I recently got a 10 gallon and planted a bunch of plants I got at PetCo (I have no aquatic plant shops here), i added API QuickStart to it and it’s been about 2 weeks. The nitrate levels are 0, the ammonia levels are 1.6 and I ghost feed once a day. I have a lot of live plants in the tank too.
When would I need to do a water change and how long should I wait to add in shrimps?

Also the tank has springtails and I plan on adding isopods from my culture, he’s also got two hidden log hides. I plan to add his heat lamp tomorrow when it comes in!
We rescued an amazon tree boa from someone who didn’t want her anymore and it’s been a roller coaster. She had a super bad spider mites infection and after fully treating it she got upgraded from a bin to a full bioactive tank. I’m really proud of her for pulling through
I have a bioactive enclosure that I mist in the morning and at night so the humidity has a gradient when he’s sleeping and when he’s awake. (60-80% humidity and 75 Temp during the day, goes down to 69 at night) I’ve noticed he likes to be under the leaf litter next to a lotus pod, when I move the lotus pod around his tank he moves to find it.
I’m kind of worried about him because I’ve never heard of them being on the ground, does he have an obsession with the lotus pod or is something else wrong?

I’m a little concerned about this mold popping up in my 2 month old terrarium, I currently only have springtails in it and was wondering if I should add more in.
I’ve noticed the mold kinda come out of nowhere and it’s spreading into pretty big pockets, should I also let it dry out? I have a centipede that’s humidity dependent living in there so I’m a bit lost

This is the topsoil I use for my bioactive set ups and I wanted to know if anyone knew if isopods would thrive on it (I plan on making bins), I know it has no type of fertilizer in it and it’s got wood in it. I also know my springtails love the stuff since it decays well when moist
