‘71 CL350 with three additional lower cases and crates of extra parts. Identified no power getting to the headlight bucket even with a new battery, ground tests, and fuse so ordered a new harness. We will see if that clears things up. Have a Charlie’s digital ignition on the way. The exhaust has some holes so I plan on patching those up. Any other suggestions?
I helped a buddy fix up his ‘75 but now he is in need of selling it. Miles are 11658. All new fluids, battery, and tires. No issues other than the neutral light doesn’t come on unless the high beams are on. Runs and rides like a champ.

Bought this bike from a neighbor who is downsizing. Selling now for travel money. Runs and rides perfectly. Garage kept. Minor scratches but has never been dropped.
Two years ago it got new tires, oil change, new brake pads, LED headlight upgrade. Hasn’t been taken out much since these services.
Fresh battery this year.
Only issues identified are a small front brake leak (we are talking a drop every week or so) and intermittent kick stand sensor (never happened to me but the prior owner told me about it, and apparently it can be bypassed easily)

Heads up that there is scam call going around using your Longmont address and other info available on the Boulder County website. They claim you missed jury duty and need to pay your “failure to appear bond” of $8k. They throw out a lot of legal jargon and even give a false badge number for a Denver county sheriff officer. It’s all a scam. Tell your friends, neighbors or parents who may be frightened into paying to not. They exploit older folks and explicitly tell you to go into a quite private place so you can’t have anyone else there with you. Scum of the earth.
It’s been reported to the Denver authorities who said they have been doing this scam all week.
Doing a little 12 day solo tour around Oregon and naturally Bend drew me in. Partly on the off chance I'd be able to get a glimpse of Deacon and his bike. I got super lucky when inside the building- Dan was walking past the door as I got onto the landing. He came out and I explained I was on vacation from England and he was so cool about it. Pulled some strings to get me in to see the props and get pictures with them.
I know a few folk on here have been lucky before and some not so much. But just wanted to share as I know it will be appreciated. Dan seemed genuinely gutted about the sequel being pulled, especially after they were all prepped and ready to go with it. We can live in hope!

Update on the oil leak on a bike I built and sold. Looks like the valve adjuster nut was not tightened fully, backed off, and got wedged between a cam and the head case. The case lost. Full rebuild time.
Just getting into this hobby. Only my second melt. I’ve been collecting cans from work to build up a little aluminum stock before I try my hand at sand casting. Next time I am thinking of trying salt addition and comparing the dross amount. Any suggestions?
I sold this bike a few weeks ago after a rebuild. I recently took the head off to check the cam chain, reassembled with Permatex aviation gasket around the head, and ran about 10miles without issue. Now the new owner sends me this. Looks like needs a new cylinder head gasket but wanted others opinions in case I am missing an issue here. I torqued the head bolts all to spec but I guess the gasket loosened?
