EA login loop with steam

I’m trying to play The Sims 4 through Steam, but I keep getting stuck in an EA login loop.

My Steam account is linked to my EA account, and I’m already logged into the EA app. Whenever I try to launch Sims 4 through Steam, EA keeps popping up and asking me to log in again. After I log in, it just sends me back to the same login screen.
Something else that seems weird is that EA says “1 or more accounts are linked,” even though I only have one account linked, and it’s the exact EA account that I intentionally linked to my Steam account.

I’ve already tried:
Unlinking and linking my Steam and EA accounts again
Clearing the EA app cache
Completely closing EA and Steam and restarting my computer
Logging into the EA app before launching Sims 4 through Steam
Removing my username and logging back in

Nothing has worked. EA just keeps sending me back to the login screen.can someone help me :(

Laptop for college n gaming

Budget: $1,500
Country: USA
Use Case: College/schoolwork and gaming (primarily The Sims 4 with all DLC, mods, and custom content). I usually have multiple tabs open for research, Microsoft Office, Google meets, and everyday school tasks.
Preferred Specs:
32 GB RAM preferred (16 GB minimum if upgradeable)
1 TB SSD
Dedicated GPU preferred
Good CPU (Ryzen 7/9 or Intel Core i7/i9)
Windows only (no Mac)
Notes: My current laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 6, but it’s been giving me a lot of issues and recently stopped working, so I’m looking for something more reliable. I’d like a laptop that will last several years, run Sims 4 smoothly with lots of mods and CC, and still be great for college. Battery life is a bonus, but performance and reliability are my top priorities. Any recommendations or brands/models I should avoid?

Lenovo BIOS update completely bricked my laptop—please help

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help because I’m completely stuck.

This started because my Bluetooth stopped working. My Logitech M240 mouse wouldn’t connect, so I spent hours troubleshooting. Eventually I installed a Lenovo BIOS Flash Firmware Tool update that popped up on my laptop.
After the BIOS update finished, my laptop no longer boots into Windows.

Now I keep getting these errors:
“Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed.”
“Windows Boot Manager has been blocked by the current security policy.”

I can get to the Setup Notice and Boot Manager, and I can see my SSD listed
The problem is that I can’t navigate the Boot Manager or BIOS menus at all. My keyboard works (Caps Lock responds), but the arrow keys, Enter, Tab, Esc, and touchpad don’t let me move or select anything. A Bluetooth mouse doesn’t work either.

I’ve already tried:
Restarting and force shutting down multiple times
Unplugging the charger
Using the Lenovo pinhole reset
Trying the suggested BIOS keys
Waiting after the BIOS update

Nothing has worked, and I’m completely stuck.
Has anyone had this happen after a Lenovo BIOS update? Is there a way to recover the BIOS or fix the Windows Boot Manager without losing my files? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Talking to gambler ?

Im 22 (F), and I’ve known this guy (24M) for about two years. We’ve recently started talking in a relationship way. He has a gambling addiction and has lost a significant amount of money over the years. He started investing in stocks when he was young, and he told me that if he hadn’t lost so much through gambling, he could have been financially set by now. He’s aware that he has a gambling problem and knows it’s an addiction.
Because I care about him, I wanted to understand gambling addiction better, so I did my own research. After learning more about it and how serious it can be, especially for young men, I’ve become very concerned. He’s shared how much gambling has negatively affected his life and mental well-being, which made me want to support him and encourage him to take small steps toward recovery.

Recently, though, he told me he wants to enter a big gambling tournament. After everything he’s shared with me about how gambling has impacted him, I was really disappointed to hear that. It feels like a step backward.

Part of me feels like I should walk away because I’m still young and could find a partner who doesn’t struggle with this. At the same time, I know gambling addiction is a real addiction, and it’s often a silent one that many people don’t realize is so serious.
I’m not sure what to do. Should I continue supporting him and hope he eventually chooses recovery, or is it healthier for me to move on before I become too emotionally invested?

I care about him, but I’m worried about his past choices

22F and I’ve known this guy (24M) for about two years. We’re currently talking and exploring the possibility of a relationship. He has struggled with gambling and has lost a lot of money over the years. He started investing when he was younger, and he told me that if he hadn’t made so many risky choices, he believes he would be in a much better financial situation today.
I do care about him, but I’m unsure how to feel about getting serious with someone who has had this issue for so long. I know people can change, but I’m worried about what this could mean for a future relationship. Has anyone been in a similar situation
