I used to be stationed aboard good old CVN-68. And seeing how AC eight is going to be primarily carrier focused I thought I’d share some of my flight ops pictures from around 2021 to 23. Hope y’all like them. I think you could probably find more that I’ve taken on DVIDS did it-YS933
It’s complete 1000 point done. There’s still lots to do and add but for now it’s time to build my next units and take a step back from painting. I’ve learned a lot painting these models 1 where I want to go next with my army and 2 confidence in what I’m doing. 3 commitment and how it pays off. I’ve never finished painting an army I’ve always given up halfway because I don’t like the scheme or feel I’ve done it poorly. I refused to think that way on this project I stuck to everything even when I felt it wasn’t going right. The sense of accomplishment when I had one more model to do was the most I’ve felt since building my first mini. That’s enough from me here is the army (so far) and final model Raphael captain of the 134th company of the blood angels. Thank you to everybody who has checked out my posts it was a great to see how many people liked it aswell as keeping me motivated to keep posting and painting.
These guys were fun because I got to put on so many decals especially on the Sergeant really happy with how he came out, but next I’m working on more terrain so that I have more varied backgrounds Would love to do some snow theme stuff maybe a hive city or even a cathedral would be nice. if you have any ideas for terrain, please let me know. One of the decals on the shield fell off, but luckily I had accidentally burnt through it with a lighter so it’s kinda looks like bullet damage.

Realized I forgot to post these when I took the picture. This is my heavy support squad. I painted them up as veterans mainly by accident. I use the rotor canon as the lliastus assault cannon from what I saw, they look relatively the same minus the box magazine, so I don’t think that should be too much of an issue. If not, I’ll just run them as a tactical support squad with rotor cannon.

Hello, I’ve been painting more faces recently. I’ve gotten better at lighter skin tones, but struggle with darker skin tones.(Hispanic/black) whenever I do a Hispanic or more tan skin tone. It always comes out looking more Caucasian and when I do black/brown skin tones. I feel like maybe I’m not highlighting enough just looking for some tips or advice on how go about it

30 tactical Marines done it may be a small accomplishment for some, but for me this is a very big step in completing my army or at least part of it. This is the most marines I’ve ever painted in a single go, and I’m very happy how that came out not used to photographing this many marines. I usually only photograph Kill Team so my photo box isn’t big enough. The sets painted are the new mark iv and the mark vi. I have 21 more marines to finish before Saturday so this short break it’s time to get back to work. Also highly recommend paint markers for rimming bases.
Pictures might not be the best quality I took them on my phone. I forgot my camera at work. This is my blood angels Legionnaire. I get the decal sheet on Friday so I’m excited to put the final touches on it. The bases aren’t done and he’s not even glued down yet. Just wanted to take a picture cause I was very proud of how this came out. I had lots of fun painting these guys especially the faces. That was a fun process to learn. I may make the bases a bit more interesting but I’m pretty happy where they are right now anyway, this post is long enough. I’ll be posting the whole squad later today.

I’ve always liked the helmet list marines while most of my Legion is gonna wear helmets. I like to splice in some non-helmeted ones the problem with that was always me not having a confidence to paint a good face, but today that confidence was built granted only with Caucasian skin. I’m still working on a recipe for black or brown skin, but I’m really proud of Allie came out. These are by far the best ones I’ve ever painted. Hopefully the quality doesn’t drop too bad. I don’t exactly know how to take pictures of something small like this.
Pic not related but I’m looking at my pile of potential (shame)and saw I had some capractii terminators want to kit bash one into a preator or another model. I always see really cool kitbashs here so I wanted to know if anyone had and ideas. I’m doing a blood angels is there anything legion specific I can do? Or would a general generic character be better
