Today I just discovered a way of thinking that could alter the way I think forever.

So I’ve been getting into spirituality recently; I only started to fully invest about a week ago and since then I’ve been researching chakras, meditating and I’m already more than halfway through a book called “The Untethered Soul,” and I’ve also engaged with this sub a couple of times.

I normally give up something after a couple of days but it’s been a week and my curiosity into spirituality is still growing strong.

Anyways, in the book it talked about energies and leaving your heart open for any opportunity to allow the energy to flow, so much so that people can feel it. Well I’ve been doing that and wow…

I have a job interview in 5 days and usually I’d be stressing, overthinking and panicking about my performance. Instead, I’ve been leaving my heart open and I’ve been getting excited about it and I’ve barely even had an anxious thought about it.

And whenever I have had thoughts about it, instead of engaging I’ve just been observing without analysing as that would use my energy.

And what truly made me make this post is this thought I had “There’s no need to worry about the interview as everything will go fine, and if it doesn’t, the universe has better plans for me.” This has shifted my mentality.

If I don’t get this job, I won’t be sad at all. It’s the universes way of saying that it’s not the best opportunity for me at the moment and something better will come.

I’ve had ups and downs my entire life and throughout my teenage years and even recently and there’s been times where I feel like I’ve had bad luck or moments that made me feel hopeless, for an example: going on a date with a girl who didn’t want to go on a second date. I felt quite sad after that.

But after rethinking everything, the date didn’t go well because the universe has something better for me in the future.

RIGHT NOW is a perfect example. All the ups and downs I’ve had lead me to THIS moment. The moment where spirituality has been calling to me.

I'm reading a book called 'The Untethered Soul,' by Michael A. Singer and I have a question about energy.

He described it as having the option to open and close your energy and how you should try leave it open for every moment and how if you have enough energy overflowing, people can start to feel it.

Does this apply to what would usually be a negative scenario? For instance, I’m trying to get a new job and the dread of having to be on a phone call / go to a job interview is making me nervous and anxious.

From what I understood, this would usually entail me closing my energy. But does he mean instead of feeling anxious and nervous, I should try leave my energy open, so instead of being nervous I should reframe it as being excited for a new opportunity?

And how would I keep my energy flowing in dark and trying times such as financial instability and attending funerals? None of this is happening to me, it’s just something I’ve wondered.

Does all of this also explain how such a lively and charming person can light up a room in seconds?

Why aren’t my triceps growing?

So a week or two ago I posted on here asking why my biceps weren’t growing. I got a lot of helpful advice and decided to implement the advice into my workouts and it may be a placebo effect, it may not but I did notice and feel my biceps getting more stronger and I noticed that I started using my biceps more rather than my forearms.

However I’ve also now noticed that my triceps seem to be lacking and in fact, a few people said my triceps were lacking in that post as well.

For context I’m 21, 5’7 and weigh 70kg.

I currently do:

Dips (15kg added plate) 3x8
Tricep Pushdown 26kg 3x10
Shoulder Press (25 each side) 8 8
DB Press 20kg 2x7
Tricep Extension 48kg 2x10
Pec Fly 45kg 3x8
CB Raises 3.4kg 4x15

I know the numbers are quite low but I decided to lower them as I noticed I was ego lifting a lot / my form was off and wanted to improve. I am also currently on a cut, I was 72kg. I eat around 150g of protein a day while eating 2300 calories (I walk 10k everyday).

Could my workout choices be improved? Am I just not pushing hard enough?

Why won’t my biceps grow?

I’ve been going to the gym for a year and a half now and I feel like my biceps are lacking a lot compared to everyone.

I do chin ups, lat pulldowns, arm curls, shrugs and face pulls.

I’ve went from 58kg to 71kg in this time span. Do I need to lower the weight on my arm curls and do higher reps?

Is this enclosure appropriate for a Syrian?

So I had a winter white who sadly passed away 2 weeks ago. You may have seen the post but it was because of a type of cancer. She lived up to 2.6 years so she lived her best life.

I’m now going to start clearing out the enclosure as I’m thinking about getting a Syrian now that I have experience.

There’s a few worries I’ve been having however and I thought it would be best to ask everyone here. And as a side note, the enclosure was way neater and organised than this, I was just moving things around to see what could be posed as a risk.

My first concern is the tunnel in the last slide. That tunnel connects the two houses in the top left corner but I’m worried that it’s far too small. Do I get rid of it?

My second worry is the wheel. Would I need to get a bigger one? Syrians are bigger and so I’m worried that his or her back will arch when running on it.

And also, in the middle there’s two white houses, each one having stairs with holes in them which I’m sure can be dangerous for hamsters so I’m going to remove those stairs.

Do you think I should also add more hiding spots? I know hamsters love a clustered area for their natural instincts.

Any other pieces of advice or critiques are more than welcome.

I’m unsure wether to cut or bulk and it’s frustrating me

I started going to the gym March 17th 2025. The first two pictures are what I took during that time and the last two pictures were today.

I weighed 58kg to begin with now I weigh 72kg. I did a full body workout routine to begin with up until I’d say August 2025 then I swapped to a PPLR split. During this time I’ve been eating around 3000 calories as I had a job that made me lift and walk a lot as well as walking 10k steps daily.

What’s making me feel confused and frustrated is that I don’t look big enough to cut but I also don’t think I’m small enough to continue bulking but I also don’t like the way I look in the mirror as there’s a decent amount of fat on my stomach which you can see because of my love handles.

What option would be best?

URGENT PLEASE READ

Before you say go to the vet yes I’m going to go to the vet my mum is almost back and I can’t drive so I’m waiting for her.

She’s been completely normal up until now but just 5 minutes ago she started moving around like crazy like you can see in the video, she was biting things, moving like crazy and turning over and over.

She’s 2.6 years now so I’m thinking that’s most likely the cause.

I’m so anxious and seeing her like this makes my stomach churn

Is there literally anything I can do?????

What are the chances of this? It was during community day where my luck with shiny Deinos were poor

How can I improve my pull ups?

I can do a fair amount of reps in one set, being 10. I know compared to some it’s not great but I could barely do 5 at 59kg and now I’m doing 10 at 72kg so I think that’s okay progress.

I was wondering how good my form was so I decided to record myself and I noticed that I swing quite a fair bit. How can I prevent this? I want to get my form good before progressing on weighted pull ups.

What are your pet peeves?

So I’m finally quitting on the 28th. It’s far, yes, but I like the money and I thought it would be nice to give them a whole month notice.

I decided to quit because I discovered that retail just isn’t for me. I started as a Christmas temp and have now been here for 8 months but I decided to leave because of the customers.

I swear TkMaxx has the most impatient customers out of any other retail store and are just rude.

I have a lot of pet peeves that I have but the main two are:

people handing me their basket over the counter. It’s so pointless. Just put the items on the counter and then take your basket with you after?

People getting mad at my folding. My folding is absolutely fine. But I guess if you’re sad enough to want your clothes from this jumbo sale of a store to be perfectly wrapped, you can do it yourself.
