Very late last minute uni suggestions - California CS

I am looking for universities which are taking in transfer applicants for CS undergrad in LA or the Bay area, for Fall 2026. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a few on my list but am looking for more which are rolling / likely to take in late applications / actually open for Fall 2026.

Thanks!

WES Duplicate Report Issue

I have received an evaluation but cannot seem to find an option to order a duplicate report to send to my institutions. I'm at serious risk of losing my education.

Does anyone know how to reach out to someone more senior or in priority? Contact us forms don't seem to be helping, and customer service provides the same generic response "I have informed the team please wait you should receive a response soon".

Foreign student looking for the easiest school to transfer into for a CS bachelors

Hi all,

I'm in a difficult situation where I have completed my high schooling abroad and two years worth of university (Canada and the UK). I am wanting to finish my undergrad CS bachelors in Florida/California as main options but Arizona/Texas as backups where I can get my transcripts evaluated, transfer in, and get a full bachelors in 2.5 years or under. Are there any unis like this anyone knows of? I'm not international (not on an F-1), I'm on an E-2 dependent status.

My main priorities:

  1. Need to be a CS bachelors (not just related to CS)
  2. Needs to be in-person or majority in-person.
  3. Needs to have a high acceptance rate / very low acceptance requirements

For context, I am looking into more traditional routes like the 2+2 in Florida, but it is looking like my credits will leave me with 3 years remaining until graduation which is too long. Going from a California CC->Undergrad bachelor seems even more competitive and unlikely I just need to graduate FAST. I don't care if the uni is public/private etc. I do not care about quality of education at all. I literally need something where i can just transfer in, get the qualification in a short amount of time, then get out

Any help would be appreciated. I'm currently just creating a list of colleges to consider. Thank you!

Hi all,

I'm in a difficult situation where I have completed my high schooling abroad and two years worth of university (Canada and the UK). I am wanting to finish my undergrad CS bachelors in either Florida/California preferably but Texas/Arizona as backups (if there are any standouts which fit my case) where I can get my transcripts evaluated, transfer in, and get a full bachelors in 2.5 years or under. Are there any unis like this anyone knows of? I'm not international (not on an F-1), I'm on an E-2 dependent status.

  1. Need to be a CS bachelors (not just related to CS)

  2. Needs to be in-person or majority in-person.

  3. Needs to have a high acceptance rate / very low acceptance requirements

  4. Preferably budget fees but obviously this is subjective

For context, I am looking into more traditional routes like the 2+2 in Florida, but it is looking like my credits will leave me with 3 years remaining until graduation which is too long. Going from a California CC->Undergrad bsc seems even more competetive and unlikely I just need to graduate FAST. i dont care if the uni is public/private etc. I do not care about quality of eudcation at all. Valencia to UCF CS via DirectConnect?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to transfer from Valencia to UCF for Computer Science and I’m still trying to understand how DirectConnect works.

Does DirectConnect basically guarantee admission to UCF as long as you earn the AA from Valencia, or does it only guarantee general UCF admission and not necessarily admission into the actual CS major?

If anyone here personally went through DirectConnect with the goal of getting into UCF CS, I’d really appreciate any anecdotes, caveats, or things you wish you knew earlier. I’m new to the Florida CC -> UCF transfer system and just trying to understand the real process before investing a lot of time into it.

Also, about the CS Foundation Exam: is it purposely designed to weed people out, or do most serious students pass within the three attempts? How risky/difficult is it realistically?

Any advice from people who’ve actually done this would be really helpful. Thanks.

▲ 1 r/tnvisa

Can a TN Visa be obtained with a relevant masters (if the bachelors does not match)?

For example, suppose someone has a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or another related quantitative field, but later completes a Master's in Computer Science and wants to work in the US as a Software Engineer under TN status.

When applying for a TN visa, would the Computer Science master's strengthen the case, or do immigration officers mainly look at the title of the bachelor's degree? Has anyone here successfully obtained a TN using a relevant master's when their undergraduate degree wasn't specifically in Computer Science?

Any official documents / anecdotes etc would help really

Thanks

State of WES Evaluations

Hi all

I’m currently using WES to evaluate foreign transcripts and they’re making mistakes and not responding quickly

Wanted to hear your timelines for document evaluations and any advice on how to contact them apart from phone and support button. Any priority methods

So far it seems like an extremely poorly functioning organisation

Thanks

Question Regarding Santafe->UF CS bachelor transfer pipeline

I heard pipeline in title used to be quite feasible but last year and this year admissions to UF CS have gone significantly harder and there were plenty of 4.0s from Santa Fe who got rejected

If there’s any stats or anecdotes on this please let me know

Hi,

I'm looking to attend Lake Sumter with the aim of attaining CS credits so I can tranfer to a university like UF or UCF etc

Does anyone have experience with the college and can advise whether there are any major issues with it regarding instructional quality / course selections etc

Any advice at this stage would be appreciated.

Thanks!
