I will be car camping about three times a year and I am not satisfied with my Tesmat Solo. I am seriously considering pulling the (hugely expensive) trigger on a Snuuzu.

Where I am going is Daytona Soeedway and I am an SCCA race official so I need to stay right at the track. The rooms right outside the track are $200 a night so I would pay for the mattress in about two weekends.

The market seems full of cheap solutions but everyone who’s reviewed it says the Snuuzu is the way to go. Thoughts?

I have reserved a 2022 Model S Plaid for an upcoming trip in California. I have read about how to prep for the obvious party trick launch mode and cheetah stance, and I can’t wait to scare the hell out of my parents with that…..but what else is there to enjoy with this exceptional car? I have it for five days in the mountains. What are the pleasures of Plaid life that you don’t read about in the headlines?

My wife’s 2017 S DSG needs new shoes and I am seriously considering these. Does anyone here have any experience with them, especially on a Mark 7 platform? I am leaning towards them because of their wet grip - we live in Miami - and slightly better ride than her current Firestone Firehawk Indy 500’s.

For every other car I have had in Miami I have run summer tires without question. However, I am getting advice that summer tires may cause a lot of range loss compared to AS. I really want the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 2 but I fear the range loss.

What do you guys think? Is the superior grip and wet-weather performance worth the range penalty?

I have a 2024 Model 3 LR RWD for reference.

I own a 2024 Model 3 RWD Long Range and I love it. However, I am away from home and I Turo’d a 2026 Model Y AWD. This thing is so cool! It’s way more comfy to sit in than my car and it goes like stink!

I am spoiled now. Nobody told me it was this good.

I work from home these days so my trips are pathetically short. The Publix a mile down the road or the Supercharger 1.5 miles away is about the extent of it most weeks.

Yesterday however I went absolutely door-to-door, parking spot to security gate from my place in Miami FL some 168 miles to Sebring International Raceway. This included perfect parking at a Supercharger and a bio break, every inch on FSD 14.3.3.

I know it’s not exactly cross country but I am thoroughly impressed with how far FSD has come since I bought my Model 3 new a year and nine month ago.

Yay me and yay FSD!!

I live in an apartment and the parking lot is right outside my bedroom window. Last night I happened to be out in the lot and moved my car to a better spot……and then I realized I did not have my phone with me. My phone was in, you guessed it, the bedroom.

Is the Bluetooth range really so good that it’s going some 40-50 feet outside my window? If so I have been sleeping with a totally unlocked car!! I turned off the phone key feature for now but is this really what’s going on?
