The “God is Holy and Must Punish Sin” Defense simply isn’t going to Cut It for the Idea of Hell
You don’t show how you’re better than a Hitler, or a Stalin, or a Mao Zedong, or a Pol Pot by behaving worse than they did!
I see this “God is Holy” phrase brought up all the time when Xtians defend Hell, and really, it’s simply a thought-terminating cliché, and in some instances (especially when the phrase is used to excuse the killings in the OT), I would also call it a form of Special Pleading.
