If you’ve not yet welcomed the joy that is the Pallas’s Cat (aka, manul) into your life, please do. I went to a zoo a few hours away because their pair had 3 kittens in May who went on display at the end of June. This is momma and baby’s beans on display.
I spent 90 minutes just staring and taking pictures and video. I may need to increase my phone’s storage.
I also think that, in exchange for not stealing one, I should get to hold one (I am totally kidding).
There’s a fridge I want that’s on sale at Costco. I’ve read multiple horror stories about delivery. The appliance store will match the item cost and discounted the extended warranty, but Costco has an instant rebate and all the other freebies. It’s about a $500 difference.
I realize everyone is different, but $500 is a big difference. The appliance store’s services are all in-house, so if I ever need service it’s faster. I’ve also read the Allstate extended warranty can be frustrating.
What would you do?
I want to upgrade my fridge and it is 70” tall (without hinges) and the current opening is 68.5”.
Should I move the cabinet up 2 inches or just remove it entirely? I don’t use it, but not sure if it would look funny with just an empty space.
I cannot move all cabinets up, so it would be uneven.

I’m planning on traveling from Minnesota to London next spring to (hopefully) see the Bayeux Tapestry. I’d been planning on the last week of May so I could use the Memorial Day holiday to recover and not need to use time off, but it seems like the last couple of years you’ve had a heat wave around then. I’d rather not vacation in 80+ degrees (27 C) without air conditioning for I am a delicate flower who sweats like a farm animal. However, I’m also a cold wimp having grown up in Florida, and cold to me is anything below 60 (15 C).
Would early to mid-May be safer?

Hi, I don’t know who may need to see this but I just drove past Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville and their message board says they have free, hot to go meals on Wednesdays. They’re about a mile from the Burnsville Transit Station if you need transportation, so not a terribly long walk.
In this economy I know a lot of people are having difficulty buying food and food pantries are overwhelmed, so thought I’d let everyone know in case it helps.
I’ve posted a few times on here about issues with my 5Pro. Today was the last straw.
I specifically bought this model because I have a cat prone to urinary crystals and if something starts happening in the litter box I want to know early, when treatment is still less than a luxury vehicle. The internal camera is useless - I’ve never seen waste because the cats bury it.
But today it says that 1) only 2 of my cats have used the robot and 2) they combined for 4 visits, all urine. I bought a SiiPet camera last week and in fact all 4 of my cats used the robot and my boy recovering from dental surgery has used the robot 8 times, 7 of which were feces (all abnormal). Not only did SiiPet alert me to the number but also the fact that they were abnormal stools! I was able to review the videos, see it was accurate, and get my boy an appointment all while still at work so he could get treated faster.
A $70 gizmo works better than an $800 one. I had 4s and a 3 connect before this, which is why I trusted them. And if I hadn’t been told repeatedly a fix was coming “soon” (since February) I’d have been able to return this overhyped hunk of junk (if yours works, great, I hold no ill will. I’m just mad they did nothing to help me).
This started in my mid-20s and, unlike wine, has not improved with age (I’m about to turn 46). I sweat a lot from everywhere: scalp, face, neck, back, chest, all the way to my toes. My doctor isn’t worried because I’m not dehydrated (though some days I truly am). It happens after showers (doesn’t matter the temperature), with any level of exertion, and in the dead of winter (when it’s multiple degrees below zero).
I get not being worried, but I feel disgusting and when I go house the restroom it’s like peeling off a wet bathing suit. I use clinical deodorant to attempt to reduce the stank and it does reduce the sweating under my arms (from running to dripping).
Has anyone found something that actually worked? I tried Carpe and use a whole dang tube in one day. I think I can get Botox in every body part. I’m really tired of this.
This is Elliot. When I walked into the shelter that day, I was just looking. He reached and grabbed my arm and said no ma’am, you’re mine. He was named Ares but he was not a god of war. We had 13 years together and he moved with me from Tampa to Denver to Minneapolis. His last day was not good, but that helps me know it needed to happen.
He’s been gone two years and I still miss him daily. I have four other kitties to help, but nothing fills the Elliot shaped hole in my heart.
First time caller, longtime listener. I’ve wanted to visit the uk for probably 40 years and with the Bayeux Tapestry making the trek thought I would, too.
I found a delightful place to stay in the Putney Bridge area (built in the 1600s) but looking at a map it seems kind of far away from much of what I’d want to see? Can anyone give me their opinion on if I’d waste too much time traveling back and forth from the city proper?
Is anybody’s working right? Mine cycles at 3 minutes for everything even when it’s just urine, and because the clumps can’t clump completely I’m getting those damn flies.
I am a reasonably mature adult (my humor is both 12-year-old boy and Frasier) and I can’t for the life of me keep my house clean. I put dirty dishes in the sink and let trash pile up in the kitchen and bath. I’ll go on a cleaning binge and get things back to clean and then let it pile up again.
How do I overcome this? I have MDD but am on an antidepressant that actually works. I’m on adderall for ADHD.
