Hi. Question goes to those who have been lurking around for a long time. Do you ever trust someone entirely for who they are behind the screen?

I was once told that i was the opposite gender imitating another gender and spreading hate when i was genuinely curious. That made me realise that this place is scarier than what it looks to be. Trust is far more unreachable than what i had in mind. It made me extremely cautious about who i talk to after because of how ingrained it is in my mind that you can never trust anything online

Apart from meeting up and confirming if they are real, what other steps do you take to prevent from being scammed? Video calls? Idk how you fake that one but it made the most sense to confirm an identity. You can certainly fake a voice but not a face on live call.

What if you don't want to expose yourself? What other measures are there to confirm the identity of the person you're talking to?

Appreciate all opinions and thoughts. The world is scary enough. There is no need to make it worse

Hi everyone. Posted a couple of days ago and i’m reaching out again because i sort of got dump for the 100000th time. Someone reached out to me after my post and my instinct said to reply regardless if there was any ASL that came with it or not (my requirements in my post). There was nothing of sort but only “hi there”.

Got to know the asl later on and i will be frank about it. I hope this post reaches you one way or another because it seems like my approach at being chronically online pushed you away, resulting in the silent treatment, or rather i was blocked (?). I wasn’t trying to make myself look like a fool and i agree it may not have been the best approach but i guess i was a little scared of losing you. People dump me for absolutely no reason at all before even getting to know me and i guess i got a little too attached to you. I was genuinely trying to get to know you and i wanted to somehow be more than friends but i guess it ends here for you? :(

Hi. I am very much chronically online as and when i have the time which has been for the past 3 weeks. Also got a little too hooked on reddit for it’s anonymity which i am genuinely loving but afraid at the same time. Reason being i am liking it to be mysterious but i’m afraid of the other side of things. What if i’m talking to someone i know? What if i’m talking to 2 people at the same time (different accounts)? When you think of these things, you get anxious and that made me take a step back.

I still went forward with this post because you shouldn’t let fear get to you. Explore the world, no matter what that is. You only live once am i right? Why stop just because you’re afraid?

Hihi! Been seeing alot more Fs posting here and it’s good that more people are coming out of their shells to see what the world has to offer. I know being an introvert drains you especially when there is human connection involved but i am sure you would like it if it’s someone you’re comfortable with/someone you like :)

Hi. Another day another post. At this point, it looks like i'm desperate but i would like to think otherwise 😭 i'm genuinely bored with work despite my colleague being extremely busy kinda sets me off. I'm not lazy. I'm just not being taught at work hence i'm not learning much.

First and foremost, i am certainly not a gamer. The games i play (Nintendo switch) are chill like stardew valley or animal crossing. I also do play switch sports and pico park, that’s about it. Anything fps related, i’m not into it because i am anaemic (if that matters).

I have lots of stuff on stardew because i saved them instead of using them so i can definitely donate it to you! Animal crossing pretty much the same too though i am trying to rebuild my island but i am super lost as to what i should be doing. Nonetheless you are invitied to both my islands!
