28M | UK | Golden retriever nerd looking for genuine connections
Apparently today is the hottest day in the UK… which is great if you’re into sunshine, less great if you’re built for 12°C and overcast skies like the rest of us. So naturally, I’ll probably spend part of it hiding indoors with a fan, pretending I’m saving the Imperium instead.
Life’s actually going pretty well on paper. I’ve recently had a promotion and a pay rise, which has been a huge confidence boost. But it’s also made me realise that achievements don’t mean as much if you haven’t got good people to celebrate them with.
I’m 28, from the UK, pretty easygoing, and I’ve been told I have serious golden retriever energy. I like keeping active and usually start my weekdays in the gym it’s as much for my head as it is for my body.
Outside of that, I’m a fullon nerd. Gaming is easily my biggest hobby, especially anything with amazing lore or worlds you can disappear into. Halo, Mass Effect, Destiny 2, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Baldur’s Gate 3, Age of Empires IV, Crusader Kings, Elden Ring… and lately Kingdom Come: Deliverance, where I’m regularly getting humbled by peasants who somehow become master swordsmen the moment they spot me.
I’m also a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Warhammer 40K. I watched the latest Star Wars film recently and absolutely loved it, so I’m always happy to chat about galaxies far, far away. I also collect helmets and other nerdy memorabilia that’s gradually taken over my shelves. At this point, I think the collection owns the room.
On a more personal note, I’ve dealt with depression a couple of times in my life. It’s given me a real appreciation for genuine friendships and people who actually stick around. I try to be that person too—someone who’s happy to listen, check in, or just send you a completely unnecessary meme in the middle of the day.
I’m mainly looking for people who want actual friendships rather than conversations that disappear after a few messages. Whether that’s gaming together, voice chats, sharing memes, talking nonsense throughout the day, or somehow ending up in one of those random 1am conversations about life, the universe, and why we keep buying games we swear we’ll finish.
If you’re kind, easy to talk to, a little nerdy (or a lot), and looking for a genuine connection, I’d love to hear from you.
