Any $399 Lease deals for an Elite

Hello there
I’m looking to get a lease deal on a prologue ELITE(really need that HUD) for $399 a month max, 0 down, I’ve seen it multiple times on this sub, I live in NYC, and I’m willing to travel anywhere in the US to be able to get this deal. Any leads would be appreciated!

Also is it even worth getting that car even if it’s discontinued?

Should I ditch my 2025 Honda Prologue Elite immediately or hold until November? Need a sanity check on the math.

TL;DR: I am $10k underwater on a 2025 Honda Prologue Elite ($42.1k payoff, $32.2k Carvana offer). 60-month loan is at 2.99% APR, payment is $950/mo ($845 goes to principal). Brooklyn insurance jumps to $525/mo in November due to a recent at-fault accident. If I sell now, I get a $1,814 insurance refund and can float the $10k negative equity on a 0% APR credit card until January 2027. Do I sell next Tuesday, or does holding until November to let my principal pay down make more sense?

The Vehicle & Loan:

  • Car: 2025 Honda Prologue Elite AWD (located in Brooklyn, NY).
  • The Market Problem: The model is being discontinued (production ends Dec 2026, no successor). Local dealerships in NY/NJ are aggressively fire-selling remaining units to clear lots, pushing massive downward pressure on used values.
  • Current Loan Payoff: $42,138 at 2.99% APR.
  • Remaining Terms: 47 months left on a 60-month loan.
  • Monthly Payment: $950/month (roughly $845 goes to principal, $105 goes to interest).

The Current Exit Offer:

  • Instant Cash Offer: $32,200 (Carvana driveway pickup).
  • Current Negative Equity: ~$9,938 (call it $10k under water).
  • Condition: Has a minor door ding and a cosmetic surface crack on the front plastic logo/radar emblem shield.

The Running Costs / Timeline:

  • Insurance Situation: Currently paying $2,450 for a 6-month cycle ending November 9th. However, I recently had an at-fault accident, and the preliminary quote for the November renewal jumps to $3,150/6-mo ($525/month).
  • If I sell today: I get a pro-rata insurance refund of roughly $1,814 for the unused days left in my current cycle.
  • The Original Plan: I was planning to move to Atlanta, GA in the near future where running costs are lower, but there is a chance I pivot and stay in NYC permanently. If I sell, I’ll just go carless and use NYC transit/occasional weekend rentals for trips.

My Dilemma / The Main Questions:

  1. Sell Now vs. Hold Until November: If I sell today, I eat the $10,000 negative equity immediately (paid via a 0% APR promo credit card expiring Jan 2027) but I get back the $1,814 insurance check. If I keep the car until November 9th, my $950 monthly payments will pay down the loan principal by $3,803. But with Honda absolutely tanking the market on these to clear lots, will the extra depreciation completely wipe out my principal paydown anyway?
  2. What if I stay in NYC? If I drop the Atlanta move and stay in Brooklyn permanently, does it make any sense to keep holding onto a $950/mo loan with an upcoming $525/mo Brooklyn insurance bill just for the sake of convenience, or is going carless an absolute no-brainer for this specific neighborhood?

Give it to me straight. Am I missing something, or is next Tuesday the right time to let them haul it away? Thanks!

Bought this for today, is it realistic?

With the CPI coming in, Robinhood prediction has that it will be >4.2% at 67%, now US retaliating and then Iran attacking bases in Bahrain? Like I really feel SPY is gonna dump, is 700 or 710 realistic for tomorrow morning volatility?

LFTO (Liftoff Mobile) IPO tomorrow, anyone requesting shares?

Liftoff Mobile is hitting Nasdaq tomorrow (June 4) under $LFTO. AI-powered mobile app advertising platform — SDK integrated into 140,000+ apps, 1.4 billion daily active users, $741M in revenue.

This is actually their second attempt — they tried in January at $26-$30/share targeting a $5B+ valuation, pulled it in February during the tech selloff, and came back with a smaller, cheaper deal. Now pricing at $20-$22/share.

The valuation reset is either a red flag or a buying opportunity depending on how you look at it. Blackstone still controls majority voting power post-IPO , which is worth knowing.

Anyone requesting shares through their broker? Thinking about it but want to hear thoughts first.

P.S: Wallstreetbets deleted my post so idk if that means something…

Trying to hit $50K, roast my updated portfolio ($18,400 total)

Where I started (~2 weeks ago):
Total: $16,257 | Roth IRA: $8,513 | Individual: $7,743

Roth IRA was spread across FXAIX, VXUS, VXF, VNQ, GLD, SCHD, QQQ, BND
Individual was mostly FXAIX (82%) with small positions in AVGO, VXUS, VNQ, QQQ, SCHD

What changed:

• Added ~$2,300 in fresh capital
• Consolidated and took on more risk per previous feedback
• Took a ~$90 loss on a space hype play and cut it early — didn’t believe in the thesis
• Dropped most of the small scattered positions

Where I am now:
Grand Total: $18,400 | +5.05%

Roth IRA ($8,407 +2.64%):

• DRAM — $4,829 (57%) -1.98%
• FXAIX — $2,527 (30%) +11.09%
• QQQ — $468 (5.56%) +20.39%
• NBIS — $414 (4.91%) -5.08%

Individual ($9,992 +7.14%):

• FXAIX — $6,386 (63.90%) +10.75%
• NBIS — $1,374 (13.75%) -2.56%
• NOK — $1,351 (13.52%) +3.91%
• AVGO — $542 (5.42%) +8.33%
• DRAM — $276 (2.76%) -5.33%

Full year of expenses saved separately, this is purely investable money.

What do you think of the changes? Still on track for $50K?

[Cartier Santos] Just picked up my first Cartier from the Diamond District. How’d I do?

First Cartier piece

Long time lurker, first time poster. Finally pulled the trigger on my first serious watch and wanted to get some feedback from people who actually know what they’re talking about.
Picked up a brand new 2026 Cartier Santos Medium from a dealer in the Diamond District in NYC. All in with tax it came to $7,730 on my AMEX(waived 3% fee). The dealer tried to get me to Zelle him for $7,100 with no tax but I wasn’t about to give up my chargeback protection on a $7K watch, hard pass.
Here’s where it gets interesting. When I got home the box wouldn’t close properly, so I immediately walked over to the Cartier boutique on Madison Ave to get it authenticated and resized. They confirmed it was 100% real, confirmed it’s a 2026, got registered for my 8 years of warranty, resized the bracelet, AND when I mentioned the box issue they just gave me a brand new box and bag on the spot. Didn’t even hesitate.
So I walked out of Cartier Madison with a verified authentic watch, properly fitted, fresh box, fresh bag, full set. Pretty surreal honestly.
Been eyeing the Santos for a while — to me it’s the quintessential classic men’s watch. The history, the design, the fact that it’s been in production for over 100 years. Feels like the right first serious piece.
Did I overpay? Did I do alright? Would love to hear from people who’ve bought grey market before.
