With a state of play coming, and Parappa's 30th anniversary this year...I hope we get something like this!
What do you think? Will we get anything for Parappa's 30th?

What do you think? Will we get anything for Parappa's 30th?
2026: Nothing. We got MP4 last year, and it seems too soon for 2D Metroid
2027: Super Metroid Remake. This has been rumored, and it just makes sense. We got a Metroid 1 remake and a Metroid 2 remake, so this is the next one up.
2028: Metroid Prime Hunters. I think we could see DS games on NSO in 2028, and it'll launch with Metroid Prime Hunters
2029: Nothing. I think 2029 will be a dry year for Metroid unfortunately.
2030: Metroid 6. It'll have been 9 years since Dread, and 3 since the Super Metroid Remake. More than enough time for the next 2D Metroid.
2031: Metroid Prime Pinball on NSO. And the crowd goes mild.
2032: Metroid Prime 2 Remake. I think we won't see MP2 on GameCube NSO because they're working on a MP2 Remake, and it will come out at the tail end of the Switch 2's life.
What do you think?
2026: Nothing. We already got VB Wario Land this year, and I'm honestly not expecting anything else.
2027: New Wario Land, WarioWare Twisted (NSO). The same leak that said we were getting a new Star Fox also said we're getting a new Wario Land. So I'm having it release next year, along with WarioWare Twisted releasing on NSO
2028: Wario Land 1 & 2 (NSO). It's about time these games came to NSO
2029: New WarioWare. It will have been 6 years since the previous WarioWare by this point. More than enough time for a new game.
2030: WarioWare Touched (NSO). I think we'll get DS games on NSO in 2028, but we won't see anything from Wario until 2030 with his DS WarioWare game
2031: Wario: Master of Disguise (NSO). Screw it, might as well get the other major Wario DS title on here too.
2032: WarioWare: Mega Partygames (NSO). At the end of the Switch 2, we'll get the GameCube WarioWare game. Seems late, but with Mega Microgames already on the service, this is a little redundant
Trying to keep a chain going and finding the optimal routes was a lot of fun, and if they brought it back as a new mode in World, I think it would be awesome, either as like a challenge or a new single player/multiplayer mode where you just drive around a track for x amount of time and whoever has the highest combo wins
2026: Kirby's Pinball Land on NSO. This is a light year, but we just got Air Riders and Forgotten Land S2 Edition last year, so it's valid.
2027: Nightmare in Dreamland on NSO, new 3D Kirby. At this point it will have been 5 years since Forgotten Land, so I think it's time
2028: Squeak Squad on NSO, Super Star Ultra on NSO, Planet Robobot Remake. This year is when I think we'll get DS games on NSO, and it'll launch with Super Star Ultra, with Squeak Squad coming later in the year. We'll also get the long rumored Planet Robobot Remake
2029: New 2D Kirby, Air Ride on NSO. It will have been 4 years since Air Riders, so we can finally get Air Ride on NSO. We'll also finally get a new original 2D Kirby game after 11 years. Why the long wait? Simply put, Forgotten Land sold extremely well, so they'll prioritize a new 3D game over a new 2D one.
2030: Canvas Curse on NSO, new Kirby spinoff on eShop. Pretty self explanatory here, not much to say. HAL likes their weird little eShop spinoffs.
2031: Kirby's Block Ball on NSO, Kirby Rainbow/Canvas Curse Sequel. I feel like they might take the mouse mode opportunity to make a Rainbow Curse sequel.
2032: Mass Attack on NSO. It's the end of the Switch 2's life and a quiet year for Kirby. Just an NSO game.
What do you think?
2028: Partners In Time on NSO
I know the DS isn't available on NSO yet, but it feels inevitable. I could see it launching in 2028 with PiT, since the GBA NSO app also launched with a Mario & Luigi game
2030: New M&L for Switch 2
This will be 6 years since Brothership, plenty of time for a new entry
2031: Bowsers Inside Story on NSO
I imagine the drip feed of DS NSO games will be pretty slow, so that's why I have this a whole 3 years after PiT
Obviously, I'm not confident on the dates, but I do see all 3 of these things as pretty likely. What are your thoughts?
2027: New Paper Mario game
It will have been 7 years since TOK, and 3 years since TTYD Remake. It's time.
2028: TTYD original on NSO
For those thinking "why would they do this when the remake exists?", they did this before with other remakes/re-releases. Sunshine, 64, Mario vs DK, etc.. Plus, it will have been 4 years since the remake came out. Everyone that wanted the remake by this point already has it.
2031: Super Paper Mario Remake
Why Super Paper Mario? Well, the original is already on Switch 2 via NSO, and doesn't really need a remake. Meanwhile, SPM is the highest selling Paper Mario game, and could really benefit from some QoL improvements. So I think it's the next game up to get a remake.
This structure also mirrors what we got on Switch 1: TOK in 2020, PM64 on NSO in 2021, and TTYD Remake in 2024.
I'm not certain on the years, obviously, but I do think it's likely we'll see all 3 of these things happen at some point in the Switch 2's lifecycle. What do you think?
Thanks to everyone who participated! TTYD Remake is the winner!
And here's the full order:
TTYD Remake
PM64
TTYD Original
Super Paper Mario
Bug Fables
SMRPG Remake
Escape From Ever After
SMRPG Original
TOK
CS
Born of Bread
Outbound Ghost
Paper Jam
SS
It's down to the final 2!

With Super Paper Mario eliminated, we're down to the final 3! (Technically just two games)

Last round, Escape From Ever After was eliminated, with SMRPG Remake just barely avoiding elimination!

Last round, Paper Jam was placed with it's 3DS brother at the bottom of the list (sorry Paper Jam defenders)
