How did you feel after finishing the series?

As a kid, I read one volume after the other and as I advanced in the series I felt a sense of joy reading it mixed with dread knowing there were only a few albums left.

When I finished the last volume, I felt so sad knowing there wouldn't be any additional stories with Tintin and all. I wanted it so badly to last forever, but all good things come to an end and what an incredible adventure it was.

The Seal Keeper, my fantasy project set in Lebanon

Synopsis:

Lebanon, 1973.

Marwan's life as a young student is turned upside down when he crosses paths with Humbaba, the mischievous guardian of the Cedar Forest, who grants him protection through a mystical amber seal.

In the heart of Beirut, Marwan is caught in the crossfire of two rival orders - the Cedar and the Ground - set on a collision course.

Between exams, laughter, and supernatural street brawls, Marwan must save his world-or watch it burn.

Artworks:

  • Pic 1: Marwan relaxing with his snake

  • Pic 2: Humbaba guarding the cedar forest

  • Pic 3: The three orders' symbols — the Snake, which is Marwan's order (above), the Cedar (lower left) and the Ground (lower right)

"Sama Beirut", the tallest building in Lebanon

Sama Beirut can be translated as 'Sky of Beirut.' It was completed in 2016 and is ~190 meters high, located in eastern Beirut (Achrafieh district). I walked by daily on my way to college and looked up every time (I took these photos in summer 2018). It blends beautifully into the blue sky of Beirut (as it's sunny and hot for like 9 months every year).

Some gameplay of Campaign Evolved (on my PS5)

I love the "we're all gonna die!" at 0:46 and the grunt spinning around at 1:49 😂 the game is great, it's so good to be back at this franchise after so long (last time I played was Halo 3!)

An amazing collector edition

So I received it today and it's amazing. It's been a long time since I've played any Halo (my last was Halo 3!) so it's the perfect occasion to reunite with this legendary franchise... on PS5 (it's so weird lol)

Eva didn't need to kill Snake, the truth was enough to destroy him

Sure she spared Snake as she promised the Boss to reveal him everything. Yet I thought it would have been a better fate for Snake to be killed in his sleep like she planned, rather than having to live with that awful truth. My jaw just dropped in disbelief the first time I finished this game.

[Spoilers] What moments made you laugh the most in Toy Story 5?

For me, it was Buzz performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on Rex and the high-tech Lightyears breakdown upon realizing Zurg is their father 🤣🤣

Concept artist for an epic war drama set in 1973 Beirut

Edit: Thank you all for your replies! I'm reviewing them and your enthusiasm means a lot.

Hello everyone,

I'm Charbel Moussallem, a French-Lebanese amateur writer currently developing an ambitious epic war drama set in 1973 Beirut (Lebanon).

Budget: $200 USD / €170 EUR for the illustration.

The project

A coming of age urban fantasy, inspired by the real events leading up to the 1975 Lebanese Civil War.

Synopsis:

Beirut, 1973.

Marwan, a young student, finds himself caught in the crossfire of two rival orders—the Cedar and the Ground—on a collision course.

Between exams, laughter, and supernatural street brawls, Marwan must save his world—or watch it burn.

Art Style:

I am looking for a cel-shaded aesthetic (similar to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom official art, etc.)

The Task:

I would like the illustration of one of the main protagonists in the cedar forest. If we work well together, there might be potential for more character designs down the line.

Thanks in advance.
