I'm on my honeymoon on Tahiti and have been trying to catch something for the last 10 days. Today it happened and I caught this.

Once I hooked it my adrenaline levels were so high I could have lived without a heart for 15 minutes. I quickly took a few pictures before trying to get my pliers to remove the hook and it unhooked itself. I immediately let it back into the water because I thought those 30 seconds were already going to kill it. I may look calm in the picture but I'm actually panicking.

Anyone have an idea what it is? Either a crocodile needlefish or a cornetfish, but I swear the whole length of it's snout opened. I might be imagining things, though.

Also no mental preparation in the past days could have prepared me for that slimy yet firm grip.

That's it. I'm going back to my mother's root cellar.

Well, everybody who said that I would be overrun by Dwarves, suck it. I was overrun by peasants. The net result was basically the same, but with fewer axe wounds. Aaanywho, I am now willing to believe those who suggested that wood might be a poor choice for building a tower. I'm thinking maybe mud? Sand? Coral? I'd hire a consultant but after my recent setbacks, I'm kind of low on funds.

A small wooden fortress has appeared near my tower. When I went to check it out, it was occupied by tiny screaming humanoids, running and climbing everything. Overcaffeinated Dwarves, maybe?

Should I go ahead and fireball it, just to be safe? It looks very flammable.
