We talk abt Muslims being victims of violence in india and say that Pakistan is a better country and we are thankful to Jinnah for the state. But what abt these people, are they thankful for Pakistan? To minorities Pakistan is just like India is to Muslims. We should bot let down our minority brothers and sisters. If we can't recognize their suffering we have no moral authority to india on its conduct of Muslims.

I like to keep them in my collection/library in fine condition and i think big books in softback degrade easily. Especially "1984" is a large book and i would like to stay in my collection for decades. Should i buy it or remove 1984 and buy a good hardback later? Also some of these books are translations, is readings translation for these classics the best or should I goto other publishers?

I want web links to open in my browser or in the app to which it belongs to like insta or Discord. But when I click on the links even with the "open in default brower" option selected from settings instead of "in app", it still uses the reddit's own internet explorer to open the links. When I click on the "open in app" option from the webpages, they dont work. I reinstalled the app and even changed the settings of my Android it still dosen't works.

I personally admire this movement so much, and I was so happy to know that some ppl are raising unified and organized voice for their rights. If you dont know, check their Facebook handle and especially read about the ksk campus student death scandal and the hostel girls expelled incident. I'll try to join it as soon as I get into uni. The thing I am disappointed abt is that they dont have enough audience like 200 to 500 likes max on their posts while I've heard that main campus alone has 20,000 students and even most of these views is from non-uet students. Hey seniors, what are your opinions about this movement.

Tbh. They have good paper quality and their covers aren't bad either. The printing is clear. But the thing i hate the most is the page orientation and text size/fonts. Just check it yourselves. There are huge margins but very small text than is the standard. Even the text in pages seems to be tilted in many pages. In some pages: the left page has its text very upwards and right page has its text very downward when compared; and I other pages its the vice versa.

A team of psychologists in Milan, Italy, wanted to understand why people sometimes ignore those who need help in public. They wondered if an unexpected event could make people pay more attention to others.

To find out, the researchers carried out an unusual experiment on the Milan subway. They observed 138 train rides. In the first part of the study, a researcher wearing a fake pregnant belly boarded the train.Another researcher quietly watched to see how many seated passengers offered their seat.

The results were surprising. Only about 38% of passengers gave up their seat for the "pregnant" woman.

Next, the researchers changed one small thing. As the pregnant woman entered the train, another researcher dressed as Batman walked into the same train car from a different door.

This time, everything changed.

About 67% of passengers offered their seat, nearly twice as many as before.Even more surprising, many of the people who gave up their seats later said they had not even noticed Batman.

Professor Francesco Pagnini, who led the study, explained that the unexpected sight of Batman may have briefly interrupted people's normal routine. Instead of moving through their journey on "autopilot," they became more aware of what was happening around them.

The researchers believe this short moment of increased awareness made people more likely to notice someone who needed help.The study showed that even a small surprise can encourage kindness. Everything's very nice, just the size of the books was small, maybe because they are also short. Got them 1,100. About 300-350 for each. For public domain classics, reading is the best choice, but for translated works like Dostoevsky, they use the free translation(i.e., constance garnett), which is a big red flag for me. That's why I ordered notes from the underground from booksblush. Its review will come tomorrow.
