Obligatory fuck JKR and fuck TERFS

I recently saw The Cursed Child on broadway (the tickets were a gift, I wouldn’t buy them myself! But I won’t lie, I was excited to see it) and I ADORE Scorpius’ character. He’s silly and loud and weird and says “whizzo” and always says the wrong thing at the wrong time and I just loved him (his actor was PHENOMENAL).

I’d love to read a Drarry fic where Draco is sort of like that? Socially awkward, dorky, weird and silly and just a completely odd guy overall

Does anyone have any recs with this sort of personality for Draco?

I want to write a fic where Harry is an Auror, but as I’ve started brainstorming it, I’ve realized that there’s a pretty huge gap in my fic reading habits… I’ve basically read no fics with Auror Harry and as a result have no idea how to write the Auror office or career!

I mostly write school fics or AUs, so I have no idea who I would even write as the ensemble cast. I think Robards is popular in Auror fics, but again, huge gap in my Drarry knowledge/experience lol. And other logistics about the Ministry and careers and stuff.

What are your recs for fics that you think do Auror Harry the best? Best ensemble cast, best world building. I’d love to read a bunch of fics and do my research to get a better idea of what/who I can work with!

Bonus points for smut and top Harry, a gold star if there’s down and out Draco or some Draco whump (definitely for research and not for selfish reasons…)

At 20 chapters, I'm 2/3 of the way through posting my fic He Says Take the Dare!

In honor of reaching 20 chapters, 170k+ words, and 500+ kudos, I've updated the story summary! The previous summary was super brief and didn't give a lot of detail. I think this one does the fic more justice :)

Plagued by nightmares, PTSD, and panic attacks, he fails rather spectacularly at acting anywhere near normal.

Except where Harry fails to act normal, Malfoy manages to come across as simply succeeding at being weird. Where Malfoy was once polished, cold, and perfect, he returns to Hogwarts messy, haphazardly dressed, perpetually late, and chronically stoned.

I have ADHD type C, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Treatment Resistant Depression. I’ve been jumping around trying different medications for years. I tried Vyvanse for my ADHD but switched to Concerta at the beginning of the year and have been seeing more success on it. I’ve been on Wellbutrin for two years for my depression, anhedonia and low libido (it’s been a godsend, I have no plans to ever get off).

The problem is that I haven’t been able to find a good medication for my anxiety. I’ve been on Lexapro, Zoloft, and now I’m on Pristiq. They’re all antidepressants but apparently are also meant to help with anxiety.

Lexapro helped a little but made me feel flat and gain weight. Zoloft helped my anxiety a lot but made me feel numb and miserable all the time. Pristiq has helped me feel more ‘normal’ day to day, but my anxiety is still a lot.

I feel a lot of physical anxiety and ruminate a lot. My chest often feels tight, I often feel shaky and like it’s a little hard to breathe. I’m anxious at work and anxious at home because I ruminate about all the things I’m not doing/ don’t do right.

I’m in therapy and that has helped a bit, but I really want something that targets and helps the physical side of my anxiety. Has anyone had success on any anxiety medications in combination with a stimulant?

I have an appointment with my psych on Wednesday and plan to chat with her about this but would love to hear other people’s experiences.
