DC Supporters Club
Does anyone know if there's a DC/VA supporters club? The closest I've found is Philly. Thanks for the info.
USPS counter eReceipt never arrived — can it be resent?
I mailed a package at a staffed USPS retail counter and chose the eReceipt option. I entered and confirmed the correct email address, but the receipt never arrived. I’ve checked Spam, Trash, and Promotions.
For anyone who works at USPS or has experienced this:
- How long can a retail eReceipt be delayed?
- What commonly causes it not to arrive when the address was entered correctly?
- Can the Post Office reprint or resend the receipt?
- Is there a specific USPS department or support channel that can recover the receipt or tracking number if no paper copy was provided?
I’m not asking for help tracking a specific package and won’t post any personal, transaction, or tracking information. I’m trying to understand the eReceipt process and the best official contact route.
Has anyone successfully returned a jersey to Boutique Soccer?
I recently ordered a customized U.S. 2014 away jersey from Boutique Soccer. It was labeled XL, but it fit more like a medium—far smaller than expected. The jersey otherwise appeared authentic to me, and the customization looked fine.
I contacted support asking for return authorization and instructions. So far, I’ve only received an automated acknowledgment pointing to their information page and saying personalized items are normally not eligible for returns.
Has anyone actually completed a return with Boutique Soccer, especially for an incorrectly sized personalized item? Did they accept it, and if so, what did you have to do—photos or measurements, return address, shipping label, and how long the refund took? Any tips on getting a human response would be appreciated.
Current ways for kids to get Orioles autographs—anything like Signature Sundays?
My son is a huge Orioles fan, and I’m trying to find current autograph opportunities. I searched the sub and found a few earlier posts, but most of the information was from previous seasons.
The Nationals have Signature Sundays. Do the Orioles offer anything similar at Camden Yards—recurring autograph sessions, Birdland member events, team appearances, Caravan events, or certain game-day times and locations that work well for kids?
I’m not looking for ways to bother players privately—just official or fan-friendly opportunities. Thanks for any current advice!
Getting player autographs before a game?
Taking my kids to a game and hoping to get a player autograph beforehand. Is that realistic at Nats Park? Where should we go, how early should we arrive, and any other tips?

Army WHtR Compared to Other Services
How/why did the Army get this wrong compared to the other services?
Compiled data from service sources (links in the table); table formatted with AI.
| Service | Standard and process | Distinguishing feature |
|---|---|---|
| Army | <0.550 passes. At 0.550+, a second team repeats the measurement that day; confirmed failure means immediate ABCP enrollment and flag. | Only service using WHtR as the sole dispositive test. No tape, BIA, DEXA/BodPod appeal or high-AFT exemption. Everyone must test within 90 days. Separations paused pending a 180-day review. AD 2026-13 |
| Marine Corps | ≤0.52 passes the screen. Above that proceeds to multi-site tape or BIA; a Marine must fail both available methods before BCP assignment. | Strictest initial ratio, but substantial safeguards. High PFT/CFT performers receive additional body-fat allowance. MARADMIN 066/26 |
| Navy | ≤0.5499 passes. At 0.5500+, Navy calculates sex-normed body fat using height, waist and weight; limits are 26% male/36% female. | Two-stage system plus a demanding high-performance exemption. Two annual cycles for AC/TAR; some drilling reservists require only one. Navy BCA Guide |
| Air Force | WHtR supplies 20% of the PFRA score but has no component minimum. An Airman above .55 who also fails the composite PFRA receives BIA/InBody or a multi-site tape assessment. | A ratio above .55 does not by itself fail the Airman. RegAF tests twice yearly; ARC annually. Official scoring began 1 July; current results due 31 July/31 August. AFMAN 36-2905 |
| Space Force | <0.55 passes. At 0.55+, use lab-grade assessment—preferably DXA—or multi-site tape; 26% male/36% female limits. | Clean two-stage health/intervention model, including verification and a six-month improvement program before escalating administrative consequences. SPFMAN 36-2905 |
| Coast Guard | Not covered because it remains under DHS. It retains its existing height/weight, abdominal-circumference and body-fat system. | Its new service-wide PFT became official in July 2026, but the old body-composition policy remains. Coast Guard program |
New Napoli Shirts
Anyone going to Napoli in the near future willing to bring back a Napoli shirt to the U.S.?
Those import duties are ridiculous.
Another WHtR Post
Worth a quick read: the Army studied the value of the WHtR measurement for the Marines: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=6003714
The main finding is that it's useful for a first-pass screen, but if someone goes over, they should be screened via multifrequency BIA to avoid penalizing high-performance, muscular personnel.
The lack of secondary testing and performance exemptions in the new Army Directive indicates that this is less about readiness and more about aesthetics.
This will disproportionately affect older soldiers, as you tend to accumulate more abdominal fat with age, though it may be more generous to females. Data from the Marines' study. Also note the study used a WHTr cutoff of 0.50, not the Army's 0.55.
Males:
| Metric | 17–26 | 27–39 | 40–45 | 46+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exceeded tape limit | 37.2% | 55.3% | 67.2% | 52.6% |
| Exceeded BMI limit | 38.4% | 53.1% | 58.4% | 49.1% |
| Exceeded both tape and BMI | 30.3% | 43.7% | 51.2% | 49.1% |
| Exceeded WHtR 0.50* | 33.3% | 54.3% | 70.4% | 61.4% |
Females:
| Metric | 17–26 | 27–39 | 40–45 | 46+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Exceeded tape limit | 71.7% | 71.4% | 60.3% | 70.0% |
| Exceeded BMI limit | 41.3% | 45.3% | 36.2% | 30.0% |
| Exceeded both tape and BMI | 41.3% | 45.0% | 36.2% | 30.0% |
| Exceeded WHtR 0.50* | 18.1% | 16.8% | 17.2% | 10.0% |
Old Bottle
My son found this old Pepsi bottle in a lake nearby our house. Does anyone have any idea how old it is?
Belgian Footballing Culture(s)
USA and Napoli supporter here. I’ve always found Belgium fascinating, both because you punch well above your weight in international football and because of the country’s unique parallel governance structure of regions and linguistic communities.
I was wondering whether there are noticeable regional differences in football development between Flanders and Wallonia. Do the two regions have different youth development or tactical philosophies and/or fan cultures? Are they influenced at all by the Netherlands and France, respectively? I’m not trying to diminish Belgian national identity; just curious whether there are historical and cultural influences that show up in football philosophies.
From a quick look at the current squad, Flanders seems slightly overrepresented and Wallonia slightly underrepresented, though that could easily just be year-to-year statistical variance. It may also have to do with where clubs, academies, population density, and urban centers are concentrated. Is there an effort to balance out regional representation on national teams?
Also, what language does the national team usually train in? I'm assuming most of the players are at least bi-lingual if not tri-lingual.
Thanks for entertaining my curiosity.

Personally, my favorite is Seeing Red! I’ve been listening to it for years, and it’s still my go-to.
