I'm in the mood to read someone gushing over a record that really inspired them. Or articulating the abstract power of music in writing.
When I was younger, I remember reading music critics and feeling like they were actually great writers in their own right, trying to capture abstract emotions and artistic expression in words. But I can't really recall any specific examples. Does anyone have any that stick out in their minds?

I'm realizing I can't afford to purchase vintage movie posters, so I'm looking for a resource to print some at Walgreens, but I'm having trouble finding high resolution images for printing. Does anyone know of any resources for finding high resolution posters?
My wife and I stopped by Milwaukee from San Antonio from July 1-3, and we had a really great time despite the heat! (I think we brought Texas with us). Love your city! Here are some pictures I took.
Although San Antonio technically ranks among the top 10 most populated cities in the US, due to the low density (around 3,200 people/sq. mile), it's often referred to here as the country's biggest small town. That makes it kind of tough for street photography.
I'd be interested in seeing the work of other street photographers in low density areas, so we can maybe inspire one another and see how other photographers deal with the unique challenge of street photography in a "small town" environment.

I've got a Speaker Group through Google Home at my house, and with any other app or streaming service, I'm able to listen to music cast to every speaker across my house through a speaker group. However, when I try to cast to the group on poweramp, it connects quickly but only plays on one speaker.
I've tried a million things to fix this, including factory resetting every speaker and recreating the speaker group from scratch, but no matter what, when I cast to the group, it will only play to one random speaker in the house.
Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone figured out a way to solve it?
TIFU by giving a girl a mix cd, but it was the dumb and dumber soundtrack. I met the girl of my dreams recently, and I found out she likes to listen to CDs. I really wanted to impress her, so I told her that I like making mix CDs (I don't even know how to do that). She asked me to make her one, which was like my dream come true because I never thought she would ever talk to me. Except I don't know how to make a mix CD. I tried to figure it out, but I have terrible taste in music anyway, and I really wanted to impress her.
Well my parents have a collection of CDs that we used to listen to sometimes. One of them is the Dumb and Dumber soundtrack, which I really like, and the CD just says “D&D” in permanent marker, so I gave it to her and told her I made her a special mix. I told her I titled it for her, and it stood for “Dreams and Destiny” because I thought it sounded cool and provacative.
Anyway, she actually really fucked with it, and we started talking and it's been almost 6 months already, and things are going really good. Except today somehow she texts me that she just watched Dumb and Dumber. I'm shocked because who is watching this old ass movie. It's not even on streaming, she watched it at her friends parents house on dvd wtffff
She says she's just mad that I lied, and I get that, but I'm afraid it could really be a big deal because she says she doesn't trust me anymore, and she thought I made it special for her.
What do I do, Reddit?
