First of all, I want to say thank you to all you responded on my previous post about the stripping the model. And it seems to have just been some staining the paint stuck good I didn’t do the best priming job as it was super late at night and I just wanna go to bed so there’s a bit of grey showing through, but it’s prime enough no detail was lost to my knowledge
I got this rescue lot and I’ve been stripping it using AK paint stripper but it keeps leaving this white chalky residue. I’m out of ideas on how to fix it. I don’t know if it will interfere with priming. I tried looking online but haven’t seen anything. I’ve used AK paint stripper before, but this usually doesn’t happen so I don’t know what to do. I’ve looked online and found similar posts, but I’ve never seen it to this degree has anybody dealt with it and how have you gotten rid of it or fixed it?
Finish these guys up wanted to see how much I can get away with just air, brushing the armor and doing no edge highlights. I think when I do my army as I’m doing 1000 point list after this starting with a combat patrol, I probably will just at highlight. I went with the au’taal sept in the ceremonial armor colors of the eternal bodyguards.
Finished this guy yesterday but I can’t think of a way to base him and the kill team. Any ideas?
These are my vets with disintegrators really love how the purple came out. Don’t know if I’ll do weathering I kinda like the pristine armor look on them. My transfers come in tomorrow so that will be the last thing I do. All pics are as shot no adjustments made. If your curious my settings are 1/40 9f 500 iso 50mm lens
Finished these guys before my emperors children don’t plan on using them in 30k maybe I will but probably just use them I 40K or kill team 1-5 are non edits and 6-10 are edited
This is my test scheme for my Emperors Children. I wanted to try out some new paints. It came out better then I thought, definitely should’ve went a bit heavier on the highlights but overall it was a quick paint round bout hour thirty to hour forty five. probably go down significantly now that I have the scheme down
Finally finished this squad first time painting iron warriors it was fun strips are easier then I thought I couldn’t get the tape on my models the way I wanted to save my life so I did it free hand some are thicker some are thinner but I’m happy with how it came out so far probably gonna do an all round wash then some chipping just to make them a bit more weathered also have to figure out how ima base them I’m thinking urban ruins but that’s lots of cork to cut
