I realized you can kinda group the Metroid games into 4 distinct eras

First is the classic era with the original 3 games and the long hiatus

Second is the prime era, which gave us the prime trilogy, a couple prime spinoffs, and finally a sequel to super metroid

Third is the experimental era, where we got two of the most different and controversial Metroid games ever

Finally we're in the comeback era, where MercurySteam showed us what a modern Metroid game is like, and the Prime series even made a comeback

So, how would you rank these eras?

1. Diddy Kong Racing:

Before we even got the first N64 game, Banjo was in Diddy Kong Racing (just Banjo). Interestingly, this was the first (and only) time Banjo actually speaks words, where he just says "I'm Banjo!". Otherwise, there's nothing special about him in this game

2. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (Xbox 360):

Each console that this game released on got different exclusive characters. And of course, since Microsoft owned Rare by this point, they put Banjo and Kazooie in the game. They have an All-Star move called Jiggy Rain, where giant Jiggys fall on the track to crush players. They also use their Nuts & Bolts designs

3. Minecraft (Xbox 360 Edition):

Okay idk if this really counts, but several Banjo characters, including Banjo, Tootie, Gruntilda, and Bottles, got official Minecraft skins in the Xbox 360 version. But since these are skins, you're not technically playing as these characters. But I thought I'd include it anyway for completeness

4. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate:

Banjo and Kazooie made their long-awaited comeback in the second fighter's pass of Smash Ultimate, along with a stage and a bunch of music and spirits from the games

Where do you think we'll see the duo again? Will they return for the next Smash game?

Imo, one of the greatest game studios of all time. Very few misses, and their hits are some of the greatest games ever made

Not only are we getting Seven Havens, but we're also getting the Collectors Edition of the Yangchen novels! Been waiting to read those until we got the collectors edition, so I'm super excited!

Are there any franchises you'd like to see them take on?

Personally I think a return to Mario Baseball would be cool

We got the new game releasing tomorrow, and the movie finally releasing on Saturday!

I want to see all 3 viruses drive a car at the same time
