Hello. I will do my best to explain what’s going on, and any advice is appreciated.

Ok so boom, around the end of June, my elderly neighbor was in her front yard speaking to a tenant about getting some brickwork done on her home. They were talking, then out of nowhere, a neighbor from up the block (a 39 y/o Hispanic woman with 4 kids) runs down with her baby daddy and shoves herself into the elderly homeowner’s front yard! The two of them start a verbal altercation before the Hispanic woman lunges at her and starts physically assaulting the elderly women. Her baby daddy is blocking the gate while all this is going on, so no one can rescue the elderly woman. Eventually, a tenant comes down and rescues her, but the Hispanic couple get in his face and threaten him!

The police were called, and in the confusion, they ended up arresting the elderly homeowner but not the Hispanic couple, on the grounds that from what they gathered, the homeowner was the aggressor and because the 4 kids are under 18 and saw what happened. Her face and head were swollen and there was bruising all around her eyes. She even told me she blacked out during the fight because she hit her head when she was pushed down.

She’s doing better now but this whole mess ended up in a court date. And before anyone says “use cameras” I recorded the incident on my ring doorbell cam, but the police didn’t want to see it. Honestly, I can’t believe all this happened because she asked the 4 kids to stop playing in front of her home. They were damaging her fence, her car, and would sneer at them when her and her husband were on their porch. I get it’s a public sidewalk, but still. One of them even today picked off all the flowers she planted by her tree!

They’re a peaceful Caribbean old couple. I just don’t get it, man. 😢

UPDATE: I sent them the video from my ring doorbell cam. I will not post it to social media out of respect for the court case. The couple has asked me not to get further involved, but are glad there was recorded evidence. Thank you all for the kind words 😊

Update 2: I have decided to keep the Etsy store (for now) and just post stuff I already make on there. If it sells, cool. If not, there’s always gifting or donating. 🫡💕

^siiiiiiiiigh* ok so boom, recently I’ve been sending my older sister finished projects because I like to share what I make, and she pitched the idea of me opening an Etsy shop. My family has also pitched the idea to me, so I go along with it.

However, my sister then tells my cousin, who’s involved with some support groups for cancer patients, and now she wants this complex bag pattern to be done so she can show it off to other patients. My sister also told some girl that rents her garage as a gym studio about my nonexistent Etsy shop and then SHE wants bags from me too!

I feel like my fun hobby I picked up 3 years ago is being hijacked by money hungry people and I hate it 😢 I just want to go back to making stuff that I like again. It feels like I have no control over anything anymore and it’s making me crash out internally. 😭

Hello 👋🏼 so over the past week I had a massive abscess in the middle of my breasts (think Iron Man’s chest but more painful) 😓 anyway, I was desperate to get it to drain because it was so painful, and also caused a fever and fatigue. I remembered seeing on here something called My Magic Healer, a draining salve. Vicks wasn’t working, so I thought what the heck, add to cart. When it arrived, I added the salve, Vicks, and a huge bandaid, then went to sleep. This morning, around 6am, it finally drained! I was so relieved 😌 it’s currently draining out now but I wanted to share this potential hack.

Hello! 👋🏼 I’ve been lurking on the subreddit for years but am just now getting around to posting. I’ve had HS since I was 12 years old (I’m 28 now) under my arms and had surgery to remove it when I was 18. After using dove deodorant for a few weeks, the wounds have opened up and sometimes it flares a little, but nothing I can’t treat at home. Anyway, I’ve had a recent flare up in the bikini area and wanted to know if there were any remedies to treat the area because I don’t want to put Vicks down there lol.
