Jor-el is a horrible dad

I can see why clark, in the crisis of infinite earth clip gave up being superman.

Jor-el was such a bad father, he gave clark so many rules to follow and was overly strict with training to be superman. He even said that his human side makes him weak and cut off everyone.

He then freezes him for weeks, when he knows bizaro is pretending to be clark.

He disowns clark, refuses to even speak to him and gives his destiny to kara. Then tells kara that she's in the way of clarks destiny and to ethier leave earth or she could ruin clark's future.

I thought he disowned clark and gave his purpose to kara, now her being there ruins clarks future?

Then at the end of the seires, jor-el says, the people of smallville are the reason clark is such a good hero and his training is finished. That is the complete opposite of what he said earlier, that the people of smallville are making him weak and to cut them off to be a good hero.

If i was clark, he would drive me inside, with his rules, flip flopping around.

Smallville made her famous… then vanished #KristinKreuk #Smallville The real truth where she went and it wasn't bad.

question often surrounding Kristin adter her departure from Smallville and not reimerging in anything major until BATB but the truth is the woman just needed a break from Hollywood and was tiered of constraints placed on her.

Kristin unlike so many actresses was as creative as she was talented and need better deals to be happy

Clark's lack of subtlety

I am currently rewatching smallville and realized that despite needing to hide his powers, Clark was doing a very terrible job at doing it. Like casually ripping doors off of hinges, ripping car roofs off etc. And yet hardly anybody knows his secret. Thoughts?

I have to laugh at the people who think Lana had no development in the show.

Lana gets a lot of unwarranted hate but perhaps the dumbest thing people say is she didn't develop or mature as a character.

Lana started the show as mildly outgoing albeit reserved girl. she was sweet, cheerleader and had business ambitions.

she eventually stops being a cheerleader and starts her own coffee shop.

you learn as the show goes on she has a big heart but she's not without her hangups.

deep down beneath it all she still hurt by the l9ss of her parents and how the town seemingly didn't care or at sometimes even seemed to mock her for it.

still, Lana, despite her misfortunes made due and picked herself up every day and pursued her passions.

she ended up falling in love with Clark who she always had a crush on similar to how Clark always had feelings for her but it took time for them both to open up all the way about those feelings for various reasons.

Clark later left town over the summer, and when he came back didn't want to keep going out for his own personal hangups of being an alien and possibly putting Lana in danger.

it broke her heart, but she still moved on.

she went to paris, took art classes, and matured quite a bit before returning for senior year.

her and Clark eventually got back together and had a more mature relationship where Clark even proposed to her but then she died and Clark had to turj back time to save her.

clark then continued the secrets for once again fearing her for her safety and then broke her heart again.

she then went tjrough a "dark" phase where sge matured again. daring Lex, learning corporate business practices and learning what it was like to live rich.

she eventually left Lex and returned to Clark before tragedy struck again first with braniac and then Lex kid napping her before she went throygh her final maturation taking on special training to harden her mind and body.

she pursued powers to be a hero in her own right and got back together with Clark for the final time where they had a mature grown up relationship and shared new experiences together fighting crime as a couple.

by this pount long since gone was the teenage girl dwelled on the past about her parents death and was content with a simple life of fruends and a coffee shop.

she was forged in fire and emerged a formidable although still gentle woman. capable in everyway but still keeping her big heart.

Pete left WAY to abruptly

I've read posts saying the writers didn't know what to do with Pete anymore as his character ran its course and the role of Clark's friend was filled by other characters... ok, that explains writing him out of the show but not why he exited so unceremoniously.

Throughout S3 he was a close friend and confidant to Clark, then he disappeared for a couple episodes, and when he reappeared he didn't even interact with Clark at all until he was literally saying goodbye. And it wasn't even a happy goodbye, he basically left while saying "stay the f\*\*\* away from me".

Was there something else going on behind the scenes for them to remove his character so harshly?
