2017 kia forte: Brake and steering wheel locking ??

My car is well maintained, I bought it a month ago,

Only twice while pulling out of a parking lot has my car suddenly locked the brake and steering wheel. Ive come to the conclusion that it could be me accidentally putting the car in manual mode? ( automatic transmission but has "+" and "-" signs beside the" D") it scared the shit out of me, and i had to shift the car into Neutral or park so the car even allows me to restart the engine, and THEN the brake depresses and the steering wheel allows. This is so frustrating, im definitely not trying to die while im taking a cruise

I cut the unused parts out of my old journals to save money kn buying new ones.

I cut these from the spine. So they're still blinded together, I need reccs! Should I make these into Traveler's journal inserts?? I love Moleskine and Leuchtturm, but they get expensive every year, lol

Retwisted my starters, but

Just retwisted my starters,( 40 days old) while watching TV, never gotta pay for that again, I guess. Anyways Does my scalp look like its thinning or is it normal for retwists to be this scalpy?? I had two sets in the past and only retwisted every 3+ months, I like the frizzy big voluminous look, but my hair was annoying me- so im just wondering if my scalp is supposed to look this red 🫪

Surprisingly going super well! Loving my progress so far

Any tips appreciated, some locs are flattening, I don't mind it, they're super frizzy

Why doesn't my mom allow me and my partner to sleep in the same room?

I am, F22, he is M23. as you can see we are both adults. Yes I still stay with my mother, the economy is understandable. I went to mv boyfriend's house( which is just a roommate rented space) like I usually do every weekend, and this time we noticed this pungent rotten egg sewage smell,we went downstairs and the downstairs bathroom flooded and it reeks badly of sewage gas. NOBODY uses that bathroom at all, so that was weird. Because of this, the house is entirely unhabitable until the issue is fixed and we get an all clear. so we have a plumber coming out the next day. For the time being, we drove over back to my house and we had a sleepover there. Me and my partner are very, hobby oriented if you can say that, so its not like were doing weird things or anything. In the morning my mom tells me next time he sleeps over he has to sleep on the couch. She never gives me reason to why she does this, she just ignores me or yells at me when i ask.

She used to not even let him come over-- again, without reason. So im confused. We are grown, we sleep in the same bed at his place either way so im not getting it.

Semi freeforms, two weeks in and freshly washed, idk whats going on but im gonna trust the process

This is my first genuine semi freeform journey, when I was loose natural I washed my scalp weekly, I can't imagine going a month without washing my hair so I interlocked them and hoped for the best. They still unravel when I wash, ao I just finger coil them into a shape and go about my day 🫪

Washed my comb coils after two weeks, with a mesh cap and they completely unraveled.

Genuinely how do u guys wash ur hair in the starter stages ( with comb// finger coils) this is ridiculous. They reverted back to afro but the parts and the ends of the coils are still in tact kinda. What.

I feel like i should post here, but I washed my starters after 2 weeks, they'll definitely still form correctly right 🫪

First pic is my hair now and the second was a few weeks ago, I Def wanna semi freeform but idk if I ahould get retwists for the first few monrhs or not so they actually keep a structure

Its been about two weeks since ive started comb coils. My hair became unbearable, ao I washed them, can I just finger coil them as a mini "Retwist "?

My hair generally just looks like freshly washed comb coils, still coiled but roots are unraveled, can I just finger coil them and they'll be fine?? I plan on using mousse and Xtreme hold gel..

Back in the game with my last set ever

Im so drawn to having locs, my hair is sacred to me, so When I cut my 15 year old set off I felt empty for a long time. This is my final set, and im pretty excited

My plan is to let them do what they do after 3 months of making sure they don't unravel after a wash, so semi freeforms!

For those 3 months ill be doing a retwist with no palmroll so my locs can fully form, and then from there I'll let them do what they want to do :]

What do you guys put under your floor mattresses??

Hey guys! Me and my partner have been trialing the idea of shikibutons for a year now [ MAXOYO sleeping mats on amazon basically] we love them so much, other than the fact that its filled with polyester. Besides that, what are you guys elevating them with? Traditional tatami mats are out of budget right now

We're looking for something wide enough for a king or queen size ideally

Is it kinda weird to want to process my dogs bones when she passes?

My dog is 9 years old but eventually down the line her time will come, and when it comes I want to put her body in a huge tub with dermestid beetles in it, let them clean the bones and then display her skull, make jewlery out of what I can, and then grind the rest to powder to give to my family.. instead of "Ashes"

Is this weird.?? Like would i technically get in trouble for this or something. I believe in liberating passed animals and honoring them through making their bones into art pieces. Im also a nature based pagan, all feedback is appreciated

Macerating a cat spine I found

As the title says, im macerating a cat spine! Ive never found any bones, this was my first time finding something worth taking with me. Me and my partner had a court date and beside the courthouse we found a.. uhm i guess decomposed cat. Nothing left but the bones, ears and fur, scattered across the ground, so I took the spine ( safely ). Ive rinsed it off really well a few times, its still able to bend so thats good. I simply looked up instructions on Google because I want to make this into a bangle or a choker to honor this poor baby, so I guess since I don't have dermestid beetles, we're sitting in the sun for a few weeks!

Im so in love!! I sold my ipad because it was just so distracting, reading on it would strain my eyes, and it was just time to let it go. I recently purchased the Kobo clara BW. I thought I'd hate it because its so small but I love it. It looks exactly like paper, its smooth and crisp, theres no actual LCD screen emitting blue light and its portable, I can fit this thing in my back pocket. I have a shelf of books but I haven't popped one open yet. I finished an entire book this week reading on my kobo. This was such a rewarding purchase!!

This is an image from Pinterest for refrence, but i really want my enclosures to be stacked in this manner because my shelf looks kinda tacky, how are these being stacked with enough space for the UVB and heat bulbs??? I must know this magic

As an experiment, I planted chia seeds in here because people say they really can grow in any condition. Well the seeds took 5 days to grow tall and its been this way for a while but today I woke up and saw two giant mushrooms in here. Gotta say this is beautiful, but i may have to trim this project soon, my leo is awkward about walking on the texture :P
