I would like to ride my late 80s road bike outside some time, but this chainstay bridge limits me to very narrow tires that are getting harder to find (25c or less). This is not comfortable on the crap roads we have here.

Any suggestions? It's Reynolds 531 tubing, if that matters. The chainstays are 16"/406mm long.
