertical content
  • Game capture (if a version of the game is accessible to me)

Some big projects are concluding so I’m currently looking to line up more, especially with indie developers or publishers looking for someone who genuinely understands gaming culture and how to make gameplay feel exciting.

Would love to connect with more devs here - DM me!

Thanks for reading :)

Came across a Facebook Marketplace listing with an old vintage binder with Charizard, Blastoise and Pikachu on the front. The binder wasn’t in the best condition with the plastic cover almost completely ripped off.

Anyways, the binder had around 40 cards from base set, jungle, fossil, base set 2 and movie promos, including a base set 2 Charizard. Messaged the guy asking if they were real, he said that I could come check the cards out for myself. Just by the pictures I noticed that a handful were 100% fake but I took a gamble since the Charizard looked real. Not mint-condition, but I was okay with that.

Met up with the guy, he knew nothing about Pokemon, didn’t know if the cards were real and said the binder was his nephews. I took the risk and bought the binder for £100.

I’m pretty sure that the Charizard is real, but I’d like to get more input here. Thanks in advance! :)

I got back into Pokemon Go a few months ago after not playing it since launch. Now I’m addicted 😭

I usually go for a morning walk before I start my day. A Galarian bird would occasionally spawn in the same place - seen about three before but never lucky enough to catch one. Today I damn near shit myself when I saw it was shiny. 40 ultra balls and golden Razz’ later, I got my first Galarian bird 😭
