Statement from Mayor Roberto Alves on white nationalist group activities outside Danbury police stattion

I’ve seen the video of what appears to be a white supremacist group gathered outside Danbury Police Headquarters last night.

Let me be very clear: there is no place for hate, racism, or white supremacy in Danbury.

This city is home to people who came here from across the country and around the world. People of different races, religions, cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs. That diversity is not something that divides us. It is part of who we are, and it is one of Danbury’s greatest strengths.

There will always be people who try to use fear and hate to pull communities apart.

We cannot allow them to define us. Danbury is better than that.

We will stand together, we will look out for one another, and we will never allow hate to speak for this city.

White supremacy is not welcome here. Racism is not welcome here. Hate is not welcome here.

Mayor Roberto L. Alves

Additional info: HatCityBlog located a second video that identifies the group as Northeast Action. Their stated reason for insisting on white only is Danbury allowing DACA recipients to be police officers.

This is so sad.

Like it’s so funny and pathetic how bad republicans have screwed themselves that they have to offer 5k checks they can’t afford and saying “give us more time”. If they lose the house and even the senate, I wonder what they’ll do. Like maybe try to not confirm any democrats. Try to claim fraud.

At this point, why even be politicians jd Vance should just be a podcaster, he could just say anything and he’d have no election to win. Maybe do that and form his church, try to permission from the Catholic Church or do what SSPX or Opus Dei did and form his own branch of the Catholic Church. Recruit maga people to it.

Now More Than Ever We Must Be Organizing

We are not truly appreciating the knock-back effects that will occur once diesel fuel skyrockets. It will take a few weeks for things to come home to roost. The market isn't rational, and no one wants to believe things aren't going back to "normal." Harvest season is coming, and every aspect of the harvest requires diesel fuel. Every aspect of transporting the crop requires diesel fuel. That's not including literally every other product. America's blood runs through its trucking, and we aren't even getting into the number of Americans who have commutes of over 20 miles a day, or the just-in-time nature of the economy, or the shortages of literally everything because literally everything requires oil.

If you aren't part of an org, you need to be part of an org. Even if you can't do shit else but show up once a month and pay the $10 in monthly dues, do it. The rapid surge in prices and the economic collapse we're about to experience will push our logistics to the extreme, while at the same time more and more people will find themselves in need. The rage of the people will swell, and we must be able to capture it, to bring that heat to a class-conscious boil. We must steel our resolve and prepare for what is to come. We must be activated. We must push our organizing to move steadfastly. We must ask more of ourselves and our comrades. We must understand that every day in this country people are dying deaths of despair. We must understand that these deaths will only increase so long as we do not have power over the state. We must understand that concentration camps have been built on our soil, filled with the people of this land, and these camps will continue to be built, with more and more of us abducted for forced labor within them. We must understand that as things collapse, the regime that controls our productive forces continues to cut what little is given. The paltry welfare state continues to be cut at every corner to enrich the billionaire class. Every dollar a billionaire gains is a dollar a working family goes without. We must understand that we, as revolutionaries, are tasked to battle for those working families. We must understand that every lick of the belt dealt to the working class is an act of war from the capitalist. Rising fuel, cut wages, mass unemployment: these are the lashes of the switch designed to discipline us into compliance. We will grit our teeth at each strike and build the resolve to overcome, the strength to break the belt, to take the whip from the master's hand.

We must. We will. Congress has taken another two-month vacation. Our ruling classes have left us out to die while they enjoy paid leave. We are not represented, and the people who suffer in this country, the working classes, are not represented. We must build dual power. We must become the representation they lack. We have been gifted a place in history so unique: we are in the belly of a dying beast, a beast that has smothered humanity for too long. We must accept our place in history, rise to the occasion, and do what is to be done.

For the people, anything.

>And, indeed, it is safe to say that every single speech, every single article in a newspaper of any trend, every single resolution passed by any meeting or institution quite clearly and explicitly recognises the chief and principal measure of combating, of averting, catastrophe and famine. This measure is control, supervision, accounting, regulation by the state, introduction of a proper distribution of labour-power in the production and distribution of goods, husbanding of the people’s forces, the elimination of all wasteful effort, economy of effort. Control, supervision and accounting are the prime requisites for combating catastrophe and famine. This is indisputable and universally recognised. And it is just what is not being done from fear of encroaching on the supremacy of the landowners and capitalists, on their immense, fantastic and scandalous profits, profits derived from high prices and war contracts (and, directly or indirectly, nearly everybody is now “working” for the war), profits about which everybody knows and which everybody sees, and over which everybody is sighing and groaning.

Why?!?!

Accepted a job offer for a UFCW pharmacy. Ex wobbly. Quick question: why TF are there scabs with badges in the UFCW? Labor history and labor news should show what kind of threat cops are.

Report: In One Year, Trump Regime Ripped SNAP Benefits From 20% Of Connecticut Recipients

  • A new report found that far more Connecticut residents lost SNAP benefits over the past year than state officials initially projected
  • The losses stemmed from the Republican-led federal budget law passed in July 2025, which expanded work requirements and shifted costs to states
  • Connecticut’s decline mirrored a national trend, with millions of Americans losing SNAP benefits since the law took effect

Kinda cool how all of the socialist talking heads are like "woke 1.0 was crazy" and "defunding the police is crazy" right after multiple protestors get hit with 50+ year sentences

Wtf was this called

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to find an obscure horror film. It was released on ChillerTV back in 2012 or 2013. It's about a disgruntled hitman who crosses paths with a serial killer at an all night diner. I don't remember the title other than "... of Evil". Something of evil

Update

I've been busy trying to not be homeless anymore. Sadly this means I'm a little out of touch with new novel releases this year. What's good? Any recommendations?
